Conte can get to feck. Taking Hazard off with 2 to go was ridiculous. Joke of a decision.
Hazard was one of Chelsea's most productive players, the decision to take him off made absolutely no sence whatsoever. Chelsea offered very little in the way of an attacking threat after that substitution.

Not playing Cesc was a surprise. Conte must have known we would have 2 sitting so why not have Cesc exploit the space they left in front of them?

Enjoy watching the CL on the telly next year. It would take a massive bottle job even by Spurs's proportion to let them back in the top four.

City spends while United defends!
I've been accustomed to seeing a Chelsea squad with 11 big salary, top names suiting up weekly. While they do have elite talents like Hazard and Willian, something seems off about them. Sure they've spent gobs of money this past year with names such as Drinkwater, Morata and Bakayoko but they don't seem to be the same. Good for us, I guess.

Even if he wasn't playing particularly well, you just can't take off Eden Hazard when you're trying to score. He's that one player who can pull out the magic and create a goal at any moment.

Who needs Cesc Fabregas when you have Danny fecking Drinkwater.:drool:

Say what? The gap is only 2 points, with 10 games to go.

True, but Chelsea play City away next round and even with a two point lead (which will probably turn to 5 after the City game) you're in the driving seat. Spurs - Chelsea at the Bridge will be massive though.

They have gone from having a championship winning team to a top 4 team

May not even make top 4 this season which will be a disaster

Who ever is in charge of signings there needs to be sacked

Conte will 100% not be there next season so they need a new manager and better players
The one in charge of signings will always be there regardless of whoever the "head coach" is.

Hence, no top quality coach would touch Chelsea with a ten foot pole and rightly so.

A year or so back, Spurs scored the most goals. Conceded the fewest and somehow failed to win the league.
If any team can "bottle" it, it's Spurs. They have a unique ability to fail, even when it seems unlikely.

If they lose to City they will be in terrible position. They must avoid a loss there at all costs.

Not sure why he subbed out Hazard, his presence alone keeps the team on back foot and once he was off I was lot more relaxed as there isn't any player in the Chelsea squad who has playmaking ability like Hazard. He could take on players and create lot of gaps in the defese.

They have won 2 out of the last 3 league titles.
They are the reigning league champs.
They are a top side.
Not with that squad of players they're not. They massively overachieved last season btw. This is not a vintage Chelsea side, far from it despite your love for them.

Conte said in his post match that Hazard was tired, which might be the case given even before he got subbed, he had started to fade. We can say the same for Lingard sub for Martial. A less graceful dribbler got off for a more engertic player. Pedro just happened to put in a disastrous performance while Lingard resynergize us.

Didn't watch the post match interviews. Then it makes sense.

I agree. Our performance was good though, the manner of the defeat nit so much.

He was tired after the Barcelona game, at least he didn't get injured. We had a good goal ruled out, that's how it goes. Cant criticize conte too much for that sub.

Luiz falling out with Conte is one of our biggest problems. His distribution is better and he didn't make many mistakes. He should be dovetailing with Christensen in the middle of the back 3.

Think its not over for anyone. They can still finish second easily and are in a decent position in CL. I do think if they are not in the champions league next year Roman will sack conte. I think conte will be a good choice for arsenal or PSG if/when he leaves.

Conte is gone no matter what. He'll walk himself.

They are not sacking Conte to hire LVG on a interim basis. Would be pointless.

First half was the most comfortable we have been at Old Trafford for years, it was our own fault for not capatalizing on that period.

That was mainly down to yet another awful performance from the home team. We've been in terrible form recently and sleepwalked our way through the first half. Thank feck we turned things round in the second half. The result should give us a much-needed confidence boost.

You never know, maybe Abramovich is impressed by the foundations or whatwver that people claim was laid by LVG at United.
Also maybe he will bring in a few kids through from their much famed academy.
Plus if Chelsea wants to appoint Sarri next year, Van Gaal would be like a beginners course in Possession Football, making the transition a bit easier

Because we were utterly pathetic in the first half not because Chelsea were good whatsoever.

Taking away Matic and costa hurt them alot. What else would they have expected?
It looked a crazy decision back in the summer and now it's still looking as bizarre.

Two absolutely key players for them last season. And selling one to a direct rival.

Won't happen.

Think Conte will leave on "mutual agreement" in summer as we used to see with Chelsea, with Carlo replacing him.

I really don't think his philosophy is as bad as it was made to look over here.
I think things would have been a lot better for us if we had quicker attackers under him.
Don't think he'd win the league with Chelsea but would expect them to perform a lot better than we did under him.

Buying players like Drinkwater and Barkley and persisting with Moses is really poor altogether.
