Music Anderson .Paak

What does that mean?

Not a lot of people know about his music, particularly Malibu. I feel like I'm one of the few people in Sydney that have heard his music.

He'll be performing at a festival called Listen Out in Melbourne next month if you're still in Australia.

Fuuuuuck I'm in NZ til November and then going back to Aus.

Looking forward to the NxWorries album. The two tracks released from it so far are great and seems he can do no wrong at the minute, Glowed Up with Kaytranada was brilliant too. Also just appeared on Ellen's show, nearly 3 years to the day of tweeting that he'd one day be on it. Did a bit more reading about him and found out he was homeless at one point too so chuffed for him, such a talented artist.

I don't remember being so hyped by a new artist since Kendrick came about. Malibu is also probably one of my favourite albums of all time, let alone this year.

Can't wait as well. Everything this man touches has turned to gold so far.

Lyk Dis is awesome.

Anyone given this NxWorries album a listen? I love it, probably prefer it to Malibu which is high praise.

One of my favourite songs from it:

I'm not listening to preview/leak tracks, I like listening to an album as a whole piece of work.

Says released Oct 21st on Wiki, unless it got leaked?

Very good album, but not quite as good as Malibu in my opinion. It probably still makes my top 5 of the year, though.

I'm not feeling it, or at least nowhere near the level of Malibu. It's not bad, it's just not gripped me on first listen.

Took me a while to get into Link Up & Suede so this might be similar.

Also I doubt anything will top Malibu this year.

Yeah I thought I was the only one having this feeling, I've listened to it twice or three times now and I honestly can't remember either any production nor some verses.

I actually think I don't like the producer.

It's on spotify now.

I'm loving it and I'm with Kalou in preferring it over Malibu. I enjoy Knxwledge's laid back beats way more, but then I'm more of a Knxwledge fan than a Paak one.

Can't Stop sounds like Daft Punk followed by Morty from Rick & Morty.

The album is great, maybe a tad too long with the odd filler track but there's some great songs on there.

Paak's bit on H.A.N makes me chuckle.

What a coincidence, I was considering just bumping this thread because I listened to Malibu again this morning and it's dope, and feck it.

He's brilliant live.

My Mrs had tickets to Bruno Mars the other month which I passed on so she could go with a mate, only to find out when she got back that Paak was supporting. Gutted.
