I think Matic will be very useful in the champions league. I welcome the signing!

Levy will not let Dier go especially to us. Radja was never going to leave Roma, just wanted to scare them into a new contract and it worked.
Unfortunately you are probably right. I have not lost all hope on Dier however, sources keep telling he wants to join us and "pressure" a move to us..no idea how trustworthy those sources are however

Be happy to see Matic here. I'm a fan of his and Jose obviously is, too. They know what to expect from each other so he should be able to slot in fairly comfortably. If we can get him in i'd be quite happy and confident going into the new season.

If Neymar goes to PSG for €220m, Barca may bid for Dybala (it is speculated in the €110-120m range). Juve would accept and then bid for Cancelo as RB, Gimenez as CB and Milinkovic-Savic as CM. I am torn.

My preference is Dier, but Matic will do I guess.

Hard to get too exciting about any DM.

Spending huge money on Fabinho is more wise than on Matic if Both are available and gettable.
I don't think that Fabinho is available/obtainable any longer. Seemslike Monaco won't let any other players leave this transfer window as Lemar to Arsenal has gone cold as well.

But I can't understand why Jose really want's to buy Matic for that stupid amount of money. Why not wait and see what happens at PSG if Neymar/Sanchez arrives, surely they wont be able to keep all their star men with the fees/wages thoose two requires. Maybe Veratti will be a more "open" subject after that.

A player like Weigl which is the closest thing to Carrick one might find could be done for likely somewhere around 40m.

Feck it, I'm fine if we sign Matic, I don't particularly care about fees - he's obviously not a terrible player, probably going to be much better for us than we think.
I agree but I thought that about Fellaini so what do I know.

Fergie filled his team with the best players. There weren't many average players I can remember that were regulars.
Are you being serious, SAF best trait in my eyes was taken a squad of good players mixed in with some great players and making them the best TEAM we never had 11 amazing players. What we did have was a squad of players that would work and die for each other and thats the reason what set us apart from everyone else.

Plays in a foreign league! That's way more exciting than buying someone from boring Chelsea! Always more exciting when you've never even watched the transfer target play!
What is it with people always assuming they haven't seen a certain player play, just because they don't agree with them?

Uhm, Nainggolan is a much better player lad. He is one of the best midfielders in the world. There is reason why 90%of the caf wanted him here.
They aren't the same type of player. I doubt he could do the job Matic does and vice versa. Jose wants somebody to sit in and stay disciplined.

There is something called Midfeild balance, in a team and Naingolan does not provide that balance, It Would Just be like a muppet signing fans want to see.

Ya that's a fair remark. Nainggolan however is an excellent player.
There might be a lot of motives as to why we are not signing him. The most probable one is that he is not interested in a move.

In 4-3-3, I would prefer to have an attacking balance, instead of our present.

True, Nainggolan is more of a box to box midfielder. He would suit the premier league exceptionally well.
If he was interested in a move, I am pretty sure Conte would be the first one to call him and try to sign him for Chelsea.

He can do it just fine, it's just a waste of resources. Like buying a Bugatti to drive it only in the middle of a town with a 30 mph speed limit

Good description, but not sure he would want to just sit. He is a more all action player.
That's the thing. He absolutely can play as a DM -it's where he played for cagliari and every big club in italy wanted him as a DM/CM type- but since moving to Roma he's been unleashed as a monster box-to-box player and shadow striker. It's unlikely he'll want to go back to being a DM

I like Juve and hope you don't sell Dybala. He is the reason Allegri is moving towards a more attacking team. Even with all the signings, Juve will be taking a step back by losing Dybala.

Besides, you have depth at CB and should offload Lemina and Sturaro to get SMS. Cancelo is the only one you might really need.

Not one bit excited by Matic, he's more of a Schneiderlin type player than a proper dm and I think he'll go exactly the same way
Admittedly, Matic has had it rough recently but to compare him to Morgan? Nah. They are not in the same league.

He was Premiera Liga player of the year, he won the Primiera Liga title, he was in the PFA team of the year and has won the Premier League title twice playing key roles for Chelsea both times. He was once regarded as one of the world's top three defensive midfielders and that was just about three/four seasons ago. Morgan has not achieved anything close to that. If Jose can manage to get Matic back to anywhere close to his best, United will be a transformed team.

If Juve would accept €110-120m for Dybala, I honestly think Barca should let Neymar go. €220m is silly money for any player, and Neymar - as good as he is - is not Messi's level and thus isn't going to be sorely missed over the next 5-7 years if they can replace him properly. Dybala is world-class, a couple of years younger and getting better by the season and I think would fit Barca's front-three and style of play brilliantly.

Arguably more importantly than that - they would have €100m or so left to try and fix their midfield issues and find a proper replacement for Xavi or the heir to Iniesta (assuming that isn't Andre Gomes, maybe he'll improve next year, who knows). They could try and get Thiago back for that money...
Cheers! Yeah, in principle a top club should never lose top quality but the accounting books and the rebuilding phase have their needs. I am pretty sure Dybala will go this year or next, it really depends on how this crazy market unfolds.
