Sky Sports reporting that Spurs have appealed to the FA asking them to award the second goal against stoke city, credited to Christian Eriksen, to be awarded instead to Harry Kane.

I suppose they want to help him get the golden boot but it’s a bit kiddish if you ask me

Was it his goal? I didn't see the goal more than once, which was in the short game highlight.

Hard to say if he got a touch. Didn’t take any notable deflection as far as I saw

Jesus has he no shame? Get a grip.

They should be appealing to the FA to always give them a 3 goal advantage before every match. That way they may finally win something relevant.

Can we award all our goals to Lukaku? 63 goals baby, who's holding the golden boot now !?

He looked nowhere near it and he even ducked under the ball to dupe the goalie from the camera angle behind the goal.

Do they really care that much about Kane winning the top goal scorer ?

Wow, that’s truly pathetic. Only videos can determine the goal and it doesn’t show a deflection, not even a slight one. Good luck.. what a small time club they are.

What a joke they are. And Harry Kane is a selfish player as well. Does it matter who the goal is awarded to as long as its a goal? I hope Salah beats him to the golden boot because that's a pathetic appeal to make.

He swore on his daughter's life. Here's the goal from a few angles:

Looking at that, there’s no way they can give it to him. It’s not a case of “oh go on then it’s not going to hurt anyone”, it’s unfair on Salah.

How does Eriksen feel about this?

He probably doesn't care. With this appeal I'm starting to think they consider Kane winning the golden boot a trophy on its own. There's no other reason for such an appeal.

Nice to see Spurs concentrating on the big picture

Honestly it's pathetic

“There are a lot of arguments going on around here,” Eriksen said afterwards.

“I think Harry, if he touched it, he touched it and it's his goal. How he celebrated, he had the feeling he touched the ball.”
Class act.
Maybe someone should sit Kane down and explain to him that people are sometimes wrong. Even if they fully believe they're not.
Or tell him to cop on.

Doesn't touch him. They should take away 2 goals for this frivolous appeal, see how he feels then.

Perfect.

Surely they won't cave in and grant him the goal based on this video. The evidence is at best inconclusive.

Salah would be furious, as would the Liverpool fans come to think of it... Let's give the goal to Kane then!

Just imagine the reaction if Real did this for Ronaldo
Not Real but Marca once flat out lied that Pepe didn't get the clear last touch of a goal so Ronaldo could claim some land mark milestone and move ahead of Messi in the charts.
Just said nope, didn't happen.

Getting your club to appeal for a goal you blatantly didn't touch, the ultimate in stat padding

If Kane is claiming it so am I, I was the far end of the channel on the west coast of Ireland and not playing but I easily got as much on that ball as Harry, we should all make a claim.

Ridiculous. Whether Kane brushed it with his shoulder or hair wouldn't matter, as the goal would have still gone in the net. Makes Kane look like a spoilt child, with his parents Spurs indulging him. Wonder what Ericksen thinks of this nonsense.
