Good. Pardon the language, but when you play like mongrels on the pitch, you deserve nothing less.

I read that Shaw's seeing a psychologist to help him deal with the pressures of playing for a club like United. Surely if that's true then it speaks volumes about his mental fragility and raises questions about how sensible a signing he was?
Perhaps it also shows that he is willing to succeed and is doing whatever he can to do so?

We had changed 3 managers in 4 years. There's something wrong in the club and that is not the manager.
This. Given that our commercial strength is growing it is unlikely to be Woodward's side that is the problem as well.

Hope it's Rooney.

He's sh*t and needs to go. Pathetic he's still in the starting XI. Makes me want to cry.

I really don't understand this culture of leaking. Why are journalists allowed to write speculative stuff so openly?

I am sure managers use the media for their own concerns as well. Unsettle a player, deflect criticism etc.

Can't believe leaks are still happening and its a bitching and moaning. I've criticized Mourinho's tactics and selection but this doesnt warrant the bitching from the players to the media. Seems like we have a bunch of pussies in our squad.

Because people like to read them which in turn pays their (journalist's) salaries? Freedom of press, demand and supply and stuff like that, you know.

This is all very worrying. Especially 5 games into the fecking season. If we can't flush the culprit/culprits out of the club, have them play with the kids in the reserves until we can. Keep them the hell away from our first team.

Who says they are bitching? James Ducker? It could just be speculation about that part, results not good, so players can't be happy. The bit about Luke was not that bad.

At some point, somewhere down the line, the blame has to rest with these overpaid underperforming millionaire prima donnas that call themselves professional footballers.

Are you attacking our free press? You Stalinist.
 No, but I wouldn't want the media to write about me if it's speculative information. If it's factual information, go ahead I guess, even though I still feel privacy should be respected.

Though at the end of the day we can blame then all we want, our squad is still our squad, this is the group of players we have, the group of players we need to find a way to motivate and get winning games.

I believe Mourinho can do it anyway. Its early days. This is the guy Ibra said made him feel like a lion. He'll get through to them in the end.

Don't know who to criticize more, the players or the manager. Players deserve a lot of the criticism for their on field display, but the manager should know better than to publicly slaughter his own players. He will never get the backing or loyalty of his players doing stuff like that. He should have learnt a lesson from his Chelsea squad who went from a title winning team to fighting relegation just to get rid of him. Maybe choosing the right players and coaching them on how to play a decent attacking game would go a long way to achieving the team's goal.

BFS never played for Fergie. He's not in a position to compare how different Jose's criticisms are from Sir Alex's.
But he could repeat what others say. Things aren't always simple in the world of journalist sources

I see Scholes as the media conduit of the SAF generation. He was banging on about Carrick on Sunday. Obviously an unhappy man. I doubt Rooney would know yet of he were being dropped on Sunday, but he could be retaliating to briefing. There's also BFS, who would be in the know.

Anyway all three should be gotten rid of. Big squad, aging egos, Jose's public bullying streak - it's not a good mix.
BFS isn't part of the squad anymore, not in the dressing room, doesn't train with the team etc.

Some playrs just aren't cut out for this club and based on the last few years I'd say it's the majority of them. No one can say we don't have a good enough manager now. If we fail this year all the player fanboys have to accept that our players aren't good enough and the blame should lie with them and not the manager.

Harsh critics are necessary at this point. These 'senior players' have been whining a lot these last 3 years without ever reaching top teams level of performance and consistency. Too convenient.

Defenitely donot think Carrick was behind this leak. Especially since Mourihno is the reason he is still around. At 35, I don't think Carrick would be miffed with his diminished role, which he would have been told of before renewal.
Yes. For me it's clear too. He was out, Mourinho renewed with him. Why would he stab him in the back?

Rooney it is, for me. He's way below average, and is the big figure at United.

Seeing our midfield today, I would trade Rooney for Bastian in a heart beat.

Reminds me of when the players were complaining that LVG was showing them videos of their mistakes.
Modern footballers are ridiculous. They want every mouth to tell them they're amazing.

When did he "publicly slaughter" any of the players. He's just analysing the game as far as I can see, it seemed fair and with regard to Shaw, he didn't even name him. What happened to the days when players would come back from criticism with a point to prove?

Having read the article there's not any quotes from anyone, not even an "unnamed source said". Besides even if the players did leak this story surely whoever was up to this behaviour would know it make them look unprofessional to be leaking stories to the press about what goes on in the dressing room.

He was blaming Shaw on Sunday. That's not analyzing the game, he was throwing his player under the bus in public.

I'd trade him un half that time. This has a Rooney leak all over it - I just wish he'd be shipped out at this point, his influence off the pitch, and lack of it on the pitch, are real factors holding back the club.

Plot twist, it's Fergie himself who leaked this. Just kidding, it's Rooney(I think).

Oh come on. He only said that Shaw shouldve been closer to the ball. The dramatics over the comments is ridiculous.

Eh, somebody trying to sell papers or increase web traffic. 'One source says...', A disgruntled player? The guy sweeping the floor outside? A writer just making crap up? Big whoop. They all need to get their heads out of their arse and play/manage better.

Throwing under the bus? Are you another softie who shall never be critizided?
Have you ever worked for a living? Has your manager gone and criticized your work to your colleagues or in public? If they have, would you still try and do your best for that manager?

He couldn't have said that to the player in private instead of in public? He knew what he was doing, he was redirecting the blame onto someone else.

Does it matter? Shaw wouldn't and shouldn't be affected by it.

why are so many saying its carrick? why should he do that? i think carrick dont give a shit if he plays week in and out and as he hasnt played this season its hard to believe he gets criticized anyway.

rooney is one of the more obvious ones.
