I am fully supportive of the manager, but I do agree with you.
The pre-game negativity is very similar to what we had before Moyes and LVG games.
Not wrong there! I'll put my hands up and say that I was anti Mourinho before he joined but I'm giving him my support but it's hard to deny the stench of the last 3 seasons that still lingers. If he sets up to do another stifle job tonight, my confidence in him might just take a little bit.

So, Rojo in defense and Romero in goal? This is going to be fun... :nervous:

I am right behind Jose and think it will come right, but my god he has some work to do. There are a few players in our squad who are past their best, not good enough or don't care enough. The latter one will be seriously driving him mad.
Jose doesn't seem to me to be helping matters by marginalising such as Shaw, Martial and Micky Ticky Tavi.

Jose needs to stop being so defensive. We got one point at Liverpool and Chelsea and confidence was destroyed. How about concentrating on our strengths. We are slow and ponderous again, pace is needed. I think we made a mistake signing Zlatan. We needed to buy a quick young forward and rotate with Rashford. I hope tonight he plays martial Rashford and Miki as a front 3. With 3 in midfield, Herrera and Carrick with Pogba. City outplayed us last month but they struggled against pace when we actually decided to attack.

Theyve not been marginalised their form and fitness has just been managed. Cant win with people if he'd have just thrown them in irrespective because of their names then people would say bad management

Where has this boring football talk come from? We smashed Leicester, should have put loads past Stoke and then we set up to stifle Liverpool. We destroyed Fenerbache and then got hammered to Chelsea.

I could understand if it really was like last season where we would be lucky to have more than 4 shots on goal but it really isn't anything like that.

People really need to lighten up and realise it's not all doom and gloom. There are signs (albeit it small) that we're making progress from last season.

    Not sure we will.
Team will be a pick n'mix of kids who nay be overawed and squad guys who will be on their bikes at season's end.
Just a few like Kompany, Sane and Iheanacho will be a problem to you.
You'll win it if you put a strong team out.
I feel we'll see a strong team from both. Pep is on his longest run without a win since he started managing so I think he'd want to end that. Nobody wants to lose a Manchester derby no matter what competition.

Romero and Rojo??? I want to predict a record defeat please!
Romero is actually a very good GK.
Now Rojo - he may surprise us.
Let's be honest, Rojo can't possibly be as bad as Smalling was against CFC. That last goal, when Kante walked towards the goal and Smalling kept backing away, waiting for Kante to score - that was the stuff of nightmares.

It appears that Bailly, Rooney, Jones, Smalling, Fosu-Mensah and Martial won't feature, Pogba, Rashford, Herrera and Valencia all played 90 mins vs Chelsea, as did Ibrahimovic, who has now scored one goal in his last eight games. Rojo-Blind likely to be the CB partnership, not sure our side will be particularly strong tonight.

Which ones do you think dont care enough? There is probably a whole thread dedicated to this - there should be because I see this accusation a lot. But Im interested, who?

I tend to see it more as ineptitude, confusion and/or lack of confidence. But maybe youre right.

De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Bailly, Blind, Herrera, Mata, Rashford and Lingard all look like they care to me. Fellaini too. Ill give Shaw the benefit of the doubt. So among our regular starters, who does that leave? Pogba? Ibra? If it is those two, Mourinho has reason to be doubly pissed off about it seeing as these are his signings.

Agree 100%, though what I've noticed is that against better teams, we are set up to defend.
Against lesser teams, we are setup to attack at all costs and score lots of goals.
With LVG, the plan was always to score few goals and aim for a win, by 1 goal only. The one time we did score freely and kept going throughout the game was against AFC, when we played lots of youngsters, who were not fully indoctrinated into the teachings of LVG.

Well, after the spanking we receieved in our last game, several of our players had big smiles on their faces. They also could not wait to swap shirts and have some cuddles with the CFC players. It was almost as if they were quite appreciative of CFC's quality.
It's the equivalent of someone coming to my house. Robbing me blind. And me catching them in the act, leaving my house with my belongings. And me laughing, joking and even offering them my wallet. It's as if the players didn't particularly care about what had just happened.

Yeah I know that wound people up and I can see why. I didnt actually see it because I turned the telly straight off. But I agree it sends a poor message to supporters. I dont think many players in our squad actually dont care though.

Theyve probably just got too bloody used to losing.

So Shaw who has publically castigated by Jose is not the best LB at United at the moment? Some had him down as the best in Europe recently and I agree that he's a very effective player at his best.
I don't watch 90 mins of all United games. Has he regressed so much?

Rojo is terrible. He'll be our weakest link by far if he plays. I can't remember him doing anything I have ever been impressed by. Ever. Romero is average at best. City will maul us :(

Our form (results) might be a bit better, but our football is much worse.
Well yes and no. Stoke game was good but couldn't just score, against scousers we played for a draw or a 1-0 and it was a solid performance and smashed Fenerbache.
I hope Chelsea was just a one-off but it's true we are a team a bit lost at the moment.

Playing for a 1-0 bit creating one chance in 90 min would be really hopeful wouldnt it?

They did the same with in form pool...

Were going to win this 2-0 Minimum. Mkhitaryan will play and destroy them. Now its up to you to figure out if I am being serious ;)
I predicted a 3-0 win but predicted the XI and subs so that we sub in attacking players for an equaliser. Hmm.

He was excellent in his first few games back, then he got a bit of a niggling injury and his performance level dropped right off.

We've seen this before when players come back from long term injuries. Adrenaline gets them through their initial comeback but takes them a while before they can start performing consistently again.

    Apparently Romero to start.
Now I don't actually mind Romero, but I'd prefer Johnstone to get a go if we're going to rotate - for years we've been hearing that Johnstone has good potential and the club haven't seemed interested in selling him, so surely he needs to get a first team go at some stage before he retires?

But of course I'd play De Gea - very apprehensive about making too many changes for this one.

True. In the post-game presser Mou said something like the Zlatan's missed header woulda been right on to the game plan, nicking a 1-0 win but didn't just go in.
I think that game was a quite well planned and executed.

We tend to overrate our players in here at times. He's never been the best LB in Europe.

But he's a very talented player but I thought he was quite poor again at Fernebache. But that's just one game. He's one of those I'm sure will turn things around.Too talented not too.
