according to wiki, 108 games in 5 years. I don't get why we got rid of Nani for young.
26 apps in his in-form season for LVG 2 years ago. Absolutely idea why he fell behind Lingard when he returned to fitness but there we are. For back up purposes, I think we're fine with him (18 apps last year).

Not a tweet but on BBC Gossip page.

Manchester United are considering a move for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen, 26, but the Wales international is a top target for Francesco Guidolin's Swansea City. (South Wales Evening Post)

Have no idea of the bad blood between Napoli and Juve but this seems to making a lot of waves in Italy.

*EDIT* some quick googling later and Im up to speed on the rivalry.

If they sign Higuain surely that leads to Pogba to us
Logically you would think so, they will be paying 98m for his release clause then wages on top, even for a club like Juventus that is an absurd amount of money. I think they are worth something like 350m as a club so to spend a third of their worth is crazy unless of course they are getting a cash windfall.

I know people are saying they can afford him and keep Pogba, but Im sorry, no they cant. If Madrid cant afford Pogba with a higher turnover than US then not a chance in hell Juve are spending that money without recouping costs and Im not talking about 20 odd million on some of their cast offs. Remember they have already signed some huge players this window. Once this is confirmed, tonight hopefully, we should see movement on Pog.

Didn't want to post transfer speculation in his performances thread and there's no tweet, but Schweinsteiger is being heavily linked with a loan move to Besiktas in the Turkish press.

He would crazy to even contemplate a move to Turkey in the current political climate. He is married now, I'm sure Mrs. Schweinsteiger would be calling the shots now :D
I guess she would prefer a move to "The land of the free and the home of the brave" instead.

Basically saying Napoli want the full release clause. No players+cash deal.
First round over. Over to Juventus to decide what they want to do .

She is a sports player in her own right. She won't be staying at home cooking and ironing.

Yep, from Di Marzio....

First face to face discussion about Higuain’s future. Today in the league’s official headquarters, Juventus and Napoli discussed the Argentinian striker, who is wanted by Juventus: there’s already been a contact between the two clubs, with Marotta and Paratici who have officially requested Higuain for the first time.

Napoli was very direct with their response; no will to negotiate, no players can be added in the deal; for Higuain to leave, Juventus will have to pay the entire release clause. Juventus will now have to decide how to move forward: they will evaluate the situation in the next few hours. First approach has been made, Higuain’s future is still in limbo.

Yeah, that's the reason why a move to US of A works perfect for both of them. More than half of the year these tennis players train/compete in America.

Come on Juve, just sell Pogba to us and sign Higuain. It'd be great for all parties involved

I really don't get what the holdup is?? If Pogba's dithering I would just move on cause it only means he's going to be off to Madrid in 2 years time for half the price. It surely can't be about the money so if Juve are playing hardball he should just tell them he wants to leave......if that's what he really wants.

I'm beginning to wonder now.

Juve probably checking to see if they can reach agreement with Napoli IF they have the correct funds. Makes sense. I'm sure Pogba could leave shortly after they announce an agreement to buy Higuain. The Higuain to Juve may be the one that sets everything in motion.

What battle? If Bayern want him, it´s over. I never felt like Sane wanted City. Schalke wanted to cash an extra 10-15M Euros this summer, before Bayern would inevitably get him on the release clause next summer.

£50m on Stones, £50m on Bonucci, £50m on Bellerin. Easy. I await the link to Alaba now for £70m.

Be great to see the meltdown from Arsenal fans if you got him to be honest, he'd be a big loss for them too.
