Is there a future quality player in there?

Goes past players so easily with his pace and strength, and also does have some skill like when he elastico'd I think Carrick near the middle.

He is a unit and can go past 2 or 3 players easily, but then he makes nothing. His crossing is average, he doesnt seem to pop up in goal scoring positions, isnt clinical enough when it happens, and has no shot on him. Creates chaos and is dangerous, but ultimately not much comes out of it.

Quite easy to make him run into blind alleys as well. He looks good on the eye skipping past 2-3 players but he basically runs to the corner, tries a cross, messes it up or at best gets a corner.

There is definitely potential there though, he just needs to pick his moments better and improve his end product. He's quite brainless but as a raw athlete he's one of the best, and his dribbling is actually quite good as well.

He plays like its a FIFA game. All he wants to do is dribble past players and run fast...

To be fair under a decent manager I think he could step up a level or 2.

He has the attributes but doesn't have the football brain.

Another player who simply doesn't have the offensive IQ to be a good winger/forward. He should be a wing back a la Moses.

At least Moses works hard defensively. This guy just jogging about when it comes to defensively duty

He was linked to Chelsea in January and it must be principally for that reason. This video emphasises that too.

Wonder how much his lack of end product has to do with playing on one of the worst offensive teams in PL history.

Unbelievable pace but no end product and don't think managers trust him. My friend is a Boro fan and he was telling me Karanka would always play him on the same side of the pitch as the technical area so he could bark instructions at him i.e. he'd switch him for the 2nd half!

Judging by the passes in the compilation that I posted above, the emphasis is still very much on his poor end product.

It's bizarre how shit his decision-making is. Zero footballing IQ.

Think he gets a harsh rap over his end product, he's only recently turned 21 and there's a lot of natural talent there. Would have loved us to get him.

He needs to learn to pass and not keep the ball all the time. He has potential, but really is a total foreign body in that team.

going to post what i posted in the game week thread here because I've just noticed this is a more appropriate thread:

While i'm not saying his decision making cannot be significantly improved, I think Adama isn't completely brainless per say or a hopeless player. When I compare him to the average middle table and lower table bog standard player, I believe most of them could never do or would never get themselves anywhere near the things and situations Adama does and finds a way into and even then majority of the time not lead to any truly useful end product. I just believe it just makes things so much worse and more frustrating because he could be an absolutely ridiculous player if he had the football brain of say Payet.

You'll hear this sort of thing about him for the next 3-4 years. He's hardly the first tricky physical winger who has absolutely nothing going on upstairs whose career will amount to nothing.

I already said virtually the same thing on the first page, lol.
