Oh I'm sorry, does 90 minutes against Italy mean his Huddersfield nightmare didn't happen? Lindelof put in the worst 90 minute performance in recent memory until Ward went one up tonight. That was the comparison I was making and I never used that word.

Aside from that, Italy could've been playing the Swedish groundskeeping XI until now and they still wouldn't have scored.
The original quote is with that word, so you imply it. You weren't making a comparison to one of Lindelöf's performances, or at least that wasn't clear in your post.

Also, 2 good games against Italy. Shows his form is good now, at least for the NT. Thus, poor timing.

Poor old Ireland. 1 - 5. Good campaign, though. Good luck to Denmark in the WC. Come on you boys in Green

England have done well IMO. We haven’t been that good though. Good test though.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
I'm more talking about the quality of player.
Maybe haven't got the individual quality but as a collective, done a decent job and results matter? Brazil aren't missing many players (any?), England would argue missing a few.

Not a Southgate fan, but impressed with some of the players who have come in - done far better than I'd expected. Like the full backs, 3-man CHs done ok, like the press, think Dier sat/led team ok, not a Vardy fan (one-dimensional). Result (may) outweigh performance?

You've read something you wanted to read into my post that was never intended. Think what you want to think, but don't put words I haven't used in my mouth.

Hope that silences the critique we got after the first game. We do try to play football!

Delighted. Eriksen, what a player. Deserves to be at the World Cup.

Ireland have been woeful every single time I've seen them 'play' over the last few years. Don't deserve to be anywhere near a World Cup.

Congrats Denmark.

Shades of mid-80s Denmark tonight, with the seemingly effortless devouring of their prey.
