Bring him home.

Man i hate LvG for flogging Chicharito due to misplaced faith in Rooney.

Love him! - Should never have left. Would love us to bring him back. Guaranteed goals.

This is the one departure that made the least sense. The perfect player to bring on when in a jam. No way you should actively get rid of a player of his quality and skill set.

He wont come back here to get thrown in from the bench and isnt good enough to start games for us regularly. The whole reason he left was because he didnt want to be a sub.

Would definitely have him back.

There's too many shadow strikers, false 9s etc in football. I like a good old fashioned goalscorer who does nothing fancy but sticks the ball in the net

You're wrong. LVG told him he would get no game time AT ALL... That's why he left. It was bizarre.

Chicharito is my second favourite United player of all time after Ronaldo. I'd be just delighted to see him back.

If he's okay with not being a consistent starter, then I wouldn't mind.

While I love Chicharito, there's no point in resigning a 29 year old who clearly wants to be the main man.

I can't see him accepting a bench role all over again.

Not even close to being good enough, in games you're not dominating he is worse then useless, poor hold up play, average 1st touch, poor mans Inzaghi, 59 in 157 says everything you need to know, and that's for a goal hanger

He didn't start 157 games. Look at his goals per minute ratio. Its one of the best in history...

:D If he's Okay with a sub role than why not , a welcome move it would be .

4th best out of any PL player with 50+ games (Aguero, Henry, RVN, Hernandez, Costa)

One goal every 130 minutes.

Considering that 86 of them were starts, that's a pretty amazing return.

Would love to have him back. Good player and great professional. Buying him and someone like Belotti would be amazing.

Is this wanting Zlatan to leave, then?

I want to know where these 20 goals would be coming from when Jose has sparingly thrown on another central forward this season. Can only think of a couple games where he started Zlatan a bit more withdrawn with a forward ahead of him or partnering centrally. Most of the late attempts at throwing on attackers to get a goal where from wide areas. Could be that he thinks Martial, Rashford and Rooney are shit up front but Chicharito wouldn't be getting no 20 goals playing on the wing.

Hernandez goal scoring and movement in the box far outweighed his shortcomings in other areas of the game.

We all saw those crosses that flashes across the box to be met by nobody against WBA and Everton. We all know if Chico was still here he'd have got on the end of at least two or three.

Feck it. Bring him back.

I'd take him back. He was a great finisher, would suit our current side.

Stop this sentimental malarkey. Hernandez is not good enough for us.

He's been awful this season for Leverkusen. I love the man but we can't just sign any old player because they're friendly and love the club. Some of you probably want Rafael and Fabio back.

Moyes jerked him round too wrecking his confidence..A proven finisher yet Moyes and Van Gaal didn't see that

Chicharito is already 29? Damn time flies.

What a great player he was, especially in his first season. Absolutely loved him. Seemed to lose his smile, his confidence and his finishing in his last season here though. Unsure how it would work out if we brought him back. Still stupid to sell him.

At this point is he really good enough? 10 Bundesliga goals in 23 appearances, but he had a huge barren spell during the season, totalling 15(!) games:

He's also currently on a 6 game goalless streak.

Thats pretty much it in a nutshell, it would be great if he was still here but I don't think it would be the right move for either party to bring him back again.

Precisely. Where's this revisionism coming from anyway? He was told he had a 1% chance of playing. What the feck else was he supposed to do?

But he loves this club. And don't even get him started on Fergie. The man is a God to Cheech.

He would've stayed here if he could've continued in the Ole role. That's how SAF used him. He was fine with that. He was contributing. Scoring goals. Helping the club. He felt honored to be a part of it.

But being told he pretty much was never going to play is not a super sub role. It's nothing.

LvG all but kicked him out. And humiliated him along the way with that idiotic stare he gave Giggs. As if he'd never seen a missed pen on a shitty pitch before.

Would love him back. He'd be great for us. And I think he'd love to be back too.

Might be telling in terms of the sort of striker set-up Mourinho has in mind, even if it doesn't involve Hernandez. Having signed Zlatan and now referencing Chicharito, it might be a sign that Mou will continue to prefer having a prime goalscorer the rest of the team is built to serve rather than the more fluid, flexible set-up a lot of posters here seem to want.

This is assuming Zlatan decides to leave. Hernandez and Griezmann or Hernandez and Bellotti would be fantastic.

But Griezmann and belotti would cost 200 m euros. thats too much, better to develop Martial as a striker and getting a winger

I'd have thought that much was obvious, anyway. Anyone with a hypothetical falso-9/midfield diamond formation was just dreaming or hadn't a clue who Jose Mourinho is.

If we go into next season with Zlatan and Chicharito as our two strikers then we are destined for failure.

I don't want to sign him but if it meant getting Griezmann or any other top top striker then I guess its not too bad. Hernandez wouldn't start for any of the top 6.

Mourinho has played a diamond before and won.
