If our remaining fixtures were all relegation fodder then it'd make sense. Realistically we need to win every single game we have left, it's not going to happen.

Here's what we do: put out a full strength side against Chelsea. Mhiki gets injured, Zlatan is exhausted, we draw 2-2 against Anderlecht and get knocked out, then finish 5th in the league anyway. Would it be worth it?

I agree but we are united right? and Jose said he would start his best eleven if we had a chance. I think he saw how good Liverpool city and Spurs have been and made his choice. I have no issues as he is the coach. IMO if martial isn't injured he should have started in place of young and lingard can replace big hair in midfield. Maybe today pogba will earn his fee

Martial certainly isn't particularly good BUT, when compared with our attacking trio of Young, Rashford, Lingard, I think he should be able to displace one of these.
The issue is defending - I think all 3 names mentioned above, are better at defenders.

Clearly after city winning yesterday Jose has decided that the top 4 is a slim chance but I think that is wrong as we play city have a game in hand and we have two games in hand vs Liverpool if we win out we're in the top 4. He is the coach so he knows the state of the club better then us.
