Think they will go for a winger. Good news for us - the best options are available from Liverpool - Salah and Mane. Obviously can't get Salah at the moment, but Mane is a real possibility, he didn't even rule out a future transfer recently.
You do realize that Hazard has been looking begging for this move for years. He hasn't even signed a new deal with his current deal set to expire in 2019.
He could be available for 100 million or less

My God it'd be magnificent if Ronaldo dumps new look Madrid out of the Champions League next season

Constantly at the STD clinic.
He has whored himself out to us when he wanted a bigger contract, now he is moving and there's nothing. Nada.
The proof is in the pudding, he never had any intention to ever rejoin us and the lingering regret I'm seeing today comes from years of believing Ronaldo would only come to Utd if he were to leave Madrid. Which have proven to be false.
Are you saying he regrets leaving us?

Also you need to realize this is professional football. Everyone will do what is best for their club and career. You are talking about it like some ex girlfriend. If the business is right, it will happen. If not, it won't.

Hazard too. But I don't think Madrid will be content with 1 signing after losing Ronaldo. They will probably get atleast 2 forwards and a GK of course.

The premier league will be raided, that's most likely.

Real will struggle to replace his 40+ Goals tally unless they sign Neymar or Mbappe. Hazard isn't going to help them get anywhere near that number as i see and Bale isn't fit most of the time. Without CR, Real looks like a Spain NT, with lots of passing and no one significant to put the ball on the back of the net. Not to mention how influential CR is for them in the big games.

Agreed. I guess they would also sign a ST like Lewandowski, Cavani, Icardi or Werner IF they get Hazard.

I think they will go for Neymar / Mbappe
A move for Mbappe would be pure genius IMO, promise him his Idol's #7 shirt and pay PSG 200 million plus add ons.
It my look like a lot of money but after 15 years, we will all be looking back to the purchase and will be calling it the bargain of the century, just like we are now

Some of the posts on this thread are surprising. This man has defied the odds and been a driving force for Real in last 2 CL wins and does not even slightly look like he is done. People have been saying his form will fall off a cliff for 3 years now and it hasn't happened.
And people seem to think it is a bad deal for Juventus who are doing good in CL, but just about struggling to get over the line. And that is apart from kids learning from his motivation levels and all such stuff.
Juventus are not a poor club struggling to find money.

For any player in the world, losing 20 goals a season would be "falling of a cliff", problem here is that we're talking about a guy capable of hitting 50 or even 60 goals a season, him on a cliff is still better than 99% of the players in peak form.

Even if he loses 10/15 goals in the next 3 years, he's still an improvement over Higuain for Juve.

Madrid not signing Mbappe last summer was an incredibly stupid move.

No, the fans regret.
Its years of is this the summer he returns? Should we spend 150m on a 29/30/31/32/33 year old player etc etc and now he's joining Juve its confused some fans. Like its going against the script.
Just don't use us for contract renewals only to go elsewhere when you actually move.
He used the love of Utd fans, the imagery of returning to club to justify the ridiculous notion of leaving a world class side to join us in our worst period for 30 years.
He told us keeping him in 07 was slavery, He told us after Rome he was staying..leaves weeks later.
Used us to leverage money from Madrid every summer since 09..leaves for Juve.
Ronaldo has been a dick towards Utd for an astonishingly long time if you think about it.

Ok, but even at £50 a shirt, which not all fans pay thanks to cheaper sites, 10% of that is £5. That's about what United will make per shirt sale. In order to make up the 100m fee United would have to pay, they'd have to gain an additional 20 million shirt sales, at £50 a piece, from people who are just Ronaldo fans. That's just not going to happen.
Hmm I don't think the club will gain much from shirt sales as mentioned. However, it will give us much more bargaining power for whatever sponsors we might want to go for in the future.

lol, those aren't the real odds. The market just has no liquidity so only rubbishy odds are available. However, transfering to Juve has been matched at 1.1 so at least some of the market thinks it's likely.
What are you on about? They are the odds in the exchange as I said. In the bookies the odds are close as well. You missed my point.

Juventus are already feeling the Cristiano Ronaldo effect with share prices in the club jumping almost 10 per cent on Thursday.

I think this will be the year Ronaldo realises he ia too old to play games with Madrid. They wont be offering him a new contract, no club is going to pay him the money he wants and the fee Real will be asking. Next season he will still be at Madrid. Shows over Ronaldo.

We all love United
I wonder how are the Juventus fans are feeling right now. They are about to get one of the best two players in the world who is a superstar and still so capable of contributing so much to their team. I know how excited i would feel right now if he's moving to United instead. Wow what a signing for the Turin club

Any Juve fans here care to share your mood now?

So he has basically started playing fewer games. His scoring ratio has not changed dramatically, it’s still pretty much a goal per game.

Still feel like for €100m we should be in on this, just hope to God we have something else special lined up for ourselves in the coming weeks because a goal per game player for €100m today is ludicrous business.

He has always respected man united and their fans. More so than Madrid.

This is one of those transfers where I wish we had been snubbed because given our season last year and our lack of business thus far this summer it's utterly baffling why we're not getting involved in this I mean what the actual feck is Woodward doing at the moment?

Can't believe Juventus are breaking the bank on a 33 year old. They clearly don't care about their youth players.

We already have Martial, Rashford and Sanchez who play in the same position as him unless we're going to move to a 2 up front formation. We really need someone who is good on the right.

So he’s had a bad season then?

He scored 16 in 22 then ended the season on 44 including goals against Barce, Ath Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Spurs, Dortmund, PSG, Bayern and Juve. He’s basically scored in almost every big game of the season except the final.
Whichever way you dress it up, he was very poor from August - Jan.

I am gutted we aren’t in for him.
I was too. But after having thought about it I realised that we need to spend our transfer budget elsewhere. We will become a better all around team for it. If can sign LB and RW and a back up striker I won't care what other teams do. I'll be over the moon with our transfer business.

It was never going to happen. He doesn’t see eye to eye with Mourinho and the rigors of the PL at his age are harmful to his longevity.

Not to mention we signed Sanchez literally 6 months ago.

He's been busy extending Fellaini's contract and signing Lee Grant.

Our current adidas-deal doesn't go out until 2025. As for other deals, Woodward can sneeze them up for breakfast regardless of if we have Ronaldo or not.

Since when Ronaldo plays as a left winger these days ? He has been a second striker for Madrid for years now.

True that. But I won't worry about our commercial department at all, since I am sure Woodward and co. know exactly how to get the most out of any commercial deals. Let's see what happens with the Ronaldo deal - find it strange that we are not mentioned at all.

He traditionally plays left-wing and even as second striker drifts over to the left. Plus under Mourinho we mainly play 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3, Ronaldo would take a starting place from one of those players which is what many have been at Sanchez for doing to Martial and Rashford.

Ronaldo had stopped playing your traditional left winger position since he lost his pace and dribbling ability to take on players. He has been playing as a second striker with Benzema in diamond formation for Madrid these last 5 years.
