Lingard, and Bailly are two of our most important players so they be thought of on similar lines to de Gea.

How can you drop or not play Lingard after his goalscoring display in our last match??

What about Lingard would you not start him?

Lingard is our second highest scoring player this season, so if we want goals from our team, and presumably we do, then surely it makes sense to start those that have them?

Is Sanchez overall a better player than Lingard, yes he is, but has he done enough with us, to be in front of Lingard, no, he most certainly has not.
If anyone should be on the bench out of those two, then it should be Sanchez

I know Shaw is not the best leftback in the world but he’s still a leftback, which is better by a default than having right footed aging winger being asked to fill in that role.

Hmm. I think we may be ok. But Palace will be ready.. they have nothing to lose, and a Monday Night under the lights, live audience, home crowd... we need to start well and impose ourselves on the game.

Lukaku will hopefully carry that positive energy onto the park from the Chelsea game. Lindgard has to start too, and i really hope Rashford gets a start, and Shaw too.

Both the line up and formation will be interesting. I'm not sure Mourinho knows how to play Sanchez yet. He should play off Lukaku, with licence to roam. Thing is, it is only himself or Pogba that are able to change defense into attack instinctively and with any confidence. If we don't get him into the game early, then we lose him. That's huge waste.

If Matic and McTominy play well, we play further up the pitch, and then Pogba, Sanchez, Rashford can do there thing in areas that can hurt teams, rather than plodding through a defensive midfield.

MOURINHO: WE BELIEVE IN RASHFORD
Jose Mourinho has been singing the praises of Marcus Rashford ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace on Monday night.

The 20-year-old forward has featured 38 times for the Reds in all competitions this season, with ten goals and eight assists to his name. When asked about Rashford’s progress, during a press conference to preview the Palace match, Mourinho responded positively and highlighted the youngster’s versatility.

The United manager said: “The good thing with Marcus is he can play in the three attacking positions so, even when he doesn’t start, to be on the bench is such a security for me and for the team.

“Marcus is a fantastic boy. He is also very grounded and, for sure, we love him, and we believe in him and he’s going to have the chances to keep developing.”

Rashford has not started for the Reds since the Emirates FA Cup win over Yeovil in late January, but the boss dismissed any talk of this affecting his England prospects in the lead-up to the World Cup.

“If the national coach trusts him, he selects him,” said Mourinho. “It doesn’t matter if he plays or if he doesn’t play.

“I don’t [verbally] reassure anybody, anyone. The main reassurance for Marcus is that he’s always selected [if available]. There is not one single match when he is not selected to start or to be on the bench.”

Last Wednesday was the second anniversary of Rashford’s Premier League debut, when his brace as an 18-year-old helped United to register a 3-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford.

That came just three days after he had scored two goals on his full debut against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League, and Mourinho feels the forward is sometimes a victim of that early success.

The boss said: “Because Marcus had such an impact in the beginning, probably people are expecting him to play even more than he does and score even more than he does and to perform even more than he does. But that’s not so simple.

“At his age, what he’s doing is more than enough, and the experience that he’s getting at every level is more than enough, for us to be happy with what we think is going to be his future.”

The obsession with Rashford by the media is ridiculous.

If Rashford was fit for the FA Cup game he'd have played more minutes than Stones yet all the questions are over Rashford's place in the England squad and zero about Stones despite him becoming fourth choice.

I thought Mourinho preferred specialists. That's what he said when he arrived. Now he's going against that. One is a natural left footed fullback who's played there since the beginning of his career. The other is a failed winger who's spent most of his time at United filling in at different positions and is now in bad form.
