Naughty Ashley.
Nope.
We are just getting into the habit of wanting to fight for wins, rather than rolling over and then clapping the opposition after they have spanked us.
Even Mourinho himself was getting involved.

Good to see Jose bringing agression and bite to the United team. Coleman shat himself when Young shoved him.

 Rooney subbed off in his own testimonial without scoring or anything

So if it's still level by the 80th minute will Everton gift Rooney a pity goal?
Probably let Kai take a penalty, he's on the united bench. TBF his peno conversion rate can't be much worse than his dad's.

It is pretty amaze-balls that a team like Manchester United field players like Rojo, Young and Jones. Just shows how we've let things slide the last few years.

Does Rooney have no friends? Isn't testimonial teams usually filled with testemonee's friends and such instead of just fielding his current team's squad? This is just United v Everton, where probably more than half of those players don't give a feck about the occasion.
We have had too little preparation for such.

So its an actual game for both of us.

Wasn't it known that he will have his testimonial like a year ago? I know the fact that he would play v Everton came relatively late, but surely, he could've arranged his own team with the time he had.

By subbing off Wayne Rooney in the 52nd minute of his testimonial. That's a big statement.
It's not really. Our build up has been disrupted and we needed the game to get players fit. At the end of the day getting the team ready for the season is the most important thing.

This has been a fitting testimonial for Wayne's past few seasons. Boring and uneventful.
