Wasn't it known that he will have his testimonial like a year ago? I know the fact that he would play v Everton came relatively late, but surely, he could've arranged his own team with the time he had.
The testimonial was announced sometime midseason. He has been eligible for one for almost two years now.

The City game cancellation means we are undercooked and our first game is Sunday.

Young needs to start his runs sooner.

It is pretty amaze-balls that a team like Manchester United field players like Rojo, Young and Jones. Just shows how we've let things slide the last few years.
We've won Champions Leagues with players like Ronny Johnson, Blomqvist, O'Shea and Anderson. Players who pretty much did nothing before they joined us or after they left. Same goes for plenty of Champions League winners of the past. The names Luiz Gustavo, Dante, Eric Abidal and Casemiro come to mind. Stop acting as though a team need 22 world established names to compete.

That he wants to win?

You seriously think it was some sort of statement on his place in United?
Yeah, I have a suspicion Rooney will leave the club while Mourinho is in charge. I can see him being phased out this year and sold next summer.

Jose leaving Mata on the bank once more. Let's see how many minutes he will get

Edit: he's also coming on

Everyone's first touch today seems rusty, glad we have the game on sunday. Would like some more long balls while we have them in our half, can't see many other ways of breaking them down.

So, it seems Rashford went to #9 and Ibrahimović dropped to Rooney's position, #10, right?

That scenario could happen, but I seriously doubt this substitution has anything else to do with but with actual team management from Jose.

Think I rather like Rashford on the right to be fair. Can't use that much of his pace through middle unless we're dropping deep imo.

Yeah, me too! And Mkhitaryan apparently would be much more effective through the middle also.

Martials face there during Zlatan-cam

He genuinely looks totally unimpressed with life in it's entirety.

You NEED runners with Ibra. Both he & Wayne just drop too much into midfield to get on the ball. At PSG he had Cavani, Matuidi, Di Maria, the fullbacks etc. Others are not making enough runs for him here. Young is playing on the last defender's shoulder practically

You're probably right, I was just surprised he subbed him off so quickly into the 2nd half.
