I think we all were. That was a strange business.
He started on fire aswell, only a couple of games but he was doing things that were crazy. I remember he took this shot where he almost played top spin on it like in snooker. Can't even remember if it was a goal but it was a brilliant piece of improvisation.

Although that picture is obviously staged, and cheesy as hell; but Feck it!! I just love looove love it!!!

Gotta say our marketing and promotions group have done quite well. This has to be one of the best player signings feature I can recall

I'd be like that if get paid 1 million /wk. (or is it 1.5m?)
Can those who aren't active in here please abstain from making jokes about Sanchez, or at least read a page before doing so? Same jokes at least once on every page is tiring - especially for someone who's been living in the Sanchez threads these past 10 days. :boring:

I did read the last 5 pages, you muffin. And my joke is as original as Fellaini's hair. Wanna hear a joke about Sanchez playing dirty?

Inspired me to go to his hometown of Tocopilla when I reach Chile again. Will dirty sanchez the lot! - we'll see if it annoys them more than having a #7 shirt with my last name on it. I'm a professional photographer so watch this space! ;)

By the way, I'm expecting @Fridge chutney, @Judas and @edgar allan to acknowledge my ITKness..

It's funny, when I stayed in Chile with the cousin of Claudio Bravo's wife during the Summer window, he told me Claudio said 100% Sanchez wasn't coming to City. Seems he might be correct for the January window too!

Hats off to the marketing team for that wonderful announcement video. Really classy and hits all the right notes.

And what a brilliant signing. We've just gone ahead and got ourselves one of the very best footballers in the premier league, and that too replacing one who was just not performing at all. He's an elite player and takes our squad to a fantastic place. Can't help but feel this fellow is made for the club and that we cocked up by choosing Di Maria over him 3/4 years back (I agreed with that decision at the time). He has the class, the strength and the mentality that our number 7 should have. Can't wait to see him, Martial and Pogba going at defences.

Yep, should have been ours in 2009. Genuine Ronaldo replacement. Seems like Fergie did try to get him according to Alexis’s interview but probably rejected because of Barca.

If only we would have had Woodward in charge back then...

Things I learned from this video:

1. He is much more gifted at through balls than I had thought.
2. He dribbles like a wizard although he can sometimes try one turn too many.
3. He has an uncanny ability to hit the bar with a free kick.

You just described Pogba.

Well, at that point Di Maria had just been man of the match in the CL final and probably was coming off the prime of his career, on paper he had everything to suceed here. But Alexis has more talent than Angel and a better mentality.

We all are probably guessing correctly that Sanchez will play with Lukaku and Lingard uprfront, with both Martial and Rashford as reserves, at least in the main matches and Ibra as a luxury sub (Unless he surprises us all he will probably be gone in the summer) but what happens if Martial or Rashford starts having a good run, does Lukaku loses his spot or no way ?

Yeah I preferred Di Maria as well at the time. But as we've seen over the years, Alexis is a better athlete, more decisive/impactful and most importantly has a much stronger mentality. That he fit better at Madrid and had some key performances towards the end of (and during) that season clouded a lot of our judgements.

That would make no sense. Martial is simply too good and is playing too well to be a reserve.

Yeah, Sanchez relishes the task of being the main man, while Di Maria always benefited from Ronaldo Benzema and Bale getting the spotlight while he fitted in there, and ocasionally producing incredible displays without all the pressure on him. To be fair to Angel though, Rooney and Van Persie were supposed to be that super partnership and arguably were worse than him.

Woke up today and check on redcafe to see that Sanchez did sign yesterday.. Great news

You just got wifi for the first time in 2018?

Seriously how did we come to the idea of signing this guy ? The chance of it happening was like 5% lol

Totally out of the blue.

Jesusssss......

One of the best things in years definitely.......reminds me of signing of Cantona, Rooney, Ronaldo, Keane, RVP,......

Lets go all out now for the CL !

Still gutted Chelsea didn't sign him but boy Alexis is going to be amazing at United. He truly ticks the boxes of that one explosive and seasoned attacking forward that is so hard to find in the modern game. Seems like a perfect fit for the number 7 shirt as well.

I still can’t believe they’ve given us Alexis... it’s more of a shock than Arsenal giving us RVP. They’re going to regret it like Chelsea giving us Matic.

I'm a professional videographer and i can confirm you that although the stage was set, this is genuine reaction of him picking up his kit for the first time.

Then the pro photographer use his zoom lens and burst capture...then this is the result. Which is

Wooah what a day, I go to work at 5pm. On my first break I find out we have officially signed Sanchez, on my second break I find out Liverpool had lost to Swansea, after that I was half expecting to come home to a fully nude Emilia Clarke lying in my bed. No such luck with that last one tho, still if Carlsberg did Mondays...

Best attacking player we have signed since Van Persie. Can't wait to see him play for our shirt.
