So fecking gassed!!!

Not the best performance, but was a tricky game where Colombia sat back and we never looked like breaking them down.

Sweden will prove trickier as I think they're more organised defensively. Against teams that sit back we struggle.

You just know they'll still lose on penalties to Sweden in the next round, after supposedly breaking the "curse".
Nah, they'll probably play well and beat them, then lose to Russia on pens in the SF with all sorts of accusations flying.

Brilliant for the group.

They will be flying for Sweden game. Think they will slaughter them.
We've not created much all tournament and we've relied on set pieces and penalties.

The Swedes are good at defending set pieces and good at winning them too.

They'll sit back and we'll do absolutely nothing with the ball.

Plus our record against Sweden is fecking shocking, we beat them at Euro 2012 but that's it isn't it recently?

Seem to remember a friendly loss to them around 1999-2000. Then we drew with them at WC2002 and the 4-4 with THAT Zlatan goal. Drew 2-2 in 2006 too.

Destined for more penalties. We can't win two in a row can we?

Pickford sounded like he said "Can I have a dump" after that interview.

I hope so! Genuinely so chuffed for the squad. I know some people will still try to pick holes and criticise but I really like this squad. I don't care who plays for who, nobody is really a dick and I'm generally enjoying them play. Great stuff.

Look at the reaction of the three in the studio! I'm sure something else to criticise for some :D

Watch Jamie Vardy's wife whore all the attention. He takes pens for his club, is the back-up striker yet didn't step up....

Now time to get the Swedish monkey off our backs.

Very happy for England to get that off their back and progress. Fantastic drama in the shootout and big balls/credit to Dier. Ospina could have done better, but fair play to Dier.

Wow!

We only ever win penalty shootouts when the football is on ITV.

Any complaints about pickford almost being at the edge of the 6 yard box for his save?

England seem to have a really good balance. They have plenty of pace up front and plenty of goals (on paper anyway) They have areal chance, imo

England looked so horribly shaken in that first half of extra time. A better team would have smelt blood, gone for the kill and would have won in extra time. They squeezed past a team without their best player and didn’t look particularly threatening. England’s first half against Tunisia is a distant memory.

They should get to the semi (it’d be embarrassing if they didn’t to be honest at this point) where I think they’ll meet a very decent Croatian outfit.
