Sky: Spurs appeal to FA to award the second goal against Stoke City to Harry Kane | Spurs win appeal

Spurs are not a "big club" at this point in time and this clearly demonstrates that. How small time can you get?

EDIT: ^ They haven't won anything in 50 years, they may be a part of the "top 5" (not top 6 anymore as arsenal dont even compare to the other 5 now), as they are a very good side atm, but there are only 5 clubs in england i regard as "big clubs", and they are the other "top 6" teams.
What a load of b@llocks

They should give it to him and then put every deflected goal he’s ever scored down as an own goal.

The FA should come out and say ok he touched it but he was offside so rescind the goal and take 2 points away from Spurs.

If Kane is claiming it so am I, I was the far end of the channel on the west coast of Ireland and not playing but I easily got as much on that ball as Harry, we should all make a claim.
Settle down mate, I saw it enter the net before it crossed the line via satellite. If anything the goal is mine

It’s ridiculous that they’re bothering to challenge the goal but from the video it does look like Kane got a very, very slight touch on it.

How does Eriksen feel about this?

That's exactly what I was thinking.
If my club said that they are going to appeal to the authorities to ensure that the fruits of my hard work are credited to somebody else, I would not be happy.

If it was Wanyama on the end of a Kane cross nobody would give a shite. It does seem very small-time but then for a team who hasn't won a major trophy in 27 years (league cup doesn't count) these things become more important.

Indeed.

I think a lot of people are blowing this out of all proportion . Eriksen and Kane were laughing about it after the game, again I’m not overly impressed by the whole episode. It’s all a bit of a farce if you ask me.

Hope FA reject Kane's appeal and he scores a hatrick on weekend to get rid of his frustration.

Now every team would petition goals to be awarded, just in case it gets awarded. That would be fun

Pathetic from Kane, from the videos I saw he was nowhere near the ball.

Kane swearing on his daughter, Spurs appealing, Salah getting pissed off. What a time to be alive.

Ridiculous. There’s video evidence that he didn’t touch it.

It doesn’t look like he touched it to me..is it just me but how can you conclusively say he got a touch or maybe I’m missing an angle.

PS, ‘Player testimony?’ -Harry
- ‘it’s mine. Honest.’

Not the most reliable witness.

This must be the most pointless controversy in the history of football.

PL committee probably did not want England's star boy to look like a complete fool in a WC year

Yep. If they actually reviewed the footage they would at best get an inconclusive answer. Most likely, they would have concluded that he was nowhere near it.

Harry Kane has basically been gifted a goal because he asked.

I haven't followed this at all, did Kane really score?
If there was any contact, it didn't even slightly change the direction or spin of the ball. So basically, might have nicked his shirt but not really. Gifted a free goal
