I wonder what Van Zandt did to .Rossi?
Something bad it would seem.

He's like Smeagol following Springsteen around the stage. I don't like his guitar playing, his music, the way he puts himself across. To me, it's like he thinks it's Bruce Springsteen AND Steve Van Zandt + E Street Band.I wonder what Van Zandt did to .Rossi?

Now there is a phrase I though I'd never hear.
In fairness to Stevie, he's been playing in bands with Bruce since before the E-Street Band was formed so it's natural for him to be the leader of the rest of the pack so to say. He's like Smeagol following Springsteen around the stage. Btw, I saw Simon and Garfunkal back in 2004. Very very good if not surreal
Nothing wrong with a bit of Simon and Garfunkle but I've never heard anyone like them that much. That's all.Btw, I saw Simon and Garfunkal back in 2004. Very very good if not surreal
Stubhub. Expensive but guaranteed and backed by the company. I'd be wary of buying a ticket outside the venue. Bound to be lots of fakes bouncing around. And feck scalpers.I'm struggling to score a ticket for Oakland. What are reputable sites for getting a ticket? anyone ever had any joy just turning up and buying a ticket outside the venue/
You'd be surprised my friend....It's amazing what a bit of clever marketing can do to peopleNothing wrong with a bit of Simon and Garfunkle but I've never heard anyone like them that much. That's all.
50 year career, millions of records sold, rare performances, countless sold out concerts, 2 shows attended by more than half a million people, and you're surprised you may find someone who really likes them? Now there is a phrase I though I'd never hear.
Pretty much - yes. As I said, there is nothing wrong with a bit of Simon and Garfunkle, I like them and Graceland wasn't bad, but I've never heard anyone like them that much. They strike me as being a bit like Fleetwood Mac, good quality easy listening that lots of people like, but I've never met a Fleetwood Mac fanatic.50 year career, millions of records sold, rare performances, countless sold out concerts, 2 shows attended by more than half a million people, and you're surprised you may find someone who really likes them?
I think that might be what I was getting at. My folk liked them as well. Right up there with James Last ITO.Paul Simon has been probably my mum's favourite artist for most of her life

Not tryng say that Simon and Garfunkle are terrible like James Last, just that they are the sort of music parents of my folks era (middle aged when S&G were in their prime) loved. I might even go to see them if they ever play near me.
Because the Night..a song he never recorded was for me the highlight. very uplifting. I was not in the pit this time but the music was not as 'loud' and a lot more enjoyable. He sure can. I went expecting to have a pleasant evening and had a far better time than that.
you remember the Patti Smith version right?Great song - I always forget that he wrote it.
They wrote it together I think. The Patti Smith version came out when I was about 14 and it was one of those songs that everyone seemed to love.you remember the Patti Smith version right?
yeah. love that one too. But Springsteen's version is definitive.
no worries man.I love it too. yeah. they did write it together. He sand it when we saw him a coume of years ago BTW. Bloody brilliant.
Although I still love the Patti Smith version more. Sorry.
I'm going, couldn't get a ticket when they went on sale so had to fork out £45 in fees to Viagogo, will be my third time seeing the boss.Anyone going to Wembley this weekend? Excitement is building now.
Just had a look and that is a hell of a setlist (Johnny99 ), seems he's changed things up from the US leg where they played the whole album in full.Saw him at Hampden on Wednesday night. Probably the best I've seen him. Was an excellent setlist.
Nobody puts on a show like the boss does. No idea how he does it either. Puts every other artist to shame.
Damn, the tickets alone weren't cheap. At least when you see the Boss you're guaranteed a great show. From what someone told me because it's a Sunday he's going to be on early, I'm guessing they don't want a repeat of Hyde Park a few years back.I'm going, couldn't get a ticket when they went on sale so had to fork out £45 in fees to Viagogo, will be my third time seeing the boss.
6pm apparently, so probably 6.15 and over by 9.30Just had a look and that is a hell of a setlist (Johnny99 ), seems he's changed things up from the US leg where they played the whole album in full.

I think they changed it up from the American leg because in Europe it's mostly stadiums they're playing and there's too many ballads on the album for a stadium show compared to an arena. They're going back to America after Europe and doing mostly stadium shows.Just had a look and that is a hell of a setlist (Johnny99 ), seems he's changed things up from the US leg where they played the whole album in full.

I just bought two tix for East Rutherford, NJ on August 30. Gutted I missed him in CA so feck it, I'm gonna watch him in his home state. The wife will shit when she finds out but life is for living.
Wish I can travel like you do Grin.Exactly, I'm not missing him just in case. Shit, I might even get tix for another east coast venue too and make it a Bossman's holiday.
You're closer than me! Can't be much to hop on a flight, do an Air BnB and be back home before she notices.
Bruce will go on forever, forever young. My Mums ex-partner runs tours to his shows all over the world, they've run into him a few times and always say he's a genuinely nice guy too. He even recognised some of their faces after only meeting them once or twice before. I have so much time for Bruce.Night three...four hour gig...amazing setlist...fireworks...simply stunning. The man is 67 so I don't know how much longer he can go on but I'm waiting for the next tour and doing it all over again.
