My player of the year in the Premier League. Although most plaudits have gone to Vardy and Mahrez he has been the heartbeat of Leicester.

He should be our biggest transfer target this summer. He'd instantly transform United into a team competing for top honours with a few additions.

He's not going to help our lack of creativity. The Leicester player that would help transform us is Mahrez.

He's a great warrior. I wonder what his price tag would be. I think somewhere in the region of 20-25m euro should be our limit.

We definitely need an upgrade on the right wing. However, with Carrick and Bastian lacking speed and energy in the twilight of their careers he would be an ideal replacement. Creativity should come from players around him.

We do have Morgan who plays a similar role, but he's been a disappointment. Maybe it's LvG, I'm not sure.

Has there been any rumors, or is this just wishful thinking?
I'm sure there will be a lot of admirers for his services in the summer. He's under contract and all will depend on Leicester owners ambitions and obviously Kante wanting a bigger stage to perform whilst his stock is high.

We just signed Schneiderlin who is a similar player.

Do you think a midfield of Kante and Schneiderlin could work? Or we should aim a deep lying playmaker like Kroos?

It'd work if we played how Leicester do, but we don't have the personnel for that, and just wouldn't play like that anyway.

Mcnair......... Jones...Carrick...fonsu mensah
Schweinstiger...Kante...Schneiderlin...blind
...............................Fellaini.........................
...............................Rooney........................
I could see lvg going for that... He does seem to like the odd player who can play dm

He would the first name is place alongside fellaini

Soon as Jose gets to train Morgan we will be fine.

We have the most cleansheets and the second best defence in terms of goals against. A DM isnt going to tranform us, we need an attack transformation.

Leicester are never gonna sell both Mahrez and Kante - realistically they might let one go. Regardless of who Leicester decides to sell - we should do everything to sign that player

I'd imagine Ranieri has a lot of respect from the owners at this point and he made it clear yesterday that if anyone doesn't want to be there any more he won't stand in their way. I believe him too. Leicester's success is predicated on an incredible sense of togetherness more than anything else. The individuals (Mahrez, Kante, Vardy) have played a big role but their success is built on the team's cohesion. That was seen when Mahrez went missing or Vardy for suspended. I tend to agree that Kante's been the one driving them forward and his loss could be huge, but I think Ranieri wants to protect that cohesion more than anything else.

I actually did not know that. That's quite impressive. I knew about the second stat though.

Kante is a massively effective player. Makelele reincarnated - he's truly bossing that DMF role.
But we need progression in our attacking style. Kante probably won't do that. Sanches' style is what we need - someone who will drive us forward from midfield. Whether or not we get Sanches is a different matter, but that's the type we need. If not, a deep-lying playmaker in the mould of Kroos would do us wonders.

Really disagree. I don't even think that he is much better (if any than Schneiderlin). Sure, he had a brilliant year in a season when everything went right for Leicester, while Schneiderlin is struggling like any United player bar De Gea, but I think this has more to do with management rather than with their actual ability.

I would be very surprised if Kante plays anywhere as good as he did this season if he was playing for us under LVG. And I would be even more surprised if Schneiderlin doesn't become a top player if he plays under Mourinho.

I think that our team needs first and foremost a striker, a right winger and a creative central midfielder before we look for DMF.

You might be right about Schneiderlin but the idea that Kante is only useful for defensive solidity is silly. He injects so much dynamism and purpose into their team.

I actually kinda hope they all stay, even if that means none of them coming to us. Would be a shame to see this Leicester team broken up just yet.

Also don't think Kante would necessarily improve us that much at the minute. Schneiderlin has it in him to be the player if not more that Kante is. If Mourinho does come in, I could see Schneiderlin being an absolute star as Matic was a couple of seasons ago.

I agree, but I doubt Mahrez and Kante will be banging on the door wanting to leave - with the prospect of C.L. So most likely they won't be impossible to persuade to stay - unless Leicester feel that £40 million or whatever is Worth more than Mahrez or Kante.

It might just be me but I don't rate him even nearly as highly as many do on here. He's obviously a very good player, but he's not someone I'd want us to have.

Do we really need him, our midfield is more so void of creativity than a defensive shield. We've Carrick, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and TFM all of whom can play there. Personally I really want to see TFM play the #6 role.

My personal favorite this year. Brilliant player. We should definitely get him. Carrick isn't getting any younger and Schweinsteiger is injury-prone.

We also seem quite likely to be signing Sanches who has many of the same qualities as Kante.

Would love him in our squad, not sure where that would leave Schneiderlin but I love Kante's work rate.

We wouldn't be in for Kante and Sanches though, surely? With all the word around the latter, I doubt we're in for Kante at all.

Leicester have been linked with Tolisso from Lyon. Could be his replacement.

Sanches is more AM in the mold of Herrera. If we get him, its more as a long term solution for the left AM position in a 4-1-4-1 that Fellaini and Rooney have been playing in.

You genuinely think that 25 million Euros would get a player that has had a season like Kante?

Kante is honestly the last type of player we should be looking at

I'd love it if we picked him up

Even though we have a great defensive record it's based on not committing players to attack. Also at times it looked like you could drive a bus through our midfield

Kante would control the middle and allow others to go and play.

Imagine kante, in front of kroos with Sanches just in front in a middle 3.

Well, now that Sanches isn't happening, we should be all over Kante.

Could see him at Arsenal with Xhaka.

I heard Wenger will focus on a new midfield this summer. Ideally a striker too, but it wasn't first priority.

Ozil
Xhaka Kante

Pretty neat if you ask me.

I don't think he will get rid of Ramsey as a starter. Or Wilshere if he can get fit. He's too stubborn.

Ramsey has been one of their worst players this season afaik. Wilshere can never be relied upon.

I think Wenger knows that he can't put trust in these players anymore, same with Oxlade, Theo and Gibbs.

Arteta and Flamini will most likely leave too.

Would immediately be the best midfield in the league.
