Really? It's going to be nothing more than the occasional filler in my daily routine.
It's a very handy timepass to be fair, plus the quality of cricket is usually good plus the fantasy draft is good.

Timepass? Nightmare for RCB supporters.

FFS - feel so alienated. Can't handle the lack of continuity tbh.
Yeah can't help but feel the same here. IPL is a huge tournament but still haven't gotten into it.

Still I'll give it another crack this year.

Not one team really stands out as a strong favorite this year. At least from that aspect, the teams are alright.

@crappycraperson It was gambhir's decision. He wanted to move back to Delhi and asked KKR not to bid for him.
Interesting, never read this. What would have happened if others had bid for him and won the auction? I mean did he inform all other teams too as he wanted to move to Delhi.

No idea. The KKR management just clarified why they didn't bid for him. Dunno what his arrangement was(if any) with other teams. Tbf, KKR didn't specifically mention DD, just said they'd been asked not to bid as he wanted a different challenge.

Oh makes sense. He was there for nearly 6 years isn't it.

I think Gambhir chose this after KKR told him they wont be retaining him.

The CEO said they wanted to use RTM and Gambhir said no to that.

Possible. The CEO talked of gambhir asking them not to bid or use RTM though.

Some replacements btw

Hales in for SRH in place of Warner
Tom Curran in for KKR in place of Starc
That SA keeper in for RR in place of Smith.

Did y'all have to make a new account from last year? Not sure if the website has forgotten my details or if I have.

Ah the great DD of 2008... been horseshit since, if memory serves me correct.
Being from Delhi it always hurt how good we used to be only to sell ab devilliers, gambhir, dhawan, sehwag. After a long time , really like the dd squad, balanced . Although rabada would be a huge loss

Have to thank them for selling ABD. We had Kohli, ABD, Gayle and matches were worth watching just to see them play.

Shame Gayle is old and released now.

New account. It doesn't seem to recognise last year's account.

Their team is well equipped to win IPL 2008 version not 2018.

The rest of the IPL doesn't know what's coming..

In all seriousness think csk more balanced than the rest. Likes of Raina past it but I think will still be good for the IPL. Also a few players who will surprise I think - billings, shorey, wood.

What's your prediction?

Mumbai, Delhi, RCB are three of my choices too.

Would've gone with SRH but without Warner their batting looks shit. RR are a very tempting option. I think purely on overseas player basis they've got a backbone of Stokes, Buttler, Archer and D'Arcy Short which might be the best set of overseas player in a team. I think I'd go with KKR, if the likes of Russell and Lynn can stay fit, they've got very good indian batters like Uthappa, Karthik, Shubnam Gill(next VK :drool) so that's my choice. KKR to the fourth SF.
