Wow! Welcome! Don't know much about him but I knew nothing about Bailly so in Jose we trust :)

Our transfer window is kicking off it looks like... Morata should be added soon.

So let's see.

Young player - check
Good fee - check
Transfer completed quickly, quietly and efficiently - check

Won't stop the hysteria though.

Are Man Utd reliable? I remember that one time where a player was holding our shirt and went to play for Chelsea.
if Di Marzio doesn't say its a done deal...

Seriously mate, you have no idea of how unpredictable transfers can be. SAF himself confessed that Gazza and Shearer were a done deal while at our supporters club only to end up with a massive egg on his face

Honestly, his signing reminds me of Baily and look how he turned out to be. These days i am more excited by these kind of signings since they most likely are fueled by great scouting and are supposed to fit the squad rather than being just a statement signing.

I haven't seen much of him but I'm pleased with the stuff I've read on him, especially him being a ball playing defender and having good anticipation on defense. I think that is exactly what we need from a CB. Blind has that but he is limited by his physical attributes. That doesn't seem to be the case for Lindelof.

Great centre back partnerships in the modern era:

Bruce - Pallister
Stam - Johnson
Ferdinand - Vidic
Bailly - Lindelof

Yessss... get in!

Any idea why we've announced it before it's actually done? Have we ever done that before?

Atleast now when we're playing 6 at the back we'll have more than one player who can pass the ball.

Fair point(s) but having been bitten once, I doubt they'd let it happen again. I'm sure it's done and dusted really.
Thing was with Ramsey, we sent Gary Neville to sell ourselves to him where as Wenger met him personally. Ramsey was a boyhood Man Utd fan as well. So things like that can play a part but by all accounts we're the only ones in for Lindelof. It's 99% done IMO.

Ramsey fee agreed
United have agreed a fee with Cardiff City to bring talented teenager Aaron Ramsey to Old Trafford.

The 17-year-old left-sided midfielder has yet to agree personal terms and must also pass a medical before any deal can be completed.

A club spokesperson told ManUtd.com: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has agreed terms with Cardiff City for the transfer of Aaron Ramsey subject to contract terms being agreed and the player passing a medical."

But the Reds aren't the only club in for the teenager. Cardiff have confirmed that "three top Premier League teams" have made bids, with two given permission to speak to the Wales starlet.

Ramsey, who has attracted plenty of interest from the best clubs in England, is considered one of his country's brightest prospects in recent years and follows in an impressive line of left-sided Welsh players, including Gareth Bale and his idol Ryan Giggs.

He earned rave reviews following his performance in Cardiff's 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Middlesbrough and played in their final defeat to Portsmouth at Wembley

I read that Chelsea wanted him too, and even bid for him in January. If Jose and Conte rate him then he must be good.
