Maybe haven't got the individual quality but as a collective, done a decent job and results matter? Brazil aren't missing many players (any?), England would argue missing a few.
Not a Southgate fan, but impressed with some of the players who have come in - done far better than I'd expected. Like the full backs, 3-man CHs done ok, like the press, think Dier sat/led team ok, not a Vardy fan (one-dimensional). Result (may) outweigh performance?
I know it's a friendly, but this has been a really good defensive performance from England. Brazil have done nothing.
