225 games? I'm not sure what you mean. There's absolutely no way we've played Everton that many times in 17 years

No of course not  I meant tonight is the 226th derby or something like that, and that timespan of 16 years in which we're undefeated (probably 20 games or so) is the longest undefeated streak at home ever.

Origi is out for 4-6 weeks with ankle ligament damage, so basically his season is over. He might go to the Euro's with Belgium still.

Without knowing the signings that Liverpool and other clubs will make this summer, I'll stick my neck way out and predict that Liverpool will finish in the top 4 next season.

The strange thing is, whenever I've heard Owen commentate he actually comes across more pro-Utd than pro-Liverpool. Maybe that's just him being extra critical of them because he feels closer to them.
If you feel particularly close or connected to a certain club, you don't sign for their arch enemy, it really isn't that hard. He's a complete prick in the eys of most Liverpool fans and I'm really disappointed by his appointment.

I'm surprised he has such little self awareness of the situation, or maybe just so far up his own arse to be beyond criticism. No club he's played for want to claim him as their own

Well, he's an Everton boyhood supporter so...

Its more a case of immense hyperbole re Mario. I was never that keen on his coming to Liverpool based on the fact I didn't really see what all the fuss was about when he was at City. The fact that he was a last minute panic buy suggests that there weren't too many people at Anfield who really rated him either.
He tore us apart in that one game for City. I think Balotelli had/has it all to be a very, very good target 9, like a better Mandzukic or maybe a slightly worse Shearer, but he's obviously had trouble being a productive professional.

Sorry, Balotellinever had the potential to be a'slightly worse Shearer', regardless of how talented he might have been hyped to be.

Shearer was amazing, Ronaldo-esque in terms of goal scoring.

Ballotelli could have been a mix of Berbatov and Drogba.

Instead he is just shit with a touch to die for.

In a world of my own. People know me here.
The people who make the decisions such as employing Michael Owen are emotionally detached when it comes to such things. His treachery is irrelevant if it means him raising the international profile of LFC & the possibility of a few mega sponsorship deals.

This is like Tevez becoming an ambassador for us. Or for City for that matter.

RMC Sport are reporting that Sakho has been temporarily suspended by Liverpool following a drugs test coming back positive. Not sure if it's true or not but we seem to be losing players left right and centre at the minute.

Apparently he took some kind of fat burning drug.

Obertans #1 fan.
Should have all recent results turned around. Absolute joke of a club. Didn't he score against Dortmund?

Suddenly makes sense how Klopp has got them doing well last three or four games

Agree with this - in fact I think they'll challenge for the title, given the emerging trend in the league for unfancied pacy, hard-working teams to barge their way to the top of the league and stay there. Once Klopp gets in his players then I fear they're going to be very difficult to stop - as I've said since it happened, it's an absolute disaster that he manages them

But then it's very difficult to predict next season - other than Wenger getting Arsenal to the top four, then the other top sides could finish anywhere in the top positions. Will Pep's methods be quickly adopted by City and work in the league from the start? Will Chelsea's lack of European games combined with the players not trying to get their manager sacked for half the season (you'd assume...) have them challenging? Can Spurs keep the standards they've set themselves and build on them? Leicester's dream was supposed to have ended months ago - can we be sure they won't carry on next season like they have this? And what the feck will United be doing? Klopp can really tear it up next season :(

nah, Klopp definitely behind this & probably on an industrial scale, began thinking that he'd got on them something when Migs started looking comfortable with the ball at his feet, and Sturridge is fit & playing, all very fishy

Honest mistakes shouldn't happen when it comes to performance enhancing. Intentional or not, his conditioning was improved with a banned substance (if proven).

It should be a minimum six month ban if the decision makers are consistent, so I expect a 10 week ban starting after the last game of the season that only affect domestic matches..

Exactly, if that's the case he should be banned but we don't know the full circumstances yet and making statements about the whole club is a bit knee jerk at this stage.

Can UEFA ban him domestically? Surely they can only ban him from their competitions, leaving Liverpool to decide what to do domestically? That being said, Ferdinand was banned by the FA from playing for United full stop wasn't he? That was only for missing a drugs test as well.

oh well, this is more like it

Moreno & Migs back in the groove & Skrtel should be chomping at the bit with Sakho possibly sidelined for a couple of years.

some suspicion raised that Studge might be a cheating twat, so all in all a much more preferable performance
