First season available on Netflix.

Jason Bateman, family man and financial advisor, launders money for a drug cartel.

Anyone watched it yet? Seems to be going for a Breaking Bad vibe.

I'd enjoyed the trailer when it was uploaded. Will watch the first episode tomorrow.

Has good reviews and I like Linney, Bateman & Morales - not sure I will ever dissociate the Bob role from the latter though

Loved the use of Radiohead track at the end of the first episode.

Too boring, they've tried to hard to create that gritty atmosphere and have removed all charm in the process.

Gave it up after two eps.

Boring and miserable for the most part. Don't think anyone ever smiles.

Seems the use of Radiohead on the soundtrack was most apt.
Over the ten episodes I would say you could count on two hands (with fingers remaining) the amount of scenes in which someone smiled. Either that or scenes in which at least one character didn't have tears in their eyes.

You've finished it already?

5 episodes in and I'm really enjoying it. There's been a bit of a slowing down since the opening couple of episodes, but I quite like that. It's easier to buy into the everyman angle when they're slow and methodical with the show. Similar to Breaking Bad, where the first season was incredibly methodical with the story early on, before it became faster-paced.

Good reviews? Where have you been reading those? I saw this mostly get bad reviews and hence did not watch it.

Started watching this with low expectations and ended up really enjoying it. 1 episode left to go and already wanting the next season.

Three episodes in. First one is fast out of the blocks, and then it slows down a bit, but it's not bad.

Marty's wife is a shitbag. I hope she gets thrown off a balcony

It's brilliant, just can't quite believe I binged it all in one night and now we've gotta wait for ages to watch new episodes.

What was filmed in Atlanta?
Most of Ozark, and I say Atlanta in general because most scenes were shot 35-40 mins north of Atlanta in a small town called Woodstock and around lake Allatoona in the same area bordering Cobb and Cherokee counties. Have to mention Canton GA as well, just north of Woodstock.

Cheers,
I was thinking it was set quite a way from Atlanta.
Nice gig.
