That's a jaw dropping statistic. Absolutely astonishing. Yet the managers job is seemingly as sound as a pound.

I wonder if anybody on the board knows this? that's an utterly inexcusable and damning statistic.

I don't think that we are last, we are 82nd, the 92nd position is the combination of goals scored at Old Trafford by both teams. Also we have scored 10 goals not 13.

Could be worse, could be Villa with 6, we've struck 4 more than them.

Christ almighty that's beyond ridiculous, and this bit from the oh so bad squad Moyes inherited.

In comparison, during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final title-winning season in charge (2012-13), it took United just four games to reach 13 league goals at home.

Not to deliberately strike an opposite pose to the bandwagon, but we have only played 9 home games this season. Championship, League One and League Two teams have mostly played 12.

So the other leagues have played 33% more games than us at home. Us being bottom of those tables isn't exactly okay, we all know we've been shit.

But wait, we've scored the same amount of home goals as Stoke and Watford. Aren't Stoke and Watford being lauded for their play this season?

Basically, one Premier League team will be bottom of this table every year. Today its us

By the same token if you add 33% of our total (13) you get 17.29 which still makes us last

I don't hate LVG but when he gets sacked, he can't complain. Our team isn't great but they're better than this.

True, but it's not something you want to be near the top of the table for anyway. Judging from that table, we've only conceded 3 home goals this season in the Prem.... the same amount as Chelsea after 9 games in their record-breaking season.

It's the goals scored column where we have been crap

Yet you show no proof we aren't , even if we're not bottom I'm betting were not far from it which is disgusting either way.

If you looked at the link you'd know we aren't, if you read the previous posts you'd know we aren't, what more proof do you need?

I think we've also got the lowest home goals scored in Spain too with 0.

True, but it's not something you want to be near the top of the table for anyway. Judging from that table, we've only conceded 3 home goals this season in the Prem.... the same amount as Chelsea after 9 games in their record-breaking season.

It's the goals scored column where we have been crap
Yeah, the title is like something from Buzzfeed. Click on it thinking we've scored the fewest goals out of all 92 teams in the league, only for it to basically link to a page for people who decide to go to stadia purely based on how many goals are scored there by both teams. Yes, we're dire when it comes to scoring but at home we've got the second best defence in the country. The list on the Daily Mail would lead you to thinking that teams like Everton and Morecambe are doing excellently, but Morecambe are 17th in League Two with 19 goals conceded at home, and Everton are 11th in the Premier League with the worst home defence in the league with 19 goals conceded.

Those sorts of lists don't tell you much other than which stadia has the most games that are goalfests and which don't. Separating the stats like I've done above makes things clearer but also says what we already know anyway. We're one of the worst at scoring at home - but not the worst, we have one of the best defensive records at home and our points are middle ground.

Outstanding work Damien!

Although we have had some real problems, if we'd won half of the last 7 games (instead of none of them) we'd probably be (undeservedly) top of the league.

Our possession based defensive record was pretty good until recently
