Goal should have stood, but Pogba's overhead kick should have been given offside. It's bad luck the wrong one went in and the other didn't.

I still don't get that decision. Ibra pokes it in and while his foot is high he clearly gets to the ball first. Reminds of the Nani decision. The player has eyes for the ball. You can't rule that a foul IMO.

A Middlesbrough player will score the winner with an overhead kick now, you watch.

We could and should be at least 2-0 up. I hope the players don't let their heads drop, it would be just typical if Boro stole a scruffy goal against the run of play.

Its an insanely bad decision. Valdes fakes an injury and the ref calls it a foul.

    How unlucky are we?

First Pogba hits the post, and then Zlatan unjustly has a goal disallowed.

This is ridiculous. We are by FAR the better team. Martial is playing VERY well.
Pogba was offside when doing the bicycle kick to hit the post. Martial on the other hand hit the post right before Zlatan's disallowed goal.

Playing decent enough. Look a bit disorganised in the midfield, which is expected as we're not playing with a holder today.

Poor decision by the ref. Hope we can get an early goal in the second because M'boro have looked pretty dangerous going forward.

If Ibra falls short of the 2016 goalscoring record now that'll be pretty piss poor.

Bollocks. And that goes for you too. Clean and fair and Ibra got to the ball long before Valdes did. Clearly made a meal of the impact and the ref fecking got it wrong.
It think it was the wrong decision after seeing replays, but I can see why it was disallowed.

    What is the foul there?

If Valdez cought the ball and went into Ibra would it have been a foul? Cos its essebtially the same "foul"

The annoying thing is Jose can't say anything about the decision (considering his reputation). Anything he says will probably result in a ban/fine. I don't think the Boro players appealed. By Mason's 'logic', Adrian would have been sent off for that challenge on Ibra in the Carling Cup game at OT when Ibra scored. Refs are so inconsistent, yet seem to be consistently poor.

A marginal offside call gone wrong can't really be compared to one of the most ridiculous refereeing decisions we've seen this season.

If you blow the whistle for anything but a goal there, it has to be a penalty! Valdes is 10 seconds late and absolutely clatters Zlatan, and he somehow gets a free kick? Ridiculous.

    WHY WAS ZLATAN'S GOAL DISALLOWED?

What was the basis? What was the logic? What rules of the game did he break?

It was NOT dangerous play. It did NO damage at all. Seriously, what Zlatan did was just his skills - who else can do stuff like that???? Why are they discriminating against Zlatan for being technically superior?

It is seriously just ridiculous refereeing, the refs are biased, they are corrupt. There is nothing we can do. We score legitimately and they just won't allow us to benefit. Are the refs being handed brown paper bags by mysterious Russian/Arab operatives in sunglasses and dark suits? Someone should seriously follow the refs and see what they get up to after the games.

What do UTD have to do for the ball to go in?????

I guaranteed you if Fellani was in front of Carrick, it'd be the same.

Carrick is a good player but his passes can only be as good as the receivers. Carrick usually has Herrera in front of him. Herrera has Fellani.

Imo Herrera should be switching with Fellani, who looks lost out there.
It is about the receiver but Herrera hasn't been passing to Fellaini. He's been passing to Pogba or Valencia. Pogba is dropping deeper on Herrera's left side to force things while Fellaini is going and occupying the right corner of penalty area for crosses being sent in by Martial. Let's not blame Fellaini for everything. And that is not to say Fellaini is doing any better. He is doing the same exact thing when it is his turn to drop deep.

No wonder all our attacks are coming from our left hand side. There is an LvG-esque pattern to our play and you can watch and confirm it for yourself in the second half. Herrera picks up the ball from deep, passes to Valencia, who runs a few yards before passing back to Herrera, who now switches sides to Pogba/Blind whoever is on his left side and then they pass it to Martial to try and beat his man. If you watch our games with Carrick in midfield, a lot of times we've have been attacking via the middle and to a very good effect. And that is because Carrick has the eye and technique to thread passes that take out the lines of opposition player.

Hope something happens to Valdes as well, give him a ban, cheating cnut.
It really is unbelievable what a fickle twat he is. Totally milked the situation, didn't have the honesty to say he was beaten by some brilliant athleticism from Ibra. Ok maybe that is asking too much, but was rolling around on the floor for three minutes really necessary?

After all we did getting him back from a career threatening injury.

He deserves to have his career fizzle out playing for a Shanghai pub team. Piss off, cnut.
