And yet your opinion is still in the minority even on this site, so what does that say about you ? Your manager and nowhere was it given as an 'undeniable truth' (resorting to total fabrication now are we) it was just a response in kind to your pathetic 'ask Spurs'. Finally I am not the one that lashed out with a childish, abhorrent, wumming statement as a deliberate provocation, typical of people that know there is no longer any defence of their argument. Grow up.
"how many teams . blah blah", "What an idiotic post. You are better than that. Or maybe you're not." and yet you're accusing me of being childish? Dont act offended when you happily offer up idiotic comments yourself and you receive one in return. You seem to have a very warped interpretation of how this little conversation went. Instead of crying about it why not discuss it like an adult?

Why Arsenal 1st? Last season, even though they finished below Arsenal, both City and Chelsea had stronger squads on paper. This season United, City and Chelsea will improve massiveley and Arsenal should be expected to do what they do every year, make one big signing before Wenger loses his cheque book.

"Will improve massively"? Well, they might, but it's far from guaranteed, not least because all of these teams have a new playing style to try and instil in their squads and will also have a significant number of new players to try and integrate. And two of these teams have a manager with no prior Prem experience.

Arsenal, in contrast have a settled squad and manager, and almost certainly no Leicester miracle to beat them to the title.

Because matches are played on the pitch not on paper.

All three also are completely changing systems and shifting around starting XIs a lot. You have no idea if all three will improve massively. Everyone thought Chelsea would walk the league last year and your cuirrent manager imploded that team almost to relegation so don't make assumptions before they happen. I'm not convinced your lot will be any better than last year based on Mou's dreadful performance last year - worse than any season ever by any of the other top managers.

While I don't fancy us winning the league this year, if Wenger actual bought two more quality players (St, CB) then I wouldn't say we have any less chance than the other three. Of course thats a big if.

The End?
Of course the following list could change as the clubs complete their transfers, but as of now, I'd say:
1. United
2. Arsenal
3. City
4. Chelsea
5. Tottenham
6. West Ham

A settled squad and manager is something they have had for quite a long time and it hasn't made the difference.

United will win of course, with Zlatan being voted PFA Player of the Year.

Tough choice, but I voted for Chelsea to win it.

Hiddink brought them some stability and Conte is a more than decent manager who I believe can make quite an impact on Chelsea. Call me insane but I believe that is not incredibly important to know the league if you want to win it. Surely, it is not easy to adapt, especially due to the lack of a winter break he will have to be more careful with the fitness of his squad. But your overall abilities as a manager are a lot more important than this experience. Their squad isn't the best, but to me the signings of Batsuyahi and Kante are a step in the right direction, relatively young players who can immediately make an impact and especially the latter is a blessing for their defense. So in my opinion they've got a good manager and a decent squad. That is not enough to win the league, but I don't see anyone else showing off a dominant performance in the next season and the factor which I deem essential for a possible Chelsea win is that they don't have to play internationally whereas their close competitors have to. This will imo give them the edge in what I predict will be a prettyclose race.

On second place I'd put United. There is little to no doubt about Mourinho's qualities as a manager. But I am curious how his relationship with the team is going to be, at Chelsea he is supposed to have clashed with some players if I remember correctly. The squad is not the best as well, but Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan should make the United offense as dangerous as they are ought to be. Should Pogba come he'd be a major improvement compared to the current cm's, especially when compared to Fellaini. I am a bit sceptical regarding the defense, while De Gea is the best keeper in the league in my opinion, I have some doubts regarding the rest of the defense. Neither Blind nor Rojo are imo capable of world class performances which at least sometimes should be expected and Shaw has to recover from an ugly injury which stopped his development. Not to curb your enthuisiasm but I wouldn't expect him to continue on the same level. Must admit that I've never seen Bailly play a match so I will not judge him before I could watch him play.

Third place is going to the Spurs. Since Pocchetino is the only manager in my top four who actually kept his job there is little use in describing him or his team. Good coach, young and talented players, but not the stamina or experience necessary to win this year, even though I expect them to come pretty close. Wanyama is a good signing but apart from him Tottenham would need more players on his level to compensate for the investments of their competitors. Personally I hope that they won't be buying too many new players and instead keep giving young players the chance to show what they can do. Interesting will be how the young English talents will fare after the disappointing euros.

Fourth place will go to Guardiola's City. Guardiola is an extremely succesful manager and I believe that City including the new signings have the overall best squad. So this should easily go to them right? Well, no. My expectations for Guardiola are lower than they are for let's say Conte. I am not trying to play his success down and I acknowledge that he is among those who made Barcelona what they were/still are. But to work for the club you played for is a different situation from taking over a foreign club you have no connection to. In Munich he took over a team who just won the CL, dominated their league and had the right quality chemistry to beat most opponents with minimal input from the manager. I don't see any of these things in City, players who guaranteed their success over the last couple years(Toure, Kompany, Silva) are getting older and I doubt that they can properly replace them. Gündogan and Nolito are fairly good players, but I believe the team won't perform better than the sum of its parts.

Fifth place-Leicester. I will admit this is an odd one, but then again they really are an odd team. I can understand why a lot of people won't include them in their top six, but while I don't belive that they will repeat their success or will seriously compete for the title once again, but even without one or two key players they have a well oiled team and Musa is imo a great signing. Solid defense and luck up front will award them with the fith place.

On place six: Arsenal/Liverpool
I can't decide who I am supposed to put first. Arsenal are Arsenal and Liverpool are Liverpool. Is that enough? Liverpool's squad was made by 10 different people with 12 different philosophies while Wenger forgot the part in his philosohy which leads to him actually winning stuff.

At least that's what a european who never got a prediction right believes

I actually think Tottenham are going to do surprisingly well next season. And I think 1-5 is going to be extremely close with no more than 10, maybe 12 points between them, tops, which makes it extremely difficult to predict, IMO.

I think Chelsea or MCFC will win it.
For this upcoming season, CFC and MCFC both have great squads already and with 1-2 extra players (in each team), they will have the best squads in the league by far.

Jose will win the title in his 2nd season (he does this everywhere he goes) and I just don't see MUFC winning the title with Rooney as our first choice attacker (this season).
Next season, we will be stronger and definitely be favourites to win the title.

I believe Arsenal might not screw it up this time. I also don't see Pep's City finishing outside of the Top 2. United, even with Mourinho, still has a lot of work to do to properly challenge for the title. I also believe in a good season for Spurs.

The first of these no doubt many circus side-shows - distracting and disruptive - will come when Rooney gets dropped. Cue a Rooney-led campaign of media leaks and whispers about how terrible things are inside the squad under Mourinho.

I think a lot of people suspect this might happen with Rooney.
Nevertheless, we'll still finish above Spurs:p

There will be a surprise package, every season there is one. I think it'll be Everton.

Koeman in his first season oversaw a mass exodus at Southampton and yet until late December they're in top4, if I remember rightly. They then had few injuries and fell off the pace in the top4 race. Last season, again they lost several key players and started off poorly but in the second half of the season (19 games), they're the 2nd best team, behind only league winners Leicester. He's a ST in Lukaku who despite some obvious basic flaws in his game does score a lot and is clearly an upgrade on Pelle. He's Mirallas who when motivated can be a very good attacker, Barkley who although lost his from towards the end of the season still had his best ever season, Deulofeu, Coleman etc. Clearly, he'll be working with a better core albeit short of confidence than he'd at Southampton.

It's very hard to predict who'd drop out of the top 6, so I'll go with 7;

1. United (can't help being biased)
2. Arsenal
3. Chelsea
4. City
5. Spurs/Liverpool/Everton
6. Spurs/Liverpool/Everton

Impossible to predict without knowing the extent of transfers. Bit surprised by the number of people putting Liverpool above spurs though. Spurs have finished above Liverpool for 7 of the last 8 years. The only exception was the "Suarez" year.

That so called great squad finished above us on goal difference. Their CM is still a joke. Yaya will still be there and Gundogan is injured. They going to waste £50m on Stones. Their fullbacks are all old.

They have a lot of work to do.

No less a joke then you saying a Frankenstein squad built by 4 different managers and whose current manager got fIred after having a worse season than Wenger ever had has any chance of winning.

If the injuries lessen at Arsenal compared to the last three seasons we should win the league and challenge in Europe also.

Football fans enjoy labeling Arsenal as bottlers but forget the sheer number of injuries to key players that've kept them out of the team for sustained periods of campaigns.

I like your optimism for the new season but we both know that won't happen. Even if Arsenal are 15 points ahead at Christmas, they would blow it by spring. It's not really a question of ability, it's more mental strength. When the pressure is on it goes horribly wrong. Look at the team we beat Arsenal with at Old Trafford last season. What big injuries did youse have, especially compared to us that day. When it matters Arsenal implode, the fans were fighting amongst themselves in the stands by the end of last year. The club are not unified, there is no belief in the manager or the transfer window.

It's the same old story, Arsenal might have finished second last year but it doesn't reflect how it was. Arsenal didn't compete for the league last season, they sneaked past Spurs on the last day. They were closer to a battle to stay in the top 4 in the last five weeks, never mind winning the league. They had such a good opportunity last year. Chelsea were poor, United were bad, City were crap. You know it's going to be so much tougher next year.
