Problem is that Mourinho has inherited a load of deadwood bought by Moyes & Van Gaal.

    It's going to take time.
Don't make me laugh. LVG left behind Rashford, martial, lingard, Herrera, shaw, blind, a better smalling TFM and others.

Jose bought his own deadwood in a lanky lamp post in Ibrahimovic & our whole game plan is revolved around him. Cross it to him- if he doesn't get it- fellaini gets it-if not him it would be smalling.

This long ball football is even worse than what I saw under LVG - which was boring football without results but at least we were in some sort of control of the match.

Turd. Looking like another season struggling for 4th
4th? I don't think we can finish 4th. Everyone drop points over the weekend. Chelsea is the big winner. I think we can only beat mid and lower table team. I think we will have a hard time besting anyone above us.

DDG very poor at first goal and seing second again, didn't look as if he cares
What's he supposed to do other than make himself big? Team is shit I get it but saying anything about De Gea for the second?

Yeah the most worrying thing is that their players seem to want it so much more than ours.
And this is why we will definitely lose. Their players are all fired up and they have a point to prove to Mourinho, they aren't going to lose this 2 goal lead. Can't see us getting anything unfortunately.

Just seen the Luiz challenge, how was that not a red card? Woeful!
Referees are no longer giving us much and this has been a problem for the last 2 seasons.
IMO, we need to start surrounding refs and intimidating them during games. I don't like this behaviour, but when we get nothing game after game after game, things need to be done.

Jose and United getting what they deserve. Poor tactics having Blind at full back against the pace of Chelsea and then the obvious one, Fellaini, who is fecking shit. We have created a few chances but the game could easily be 7 - 3. Pogba once again being wasted and Smalling his usual bag of nerves, pointing at every pass, just defend yourself and stop trying to orchestrate when you can't do the basics yourself. Doesn't deserve the arm band but Jose making the stupid decisions. All in all we are not good enough, predicted one point from these two games and looking that way. Luiz should be off but with this ref not at all surprised.

To be fair, if you concede after 30 seconds, it's no longer a normal match. But it becomes so f***** normal that we can't fight back.
It's so annoying. As soon as we fall behind do the game is as good as lost.

Mata or Carrick on for Fellaini surely.

Chelsea are happy to sit now, 5 at the back, 2 holding mids, United have the ball for the most part with Chelsea just looking to counter.

No point having Fellaini in there, we've already conceded and he offers nothing when we have the ball.

Swap him out either for Mata to go 10 or Carrick to sit and dictate with Pogba pushed forward

Would also keep Ibra on, Chelsea playing counter with 5 at the back, would expect more threat to come from crosses into Ibra than intricate play if Rashford were upfront.

Bringing on Rashford to try get in behind does nothing, they just drop another 10 yards deeper and Rashford is crowded out completely. At least Ibra is a genuine threat in the air and more combative than Rashford can be.

The joke is Chelsea aren't even that good and were there for taking.

But shit again, just don't see the Zlatan hype at all.

We cofusing to much on the defensive shortcomings in the game. Im concerned with the lack of attack. If Ibra put that header away we would be havinv a different game now.
I think Mata should have started. Hopefully he comes on in the second half.

To be honest, I think only the most optimistic of fans would have predicted a win here.

I was hoping for a draw, but preparing for a loss.

stamford beach is the worse venue for us. Literally lose there every time. In ANY era.

We don't have the Roy Keane characters on our team anymore unfortunately

Pathetic 1st half perfomance.Mourinhos plan destroid in 30seconds.Lets see if he has a plan b.
Blind is our very own con artists, never good enough in these sort of matches.
Fellaini i dont even see the point in.Why start him?

Game is lost so we might as well just bring on Martial and Mata and go for it.

Martial, Mkhi, Mata. Absolutely criminal to not start these players. I like Rashford but at 18 he shouldn't have priority over any of those players, he should be a super sub. The Fellaini experiment should end after today if Mourinho has any intention of getting anything out of this season.

Can someone figure out the formation we're playing? It looks like Fellaini and Pogba push high up the pitch when we have the ball to give Zlatan support and Lingard/Rashford are wingers.

But that then leaves Herrera to marshal the entire midfield ffs.
    It's the so loved 4-3-3!

Had Luiz been sent off it would have given us a great chance to get something from this game. Sick of refs bottling it and basically being unfair to a certain team. Fair play to Souness for saying he bottled it.

Expect Mou to blame everyone else and not take a shred of responsibility at the post match press, better yet me may just skip it altogether.

Mata and Martial on for Fellaini and Ibra, we need to stretch this lot more, the openings are there but we need a bit more speed and guile.
Spot on. Our defensive mistakes are really down to how easy it is to get the ball off our front line. If we play strikers like martial & midfielders like Mata we have much more ability to have control in our front line = less pressure on the back line

.....and if certain people took their blinkers off the other day, they'd see that the same approach almost lost us the game against Liverpool, except for two wondersaves by DDG. All it takes is for our keeper to not perform like a god for once and you have a game like today...

The result against Liverpool was pure flattery. All this talk about us "controlling" the game. What tosh. We just got lucky they didn't score, whereas, today, Chelsea have.

Same script. Isolated man forward, everyone is back in defence. No wonder.

Yes, Felliani has to be replaced. Too slow and lack of confidence with the ball. Stupid lack of awareness from Smalling. He should have attacked the ball instead of leaving it to De Gea.
Putting Valencia at the near post was a mistake. Normally the big center forward should be there. Zlatan should be there instead. Pogba is lost at no.10. Lingard is also not doing anything at right wing. instead Valencia looked like the right winger. Forsu-Mensah should come in at right back and move Valencia up.
Mata for Felliani, move Pogba back to defensive mid-field.

Okay we made our mistake and went a goal down. I thought we responded quite well actually and we crafted a couple of decent chances including a fantastic sitter that Ibra just wasted.

What annoys me though is the fight back just fell apart after 5 minutes and Chelsea then seized control of the game and it's been downhill ever since.

Our players were so focussed on Liverpool and we were performing exhibition tricks at one point. How on earth has the occasion got to US this time? It's baffling
