The reason so much was made of Rachel Riley's comments is truth hurts. Spurs are today's version of 1990s Newcastle: Everyone loves how they play but, ultimately, everyone knows it's going nowhere.

Some players will get frustrated the longer they go with a good team without winning a pot. That said I don't see a mass exodus happening, I think as long as Poch is there the majority of their good players will want to stay at Spurs.
The reasons Walker states above are exactly why Spurs won't win anything without additional firepower. They've been quite poor in the window again. By Walkers words it sounds like they don't have a plan to bring that final piece in, of course they would've discussed who to bring in with Walker to urge him to stay unless they didn't care he left or wanted to cash in on him, ofcourse just an assumption. Let's see what they do with this 50m.
They weren't close at all last season, and the season before that they bottled it. Only someone who hasn't won the title would make such statements. The teams like ourselves and Chelsea know all too well the importance of every single game at the end of the season. Being in slight contention then tailing off with 3/4 games isn't coming close, not by any stretch of the imagination. There's nothing to suggest that if Spurs were in scintillating form, Chelsea wouldn't have responded themselves. In other words, it's not on Spurs that they didn't win, Leicester and Chelsea were simply better respectively. They were also comfortably beaten in the FA Cup last year, the closest they came in a cup competition.
I can understand why he chose to left though. He is proving what a lot of us are saying on here, that if Spurs don't start picking up silverware then eventually the allure of winning trophies with another team will destabilise the seemingly harmonious Spurs unit. A new stadium is nice, but it's no match for the likes of OT. Even Chelsea will be getting a new stadium, and then theirs will be the best facilities wise until someone else does theirs.

I agree with him and I think that's going to lead to more players leaving Spurs.
We might not do much with it tbh. Poch believes in his players and will be bringing some of our youth players into the squad. Although I'd love a big signing I have trust in our manager.

I'm quite perplexed by the lack of willingness from United fans to give Spurs credit. Look at what they've spent these last five years compared to the teams around them. The fact that they're competing and even eclipsing teams like City and United who have so much more financial firepower is a fantastic achievement, and they're doing it with a young team and an English core while playing football that's very pleasing to the eye. I have huge respect for them and their manager.
I dont think its the club so many have issues with, its the cocky fans who suddenly seem to think Spurs are the biggest club on the planet after a couple of top 4 finishes.

Most Spurs fans are simply happy with developments both on the pitch and off the pitch (new stadium etc.), and are pleased that we have a young squad, with an English core, that is developing together under conditions of continuity and stability.
It irks some opposition fans that their clubs can't get our best players and that we've developed such a good team for relative peanuts ... hence silly statements like yours.

If you continue to not win anything, and continue to not offer the money other top clubs offer you're going to lose more players in the future and continue to be a selling club.
