Under the circumstances, it's understandable to be a bit apprehensive when facing City, even at home. Didn't really expect this level of fear and respect, though.

    Zlatan to score the winner.

City are just the better team than us.
Lingard winding up Otamendi,Delph and Fernandinho :D
They may well be a better team than us but we've contrived to make them look better with the approach we've taken, we should be challenging their weaknesses but instead have played into their hands.

Can we actually attack and test this dodgy defence? I really want us to put this City team to the sword.

In those few minutes before half time, we almost conceded twice. City was playing on the counter, but for some bad passing we could have been 3 nil down.
    Just saying...

Let have a go at City, the last 5 minutes of the half shows what could happen. We're showing then way too much respect when they are defensively suspect.

Insane tactical battle. Three dimensional chess in the snow. Come the feck on United!

Get Lindelof on for one of Rashford, Martial and Lingard. Need someone with good longer passes. Rojo has been instructed to look for longer passes but is not playing them well. De Gea ain’t a great longer passer and neither is Smalling. Back 3/5 would allow us to build attacks from our own box, as City aren’t pressing with enough men and Lindelof as good variety and ability in his passing.
In general, we are very good defensively, but poor with the ball. We need to change that and a change of shape and personnel would help.

Lukaku needs to stay on otamendi when city have the ball. Our defense from the front has been awful, lingard is marking two players. that just wont work.

Have to swap Martial over and getting him running at Walker full keg....draw a foul.

    Anyone but Rashford
It's not that we're playing long balls that bothers me. It's that we're really really bad at it. Lukaku isn't good under long balls at the best of times but there's not even support for him if does win a flick on. Honestly think if these are the tactics that you may as well have Fellaini as the #9.

We've been terrible. At everything. City haven't even been at their best but we're not even trying to test their weak areas. Every player looks afraid to carry the ball - No one is showing for it. We look seriously inhibited and it's concerning. We're at panic stations all over and it's led to us conceding a set piece against a team of midgets.

I'm hoping the goal - Which came after a tiny spell of attacking play - Actually wises us the feck up as to how to appreaching

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Actually I think that goal from Rashers is on Otamendi. He missed to clear the ball with the header and instead gave it just a slight touch so that Delph was out of position to stop the ball. Still looked hilarious.

COME on lads.... lucky to be going in 1 all but city haven't been all that . A bit more patience and calmness on the ball and we will cause them problems. Get martial and Rashford running at kmpany and walker and we have a chance to win this.

Another case of United sitting back and waiting to sense the moment to pounce and come alive.

City score and we instantly play better, equalise and continue to play well like were after killing the game in these 'moments' only.

It needs to stop coz we can't keep only playing well in these 'moments' we need to start if strong and capitalize in these moments instead of waiting for them to present themselves especially in the form if conceding.

Lingard with 9 touches and Lukaku with 10, pretty awful.

Game reminds me of Spain vs Holland in 2014. Spain dominated the first half and got 1-0 up then conceded in the last seconds of the first half.

    Similar scenario please

Need more 2nd half, absolutely dreadful in that half.

We’re getting absolutely dominated, I think we’re making city look better than they actually are.

Neville just said at half time we look nervous on the ball and he’s right, can’t understand why we’re in awe of them.

Hope we press higher like we did second half against Spurs. We need to go for it and also stop them playing. The defenders they got are not that great on the ball so we should press them. Right now we let Silva and De Bruyne get the balls and then try to take it from them which is much harder.

It’s not that easy man, to attack we need the bloody ball. And with Sterling coming in, we need to understand how our midfield is supposed to cope with him.

Martial must play on the left. It is obvious. Rashford can play on the right, use speed and cross from the right side

Too much distance between our 3 AM and our DM - so every time de Bruyne or Silva gets a pass behind Lingard, Martial and Rashford, they have a clear route until 25 meters from goal.

If we are gonna be that defensive and counter - we have to move our AM further down the pitch. We will lose if we don't improve in the second half. Having said that - I am not impressed by that City-defense, we can score more goals on them.

As a fanatic follower of the Terms and Conditions and considering my red points, i would like to ask the caf a few mellow questions.

    A: Isn't a dive = yellow ?
B: Are you proud of our boys out there?
C: Is this what England considers snow?
D: Why are we not attacking Delph's zone?

I think we should keep the same players going in, maybe replacing rojo if need be. But just start playing out from the back rather than hoofing it...
