Rom's attitude and workrate is like that of a captain. Truly great to see.

Good performance form the team after a slow start. We need the FB's to be more adventurous and productive.

Such a terrible footballer he has become
A physical beast. In the old days, when fullbacks weren't expected to chase up and down, he would have been sensational. Now, though, he's clearly a weak link in our attacking play.

Anyone in Stretford End T2 row 45-55 seats 140-160 fancy singing second half? Worst atmosphere ever. There’s two of us only giving it a go.

We desperately need a proper CM, we need someone else to provide attacking intent.

We're having to play two DMs due to Pogba lack of positional sense but when our full backs offer little going forward it means we only attack with 4 players.

same crap, different day. Boring uninspiring football. Positive is we are winning i guess
I don't get this, the mentality and approach today is a world of difference from the one United took into the game against Sevilla. The tempo is up and we've played the ball on the ground, actually played quite a few nice 1-2s but the finishing just wasn't there. This isn't the pragmatic zombie stuff we've become accustomed to. Just need to kill them off.

    Pretty drab affair.

Valencia has become useless sadly. He kills most of our attacks and build-up with his pondering of the ball.

Tony Valencia in attack is an absolute mystery these days - seems like he has a mental block about trying anything creative.

That green plus sign for the assist made me think for a minute Matic was carrying a knock

That was alright. Nothing spectacular, but at least there was enough attacking intent to call it a decent half.

Defenders not bringing the ball forward, no running with purpose, jogging everywhere and taking an age to do it.

Until we get some tempo in our play we will never get better.

Anyone who doesn’t want Valencia replaced this summer is absolutely mental.
I’d replace Shaw / young first.

Fair enough with the ball at his feet Valencia shits himself. However running onto it I have full confidence with him. He’s powerful and causes lots of problems.

Our left back strength is just shocking. Actually it’s unacceptable. We have Ashley Young there and he’s doing a decent job, Luke Shaw who is actually just shocking really, let’s be honest, I think 40-60m spent there will be more beneficial than any other signing whatsoever

Good to get that goal. Another one should do it.

He did used to get up and down though. He used to be a box to box beast. Now though he has no interest in attacking or taking any sort of risks. Think the captaincy probably doesn’t help. Probably trying too hard to set an example and not do anything wrong

Heard the home fans on the telly for the first time this season. A good rendition of Spirit in the sky. Away fans strangely silent.

Uhm, no. We've seen 5 forward passes, a couple of one-twos and plenty of crosses from the wings. Nothing to write home about. If anything, they've grown more into the game with time.

Great goal, very, very poor performance. Zero intensity or urgency.

Hands down Lukaku is our best player not just today but in this team in general. The only player that fights for everything and never hides even when he's not having a good game, saved us a lot.

Valencia is by far our worst player again followed shortly by Scott. Our midfield is non existent but Brighton is so poor to exploit it.

Im more impressed with the home support. Very loud, good to hear, especially showing support to the manager.

I can’t help but say, Surely this is Valencias last season as 1st choice RB. He cant cross and his positional awareness is sometimes terrible. He constantly goes backwards and must be so predictable to play against. A likeable guy but I’m certain a RB will be JMs priority in the summer.

Poor half of football. It's important we win, but it's so slow, we have so little threat.
