So if I'm negative about the negativity, that means I'm guilty of the same thing I'm complaining about?

And I'm not saying the game is shit, I was just complaining about the ref allowing them to use illegal means to stop Sweden's major playmaker, so I don't see how you can try to paint me as hypocritical.
Up until the Sweden goal, the game had been poor. Awful quality, niggly challenges and just very dull to watch. That performance spawns negative comments about the quality of the match, which were warranted.

That's why there was an air of negativity in the thread. Did it deserve people being called miserable c**ts? I don't think so.

Everyone must have been a miserable cnut then because all across social media everyone was saying what a terrible game it was.

2000 posts and you think saying "miserable cnuts" is strongly worded? You might be in the wrong forum. Either that or you should make a thread voicing your concern about its casual usage on here.

And this game has had a fair amount of chances. I was far more bored watching Spain - Russia, for example.

Did I say I thought it was too strongly worded? No.

What I'm getting at is I don't agree folk should be labelled miserable cnuts when they're being negative about an awful game - it's totally expected it'll attract negative comments.

Miserable cnuts are the ones who were complaining during Spain v Portugal, or the 2nd half of Japan v Belgium.

Spain v Russia will be shown in future for torture methods, so we agree there.

This Sweden team reminds me of Leicester City when they won the PL.
Leicester were exciting and genuinely played the best football in the league that season. Sweden don't have a Vardy, a Mahrez and a Kante

If it's not too strongly worded then I don't get the objection. It's just a way for me to express that I think people are being overly negative about this match.

Anyway, let's leave it at us agreeing about Spain v Russia. :)

If Switzerland manage to get a goal now, can we directly skip to penalties ?

Swedes don't have the "star" names. Vardy, Kante and Mahrez were nobody's before they won the league. They were never really an exciting team. Just very good functional team who ran their socks off without caring much about the style of football.

So why can't VAR tell the referee that this should be a goal kick? No time would be wasted because they're making a sub anyway. Stupid.

Not stupid, because there a clear rules where it will be used.

It is stupid. We have technology where we can see that the wrong decision was made and we have a bunch of officials sitting staring at a TV screen seeing the wrong decision. All they have to do is say in his ear "change that to a goal kick". Literally no time is wasted either because it isn't an opinion call where the referee has to go and watch it for himself.
