Can' even have a shot on target or string a few pass together. What a joke? Pogba is player for PSG, Barcelona, City. Such a luxurious players.

We are not good enough on the ball or capable enough of playing when pressed high.
Pogba is again overplaying it. Our pressing I completely disjointed and FFS get in a world class defender to be Bailly's partner, we cannot persist with smalling and Jones.
Full back are needs to addressed too.
I am not really frustrated tonight because the title was already decided long back!

    Pathetic performance.
Basically a training match for City, brushing us aside with ease and De Bryne/Aguero not even involved.
0 shots on target for us,terrible but not surprising.

How do you expect them to be good at this when they are not used to playing like that? Players are not robots.

This match basically explains why Jose always pack the bus against Pep. Anytime he tries to go head-on against him, he loses. Even if Jose had a better team, he has to pack the bus if he wants to win against Pep.
We were playing well up until two feck ups. We weren't sitting back and tried to play through the middle.
That was Jose approach, now its gone to shit thanks to our defence.
This tells us more about the players than Jose imo. Its a carbon copy of Spurs away.
Jose wanting 4 more defenders (according to Castle) should make sense now

Aguero to come on at half time and get a hatrick.

Lukaku to score a goal in the last minute.

City to give us a guard of honuor as we walk of the pitch for getting a consolation.

Will be interesting to see how all the Jose fanboys defend this game in the Jose Mourinho Assessment's thread.

He is a fecking dinosaur. We are going no where with him here and another £300m will give us nothing but the same crap.

We're a joke of a club. Being completely embarrassed.

City are taking the piss out of us. Should be 5-0 only for poor finishing. Utterly disgusted.

You can tell why Mourinho has such a bad record vs Pep, his sides play right in his hands, just drop off and let them do what they want, a world of difference from what Liverpool did
It's a really strange one. Klopp seems to know what to do and has laid down the blueprint to at least give them a game. How Jose can watch that and set them up like this I have no idea. A complete lack of humility that his approach has failed time and time against pep in different leagues and across multiple competitions

Humiliating, spineless, weak, lethargic, apathetic training exercise. A discredit to the club in all honesty. At least get hammered with some semblance of pretending to care about the fans that came to sit among their biggest rivals to get humiliated. Not a single player on the pitch gave a half worthy of the club.

I'd rather play Rojo or Lindelof yes, every day of the week. If you think Smalling is better than I don't know what to say..
I miss Blind because although he can be caught for pace, at lease he can read the game. Our defence as it is couldn't read a magazine. Do we really not have someone in the U18s who is better. hah a blind giraffe would be better. awful defence, nothing in midfield, sanchez and lukaku anonymous. how the hell are we second in the league?

This is the first time I have started to question Mourinho. What has he been training these players all week for? They don't look like they have any clue what they are meant to do. The players don't even look up for it. This has to be on Mourinho surely? Some of the players are not good enough and he selects them. Smalling and Bailly have been shocking.

Wonder if Jose still feels like we are in control of the game. I mean we’ve hardly had the ball. He must be extatic.

This really does highlight how far behind them we are in every department. Our players are far inferior, we don't have any kind of game plan and our mercenaries care less than their mercenaries. Sacking Mourinho isn't the solution for sure but he really needs to up his game. This city side is going to dominate for quite sometime now. Our squad needs major additions as we lack full backs, midfield and attacking wingers. Also if this is what Pogba is going to offer us in the derby, he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the first team.

Tactically outclassed today. Not a bad lineup or team, but we are just not doing things together well enough. They play much better as a team compared to us and it hurt a lot to watch.

You guys might be right, but overall our team lacks some players. I would look at our players first.
This setup for him has never worked v pep but always plays it.. He has nothing to loose and should go full press v them ..

The sad part is that City looked shaky at the start and were there for the taking..
Pogba needs to leave and Sanchez needs to be benched. . You can buy all the players but we will play like this away v any good team under Mourinho..

Not sure the refs having the best game here. Booked Lukaku and Herrera for the same tackles City do essentially every turnover.
This a million percent. Every ime City lose the ball their 1st instint is to foul. We get booked for it but it's fine if City do it. Honestly how refs cannot pick up on Peps tactics is a joke. But then again they all thick cnuts who are happy to please the masses.

2 yellows for us for tripping, Sane doesnt even get a warning..
Another sneaky and effective tactic from Guardiola, he has been employing it since his Barca days, he will always have a team of physically weaker or softer looking players, who will take turns to tactically foul opponents to stop any momentum. And the refs fall for it all over the world.

Individuals has been shite but all those who want absolve Mourinho of any responsibility are kidding themselves. 2 years and there is no sign of any style of play developing, hoof and hope. But heh, lets blame Smalling, Young and co for how appalling we are.

Probably going right against the tide here but I firmly believe the reason why we are so feckin shit is down to the Full backs and smalling. Two decent full backs would certainly allow some of our attacking players to stay up the pitch more. If Smalling never pulled on a Utd shirt after this weekend, I would not give a single shit

I’m baffled that anyone could possibly think we can close this gap in quality between these two sides over one summer and if Mourinho can’t win trophies then he is rather pointless as the football is dire.

Great watch this one. Did anyone think it'd be different though?

Doing a lot of high pressing quite strangely, which means we're being picked off further down the pitch. Would have thought it'd be more of a double bus park mission

In fairness though, they can win the title today. We can only put it off for a week. That's hardly a like for like motivation.

Yes agreed. Kompany and Otamendi are back there passing the ball back and forth while getting pressed by Lukaku and they both more than capable of moving the ball forward when needed. Chris can't do that and it hurts everyone else. We are out there playing with 1 man down. You have to be a moron not to see it.

Cunning plan from Utd. Get City's confidence up for their game against Liverpool. Job pretty much done.
This’ll do them the world of good - annoyingly. Basically replicating what that need to do on Tuesday, with the help of the fans too.

Pathetic. I feel sick, seriously. That was like watching a team of Burnley's calibre going to the Etihad. In fact, it was 10 x worse than that coz Burnley would at least have shown fire in their belly and looked like they cared during that 45mins.

Pep is 10 x the manager Mourinho is, unfortunately. Smug, annoying, self-righteous prck of a bloke but 10 x the manager Jose is. Mourinho isn't about this life anymore, sadly. He's just a regular 'good' manager now.

Half our team could disappear overnight and I wouldn't give them a second thought. There are about 5-6 players in our entire squad that I genuinely have affection and respect for.

It’s going to end without us having a shot on target again in a big away game isn’t it. TBH it what I expected

I just don't know any more.

If they can't be bothered to even try, then why should I bother investing time and emotion in them?

I just want it to look like they care.

Smalling is a completely liability at corners(in fairness the whole team is). We have players who are tall but who are all prone to lose concentration at any moment.

Its clear that the likes of Smalling just have to go. Never up for it in the biggest matches.

Individual errors again undoing us. We were fine until we conceded another soft corner. Second goal a mistake from De Gea with a piss poor goal kick.

Smalling of course just lets David Silva walk by him.

Valencia and Young are decent full backs when we play an average team and we're on top, they are solid against those teams. But we need better players against better teams, or a way to make sure we're on top against better teams.

Unfortunately that second option feels miles away under Mourinho.

I've spent the last 10 minutes reading the comments on here rather than watch this shite. That shows how bad things have got. Mourino needs to go along with at least 6 others that are playing today.
same, have it on in the background
