I am not sure that was all about Jose.

What has that rubbish play by guys who are supposed to be professional footballers got to do with the manager in that half? Pogba out, Fellaini out, he puts in the boys on the bench and they play rubbish. Mata can't control a simple ball in the midfield. Goal. Lindelof can't clear an aerial ball. Goal.

The boys need to be slapped. Absolutely pathetic display.
Not the first time either, we've had some truly miserable first halves the past 2 1/2 seasons. Where individual mistakes ruin the game at the back, yet failing to produce anything up front. We just appear unready to play

Rashford for Mata, Mkhitaryan for Lingard and Blind for Lindelof. Lindelof should never play for the club again. As soon as we sell Lingard the better. Do not care if he is from the academy and homegrown. He is stealing a living.
Yes. We need to make 4 subs.

    Test of character.

The reality is we are going to be camped outside their box. We just need a bit of quality to get one back and with the pressure we can hopefully get even.

Whether its 0-0 or we are down 2-0 we are going to have the major share of possession. Its up to us to break them down.

    Solid plan.

I'm sure glad they changed the rules.
We're playing like a Van gaal team, all possession no penetration, coupled with a few individual errors and picked off on the counter. It's all very de ja vu.

If you're gonna leave yourself open to the counter, at least make the effort to batter the defense with numbers and runs.

This has been coming though, we've been poor since Pogba got injured, but just about managed to weather the storm to see us through.

EDIT: sorry forgot about the Lindelof sub ha

Just saw that Lindelof error again it’s like he didn’t want the ball to hit his head

    Rash and Mkh on.

Will Lindelof pay the Mkh type penance of last year now? Mkh hardly done anything wrong compared to what Lindelof has lol

Mourinho will be fuming. His whole philosophy is about being airtight. Not one mistake, but two. We basically got Mourinhoed by hudderfield.

Rashford coming on at HT apparently. Hope to feck it's not a like for like sub for Martial and instead we go all out for this. Nothing to lose here.
I hope it's like for like. Martial has been rubbish and he is likely going to get a second yellow card if he goes on the way he has been.

Everytime Mason refs our games there are some shocking decisions. Stonewall pen, freekick against Lingard despite him getting pushed three times then 20 mins later exactly the same thing but in our favour...except its a drop ball wtf?

For me it's Mata off and Rashford on in the second, Mata just hasn't been at the races at all today. With Rashford on there is enough there for us.

Lindeloff is absolutely terrible, has looked shakey in every single game he's played for us.
Rashford for Mata, Blind for Lindelöf & Mkhitaryan for Lingard.
    Martial - Mkhitaryan - Rashford
    Lukaku

With Blind helping Herrera & Matic with passes (sure he's not great defensively, but he's good on the ball for a "CB", and we need to create something).
But 3 changes is risky, one injury and we're fecked.

Edit: Fck me, forgot Jones stole a change from us with his injury.

Maybe bring in Blind to replace Mata and move Valencia and Young up as wingbacks could be the solution.
3-5-2 as someone suggested may work. Rashford to replace Martial so to have another center forward.

We have to have a better attitude on the field than this shite if we want to do something. We need to be more aggressive ffs.

I can see us back again with 3-2 win for us under Sir Alex. Under Jose with this current squad, I'm not too confident if we can score 3 goals. Huddersfield will park the bus here & we don't have Fellaini for plan B as well.

Another close season of spending...
Yep, in what world does a team stacked with average players like Lingard, Valencia, Young, Darmian, Herrera, Fellaini, Smalling win leagues and challenge for the CL. I think we are miles off personally and I reckon Jose does too.

Absolutely nothing good right now. Terrible defending, midfield poor and atrack clueless and isolated.

Said in the week we should have just gone 3 in the midfield with McTominay. This formation with these players just doesn't work
That is the only complaint I have with Lukaku is that is does get isolated, but will not then do anything to make something happen. He cannot make something out of nothing, he just feeds of others. That is the difference between him and Kane.

Get Rashford and Mkhitaryan in ASAP, get Lingard the f*ck out of the team, shouldn't even be included on the bus home to Manchester.

JM would get a stroke, imagine skipping seniors to pick some kid he pulled out of reserves and on top switch to 4-3-3.

Of course he can play every Premier League game. And even if he couldn't Lindelöf is probably the last player I'd play instead of him.
to get used to the pace of the EPL, it would have been a better move. At the moment, he does look a bit small to play CB, in the EPL.

That not needing that 4th player in pre season making Jose look like a utter fool right now.

Most physical league in the world, players in squad with injury tendencies for the past few seasons, buys only 3 players.

Yeah what could go wrong /s.

I was commenting on the fact whoever I replied to, was asking for 3 subs.

The rules are 3 subs. Either he doesn't know that. Or, he forgot that Jones was emergency subbed off and Lindelof came on, chickened out of a 50/50 ball he would have won, and then made an unforced error that caused a second goal.

You're not allowed to say that on here! Expect the Mouswarm to be all over you for not towing the company line!
    :D
Fair enough if some did but I wasn't particularly impressed. I thought we played better in some of the home draws last season but it's just that we were a hell of a lot more clinical this year.

    1. Lukaku is repeatedly guilty to being lazy and not making channel runs wide to alleviate pressure. A big target man central when there's no one remotely close to him is useless.
    2. Because Lukaku doesn't do this it doesn't allow any space for Martial to roam central (think what Benzema does for Ronaldo, for eg.)
    3. Overlapping runs don't exist. Players either don't have tactical intelligence to read the game and the run, or, as I suspect, Mourinho de-emphasises overlapping runs out of precaution.
    Very good post.

That challenge Lindelof did for the 2nd goal or tried it reminded me of me defending and I'm terrible at playing football.

    I can in fairness

Just need a goal and I think it’ll happen
Agreed. I can absolutely see us scoring 2 goals. With the amount of possession we are going to have and camping outside their box, we just have to get some quality in there.

I know people do not want to hear this , but we really miss Fellani. Physically without him we are just a push over and our lighter players do not have the quality to compensate for been so weak physically.
We aren’t physically weak we just aren’t good enough. There are very few players in that starting eleven who are good passers or can keep the ball under pressure.

We had similar problems against Everton and Southampton with Fellaini in the team.

Individual errors have cost us today but these are problems that existed for a few seasons now and it’s why we are top four rather than title contenders.
