People need to stop saying this. Opponents barely had the ball against us with Van Gaal. Van Gaal methods are much more relevant in football right now than Mourinhos. Southampton were running circles around us.
United were rubbish but Southampton weren't running circles around anyone let's not be ridiculous.

Well done Pogba for that offside situation. Fecking brilliant.
Not good enough. Get rid of those low in confidence players.

Start of the season, thought we would finish 5th due to the fact we made no attacking signings. Was fooled by the clinical finishing early on in the season, but their real quality is starting to shine through. These same set of players finished 6th, what made anyone think they would do better anyway.

Not even arsed. Maybe another season out of the CL should be a good kick up Ed's arse to start spending, since making Top 4 is of no use if we are just also-rans. We need more proven quality in attack.

We've looked hopeless the past month. Season started great but Mourinho's attitude in that draw away to Liverpool has dampened everyone's spirits and set the tone for how it's been since then.

fecking garbage, good job letting this average Chelsea get ahead of us.
Chelsea aren't average.

We are poor though. I always stick up for Jose and the lads but even I'm getting fed up with these performances now.

Stop playing Pogba in a midfield two for god sake. He doesn't offer anything from there.

I don't want it to happen but Jose will be sacked by May.

Pathetic from the first minute. We look tired, lack any urgency or fight and it’s just so disappointing.

Special mention to the ref who was uttter dogshit throughout.

Since SAF retired the player have been incapable of coping with any real pressure. Last season every time they went above 4th place they got a nose bleed and quickly went back down to 5/6th.

After the City defeat the players needed to show their mental strength and just go out and perform, yet again they have been found wanting.

Miki is so mentally fragile that he can't even cross a ball.

Bleeding frustrating match to watch!

Remember when we had a chance to go within 5 points of 1st with a win over City?

Everything we're seeing now is a result of that derby defeat. The players knew it was over then and subsequent performances have nosedived.

We are done.

I have to accept I know feck all about football. I badly wanted Mourinho post Fergie, but this is just horrible. I’ve misjudged him so badly. He’s such a terrible fit for us.

Abysmal. No movement, no incisiveness, no creativity. Three points from Leicester, Burnley and Southampton; two of those at home. We're going backwards just now.

Jose needs to motivate this team to play PL games. The title is long gone, but if we don't beat the likes of Liverpool and Spurs to top four then he should go for me.

I'd be on the Mourinho out train if there was any single manager in world football right now to replace him.

But there's not unfortunately.

Mou CLEARLY not good enough.

Sure we're in second place but pretty much any other decent coach would have put us in the same position! Bring in Tuchel or Sarri or somebody else with a modern system PLEASE!!!

Maybe. But we had some shots on target atleast, under LVG sometimes we didn't even have one shot on target.

Absolutely pathetic, against the worst Southampton team in years we put in the most lacklustre performance you can imagine. No energy, no desire, no creativity. I'm not one to call for a big turn around of players but we have far too many who just don't want to put in the hard work. This performance is a big worry, we'll be out of the top 4 by the end of Jan at this rate.

December to dismember.

One of the worst performances this season. At least in the Burnley match we showed a bit of fight, we did not even look like scoring there. Fingers crossed this is the end of the slump.

The whole team should be ashamed of the football played in all 3 matches. I always thought Jose is the man who can turn it around but I think I am wrong. We will probably be out of top by the end of the season. I see City, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool above us. Let Jose finish his 3 years contract and get a new manager in.

You can say what you want, but at least Lukaku works hard and tries. Rashford was truly awful.

What a mess. Manager in a hotel. No players apparently incoming in Jan. Can't pass. Can't move. Don't have a backup striker. A board that seems to be tightening the purse strings, a manager that doesn't seem to give a feck, players that simply aren't up to the pressure of playing for us or players that are not good enough, more and more empty seats every home game.

We were fecking terrible today and the fact that we lost Lukaku after a few minutes shouldn't gloss over it.

There are big issues. What a December!

One of the worst performances of the season. Losing Lukaku was disappointing but we were absolutely toothless. Jose should not have played Miki who had no form and no confidence.

No win in 4 and in free fall. This is becoming a crisis and we are now battling for UCL football.

Flat. Tired. Empty. Spiritless.
Tired ?? , useless more like . Pogba display was embarrassing that guy is just one big pose who partys . Rashford is just an overated kid who should be nowhere near the first team .lingard runs , Shaw is pretty much useless and hopefully on his way out soon .lucky if we make 4th

Our form has flatlined over Christmas. Totally pathetic performance again today. Can't create, can't finish, can't secure a win.

We've allowed the chasing pack to catch us up and we're now back in a Top 4 battle. Even that's not looking so secure now.

Back in LVG days players were complaining that he is forcing them to practise patterns of attacking play which according to them restricted their creativity.
Now they have manager who lets them fully express their flair and skill. This is the result.
Get rid of some of the players then. They didn't want to learn under LVG and now they've got 'freedom' they don't know what to do with it. Their mentality is so shit.

I know Jose needs to do more with the attackers, but simple things they shouldn't need anyone to tell them to do. Need to fine all of them 1 month's wages.

Winless in four. We’re going to do well to finish top four. They all have their weaknesses but Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool all look like better teams than us. We have to hope one of them implodes like we’ve just done.
