Yeah police just said 4 people taken to hospital but no deceased aside from the attacker.

Shooter shot herself inside the building and was the only shooter.

Horrible to think you could just be having another day at work and this can happen.

At least if it's media they can influence what happens from now, for good for once.

I'm sorry but as long as they refuse to do anything, anything at all to stop this and continue to love their precious guns, I can't give one iota of feck towards Americans when this happens.

I no longer want to visit the place and that's a shame because there are I'm sure millions of wonderful citizens and amazing places to see and eat and drink and enjoy but I just don't any longer. Between the gun issue and idiots electing Trump and every terrible thing he does, says and is I wish we'd build a wall for them but all around the country and keep them in like Escape from New York/Los Angeles.

Much like when people say 'oh I don't want to visit Paris because terrorism' and you think you can't let a select few stop you from living your lives but there are millions upon millions of Americans that love their guns far too much and also voted for Trump and believe in what he is doing. Too many to ignore them.

So desensitized to yet another shooting that I can't care anymore.

might have been stray bullets
Yeah but hurting innocents reduces the sympathy for me.

Edit: It's a bit like the guy who has flipped and decides to commit suicide. Massive sympathy for that. He tries to take his wife or kids with him that sympathy disappears.

Why shoot 2 others? I know that some people who suffer from domestic violence reach their wits end but harming people outside the relationship destroys all sympathy IMHO.
I could be wrong but the domestic violence is because she targeted her boyfriend not because she might be a victim of domestic violence.

Jesus Christ. Why are there so many lunatics?
The question is really how are they able to buy guns? Mental. In a country where you cant drink til your 21 but can buy a machine gun even if youre schizophrenic. America needs to take a good look at itself.

When everyone can own a gun, everything can happen
Every country has Lunatics most just don't make it so easy for them to possess guns.
Lunatics are generally alright. It's lunatics with firearms that are the common denominator of this thread.

While i agree that that is indeed the biggest factor, we can't be blind or ignore other factors like mental state of these people when more than 90% of them are on some kind of prescribed psychological state altering meds.

If guns were the only factor, we'd see a whole lot more random knife attacks or lunatics plowing innocent people down with their cars over here.

America does not only have a gun problem but it also very clearly has a mental state/medicine problem. They are taking way too many pills over there, the pharmaceutical industry are one of the main culprits in this aswell imo, not only the NRA. And that gets overlooked a bit.

No. That logic doesn't hold true at all. The fact that guns can kill at range allows people to kill in a far more impersonal way. There's less of a mental barrier to going on a killing spree than there would be if you had to go out and stab a bunch of people. Plus you have a method for instantaneous painless suicide at the end of it all. Not an option when you've just run over someone in your car.

Re mental illness, there's zero evidence that America has uniquely high rates of mental illness. They do tend to over-medicate but to infer from that these drugs randomly turn people into homicidal maniacs is a massive leap of faith.
