They remind me of Biesla's Chile (who should have beaten Spain in their group game) in 2010.

Furious and ferocious in everything. Brilliant.

Very bad game from Germany, only Kroos and Kimmich can be happy with their performances. Boateng really poor and stupid decisions for 90 minutes, that awful shot at the end summed him up completely. At fault for the goal as well

Yeah Low, let's leave Sane at home because god forbid, he'll actually take his chance and start shining for Germany at the WC.

Great game. Loved Chicharito's build up play for the goal and the Keeper's save which pushed the German shot on the bar.

With the exception of Plattenhardt and Neuer, this was the lineup that played great football against Spain in March. What happened?

Brilliant win Mexico.

This World Cup has been the perfect antidote to forget the season gone by. Remember how fun football can be

I was thinking that as well, the pressing style worked superb for them

Said it pre match but anyone else surprised Ochoa has never made a good career in europe. Clean sheets in back-to-back world cups against Brazil and Germany now and he had excellent handling on the long range shots, didn't parry any.

Except from Brazil in 2006 every defending world champion failed to make it past the group stage since 1998. Can Germany be next?

Mexico are a dark horse. They play really well together and attack fast on the break. Germany had problems defending the whole 90 minutes and were dominated the first 45.

Gosh we could do with a backup striker like that Mexico no.14..... think Lozano will be one of the breakout stars this world cup, impressed by his first touch and control the most.

Don't think so, they always have some exciting moments at the WC and usually get out of the group but always lose in the first knockout round.

Brazil vs Germany in the next round?

Mexico were absolutely terrible at the final pass in those counters, so frustrating to watch. Especially Chicharito who had a great game otherwise.

Not really. Kimmich was destroyed by Lozano that game and was nowhere to be seen for the goal (why was ozil the furthest player back?). Reus did well as a sub IMO, but the tactics were shambolic from the start and then just all out attack go get back in and did nothing to stop the counter. 100% on Loew.
