This match highlights Mourinho’s decline - think back to Anfield 2014 when Chelsea basically denied Liverpool the league. Today, and to use JM’s words from that day, United are the clowns.

Right? It's shocking to see so much said about the players when these exact players have been seen performing way better in inferior teams. It's not like we didn't have enough transfer seasons as well. Why did we buy Sanchez for example? Especially when we have 2 perfectly good players in that position. Disastrous half of football. In attack, midfield and defense, even De Gea made a massive mistake before the 2-0. Some people will claim that you parked the bus, but it is not true. You didn´t play with a low block, tried to win the ball high up the pitch and even managed to do so a few times. Just the offensive transition was absolutely horrendous, which resulted in City recycling the ball very easily. So they were always in control and outplayed you on their way to the box. Maybe it would have been better to play like at Anfield where you just stayed deep with 7-8 players and tried to close the spaces completely.
