Is anyone actually reporting this apart from the MEN (who state they are unsure), and some 'ITK' City fan?
city have no ITK. and certainly Tolmie the bullshitter. Their fans have probably watched him twice v them and suddenly think hes world class. Who in their right mind woukd rather sign Silva to Griezmann ?

This doesn't really make sense for either club. Man City have Sterling and Sane and Pep prefers pace on the wings. And Mourinho said he didn't think Silva would be with us next season.

Great news. Who else can't wait for us to sell De Gea, and get a highly-motivated James Rodriguez, one of Europe's best goal-scorers in Morata, Eric Deir and Burnley star Michael Keane?
Calm down.

Difference is that Silva can actually play out on the right. James is a fantastic number 10 but isn't particularly effective out wide. I'd much prefer Griezmann or even Pogba occupying that space through the middle with us signing a top quality left or right winger.
I think James is quite simply the better player. Silva might be a tad more effective out wide but he's not all that either and loves to move inside anyway.

Agreed with the last part. I want us to sign a genuine winger ahead of both.

Any chance Jose was trolling us? He wasn't linked with City until after those comments.
Most plausible scenario: Jose/Woody has been in touch with B. Silva's team for a while and are well aware of City's interest/advantage. His comments could also say "unlikely, but he is welcome if the City deal falls through". Of course Jose isn't trolling his own fans.

Don't forget Grizmann for a bargain 100mill. I really can't see why we haven't had much success given how amazing we are at transfers since Fergie left.

Already signed contract with city, he is in manchester to do the medicals.
Thought the window opened on July 1st?

Weird signing for them imo. Will be interesting to see how much he costs as Pep still needs to sign loads of other players. Reckon they outspend us this Summer.

Fabinho, Walker and Alex Sandro, at a guess.
Exactly. Pep has off'd 4 defensive players in 24 hours and will surely replace them.

City swooping in for Silva and all of a sudden United fans are worried about City's defence.

Bit gutted if this turns out to be true, may not have been a totally perfect fit for us, but to see him go to City is annoying. He'll end up being a total bargain in the long run.

Does a couple of dribbles against City and everyone is convinced he is the second coming. Nuggets.
Well, seems like he played fantastically over a whole season, too. Not that I can claim to have watched much of him at all in fairness.

As if they are going to sell everyone in single window,no not happening.
It does. They can still sign him though, but he just can't join them until 1st of July.

My thinking too tbh.

More reputable sources now reporting this. Looks like city have got their man.

Well, it looks like Mendy, Fabinho, Silva and Bakayoko are all on the move. It was previously reported that both Silva and Lemar don't want to leave, because it wouldn't necessarily improve their chances of making the squad of their NT, yet here we are and Silva seems to be moving on.

Jesus feck, it genuinely took one day for people to start throwing hissy fits because we're not singing the player they want, nevermind that he is a complete opposite of what we actually need.

Sterling's kicking technique and end product is not good enough, Bernardo will replace him on the right with Sane on the left.

David Silva in top form remains their creative hub and arguably most important player.

How many widemen do they need? I thought KDB was the heir to Silva? Aguero and Jesus not playing together then?
This honestly doesn't make sense to me

What are you even on about ? With Rooney leaving and Mata hitting 30s we needed a number 10 who can create chance after chance with the ball at his feet. The team who didn't 'need' Bernardo Silva was City with the abundance of creativity in their team.

 All of a sudden James is better than Silva and we didn't want him anyway.
You are making the erroneous assumption that comments from one poster who was never in favour of one player over another have switched opinions because there is a rumour that he is going to City.

The caf is not a hive mind. Please show us where a particular poster pinned over Silva and then did an 180-degree turn?

He's exactly the player we need, he actually holds possession brilliantly in the final 3rd, doesn't sh*t his pants when a player presses him, can beat a player using skill/close control, fantastic dribbler and passer of the ball.

Silva won't play on the wings. He'll be one of the midfielders

Sane-----Aguero-----Jesus
---De Bruyne-----Silva----
---------Fernandinho-------

city aren't messing around are they?

Never thought he'd come here, he's a typical city signing. Everything about him screams Man city

He's shite, a total waste of space and just proves that we're going after the wrong people. We should be going after Barbosa, Brandt and Guedes. Oh wait, City are going to get him...

*initiate Muppet Protocol #2*

What the hell is Mourinho thinking? We should be going all out for this guy. Now City are going to walk the league and we'll be stuck with some crap like Valencia or Martial.

Wanna explain how he's the complete opposite of what we need?
Well a team which is full of silky creative number 10's with a meh goalscoring record doesn't really need another silky creative number 10 with a meh goalscoring record. I exaggerated obviously and he's a lovely player who's great to watch, but it really fecking isn't the end of the world if we don't sign him.

I think this is a transfer that the fans want to happen more than the manager does.
