Over a few pre season games
The good news is that we didn't concede a goal from open play... the bad news is that their youngsters outplayed most of our top players, although not having Herrera and Mata I'm contributed to the lack of offensive attack. Pogba and Mkhi looked lost today.
Poor display all round but that second half was shockingly bad. First half we were competitive but fortunate with that one moment of quality

The point was that the way he put it, he more or less said flueny was gone because Herrera was injured, while it imo would be more correct to say it was missing even when he was on. More appropriate to say it was because it was down to changes between 1st and 2nd half than down to Herrera's injury.
Very disappointing second half from the lads. Expected a lot more, especially from the likes of Pogba, Lukaku and Mkhitaryan.
Some just looked disinterested, as if they thought they were just going to walk all over Madrid's second/youth team. Didn't happen, and if i'm honest, that was embarrassing to watch.
Only one who deserves a mention is McTominay, who actually did look interested, and did some good stuff in the game.

Main thing that stuck out to me that half was the difference Valencia makes. I swear I didn't see us attacking down the right once before he came on

Never like to read too much into preseason, but it looks to me like we still need something different in the final third. It's still not there.

True, but I feel that we need a bit more depth in midfield. Fellaini shouldn't be either starting or playing the whole game.
He was awful. Players like him aren't good enough for Manchester United.The stadiums vary in size. Allen Eagles stadium is uniquely big, however, across the entire south it's not unheard of to find large capacities. I lived in Texas for four years and community sports are huge!

This 2nd season is important for us and Jose and I hope he isn't overestimating the side.
