I don't reckon he's snapped it, probably just a strain or partial tear. Still be out for a couple of months minimum though you'd think. Sterling needs to step up for them.

He's been the best signing this season, he'll be a massive miss for them.

Think he's the best player to be transferred this season. Pound for pound there may be better (Alli, Kante?)
Kante.

Shame about the injury though. Such unfortunate timing. Looks likely to miss city final push for the title, a promising champions league campaign and the euros.

He, the return of Aguerro, and the way they are scoring late goals are the reason City will do very well this season. Prepare yourselves metaphysically for them to win at least two trophies.

De Bruyne out, Hazard in poor form, Fellaini looking horrible and Kompany injured (although the Spurs lads are doing well) it's not looking too great for Belgium if his injury is serious.

I saw it happen live and it was absolutely disgusting. Some flash young foreign player with a fancy haircut who has no respect for the fundamentals of football. Where are they learning the game?

When you dive, you STARFISH, not only because the starfish position is the mating call of the referee's whistle, but to protect yourself from injury. All limbs extended and safely above the ground for a low altitude glide with a smooth landing. No possible way to catch your toe in the turf, son.

Vertonghen is out too. Naingollan is in terrible shape. Benteke too.

They are all saving themselves for the EC :)

At least Lukaku is playing well and improving in his ability to hold play up. Then there is also Batshuayi, although Wilmots will probably push Origi in ahead or something daft.

Probably. I have been very frustrated with Wilmots' choices.

Devastating news for the player. On an entirely selfish front, it is good news for us. Never nice to see a player miss an important period of the season.. hope he comes back strong. (Well, in the Euros maybe.. just don't do anything domestically. Cheers Kev lad)

Interesting to see how we play without him, it forces Pellegrini's hand back to Sterling and Navas on the wing with Silva in the middle behind Aguero - just like our first 5 games before the De Bruyne signing when we were playing with tons of width and pace. Wishing him a speedy recovery though, the boy is different gravy - as productive as they come.

It should work. Gives your attack a bit more balance.

Personally, I would play De Bruyne deeper alongside Fernandinho/Delph and have a new winger for the right.

Surely he is the best crosser of the ball in world football. That is what I would want him doing anyway.
Not great at beating a man though and lacks pass. Loves coming central and has great vision/passing range. Seems better to have him dictating from deep.

He is a great crosser but that is a big statement. Koke is better at it imo. He has the most accurate crosses in the last 3 seasons in all of european leagues including champions league.

@prarek

I don't watch much Spanish football anymore. It is either Madrid or Barca smashing some team or A Madrid and their awful style, not my cup of tea anyway.

I haven't watched them play since they played Real in the CL final.

So my comment was inaccurate.

You may also have a chance of performing well away from home again as well.
Thats my major doubt over KDB. You play a bit deeper away from home and he struggles to make the transition.
Im probably talking nonsense but if your form does pick up it shouldnt be overlooked. IMO it wouldn't be a coincidence.

I think Koke is a great crosser but de Bruyne tops him in open play I reckon. Deulofeu is another one who's right up there with anyone around at crossing the ball.

Struggling to think of many others in truth. Marcelo maybe.

I personally think Deolufeu has the best by some distance. His ability to whip them in from any angle at almost any speed whilst dribbling with the hall. Ridiculously consistent too with them.

Leighton Baines had an incredible record 3 seasons ago. I think that was probably the best performance i have seen in the premier league from a fullback as far as putting a ball into the box is concerned. I don't remember the stats but it was something ridiculous. Valencia left back Gaya was also incredible last season.

Just can't agree with that Gol. He is a good crosser but De Brunye is easily ahead of him in that department IMO. Nani was a good crosser actually. It is bad when you are missing Nani.

His crosses are insane and so hard to predict too. He can do it with the ball right under his feet and does it so fast with nor run up or anything.

I agree i think Deolufeu has a great cross in him. Some of the assists to Lukaku have been great to watch.

He'd be my bet for player of the season in 16/17. Have to wonder how close City would be to the title if he'd stayed fit, incredible player.

He's phenomenal. It was so clear last season. Quite crazy how City got him with such little competition.
