Massive upgrade over Karius and Mignolet. Has a good beard. Brazil national team picks him above Ederson for whatever that's worth (though I never put toooo much stock into how national team managers pick their players).
IMO if he goes to Liverpool I'd have him on the tier of goalkeepers below De Gea in the league. Probably competing with Ederson for the 2nd best keeper in the league IMO.

In fairness I think klopp has sold about 250m worth of players which is a little in city like... but the Allison deal would take him close to 400m spending...
I'm guessing that's well within their ffp limits

The best goalkeeper of Serie A last year for me and one of the best in Europe for sure, I'm not sure if spending THAT much on a keeper is a wise choice but anyway you would get a damn solid player

Not only is Allison 'up there' in the top bracket but in 17/18 he pretty much had a bracket on his own. The habit of rating players without semiregularly watching them is disturbing. Liverpool pretty much got the best keeper in the PL now but if any of you watched Roma last season and disagrees I'm here for a discussion.

This is Salah all over - after a season the english will boast how they 'discovered' Allison when the knowledgeable part of the football world already knew and rated him

I think Salah, Naby Keita, Shaqiri, Fabinho, Mane, etc were cheaper than 50m. IMO Liverpool have spend Coutinho's money wisely to balance their team.

I hope they don't sign Allison because he is the best GK in the Italian league.

A goalie to LFC is like a good CB or CDM to Arsenal, fairly important.

The way the market is now it's pretty difficult to put a finger on what's value and what's overpriced- so it's probably best for a team to just get what they need, and if that means paying more, like VVD then so be it.

People saying Klopp going the City route, are obviously hanging their rods out hoping for a bite...LFC have two players in their side 50million+ VVD and Keita.

Klopp since arriving has around a net spend of 70 million according to anfield-online, whilst, Coutinho makes a lot of that, who cares, he was a LFC player.

Back to Alisson, i haven't a clue really how good he is, what i know is LFC need a good goalie, and Butland would cost 30-35 mill (probs), Pickford 50mill plus probs with the WC hype...It's hard to find alternatives....
