Anyone know if Kamara is likely to start for Fulham? 4.5m striker could be decent.
He didn't start many games in the Championship last season and if they do land Mitrovic that will solve the conundrum. I used Twitter to ask Fulham fans who they thought would start out of Bettinelli and Fabri too but no word back yet - either of those is a decent pick for the price.

Rashford and Jones back early. Rashford in might be a good option. Makes the early United defence shouts riskier though. Not as sure on Bailly now.

Also, is anyone with Tosun considering switching after a poor preseason? It means little but Zaha or Arni look a safer bet at the moment. Everton have good fixtures though.

Can't take too much from preseason generally. Are there any good striker lower than 7?

Sanchez, Eriksen or Mane?
Sane is worth considering now too, with Mahrez being injured he'll surely be nailed for a bit.
Mane a good shout too.
Sanchez is overpriced and it doesn't look like our football is going to have improved, nor do we have enough improved personnel to make it seem like something will be better next season, as things stand. There's a good chance of him getting a goal in the opening games imo, but he's just too expensive.

Eriksen is a risk too, as Kane, Trippier, Alli and Son (?) won't be playing. I might just set and forget him, but thinking about Sane in until they return.

I think Bernardo Silva could be a good luck for the early weeks of the season

My new team (got rid of Alexis after seeing how we're playing at the moment). Thoughts?

Ederson
TAA, Daniels, Cedric
Sane, Salah, Eriksen, Jota
Arnautovic, Aubamayang, Tosun

Subs: Norris, Wan-Bissaka, Stephens, Zanka

Question - who would you captain in the scenario you just gave, De Bruyne, Mane or Arnautovic? All three are far worse captaincy options and all three could easily blank, De Bruyne is notoriously inconsistent across a season. Mane is a good bet but if Liverpool spank a team 5-0 it’s likely Salah would get the bigger haul.
I wonder if Mane might become Liverpool's new penalty taker though this season, after taking the one vs United a few days ago?!

Ozil needs more love. Thinking he will have a tremendous season

Is Tosun going to be the starting forward for Everton? He has a decent return for just a handful of games. Trying to decide between him and Zaha, who I'm not so sure about based on the schedules at least

I can get Mane or Sane, same price. Think I'll hedge my bets and to for the latter as I have no city players currently.

Exactly same conundrum. I think Zaha starts out wide. I assume Tosun will start as Everton don't really have any other option, unless they purchase someone new.

My first year doing this. Seems prices for players fluctuate during the season? If that's the case, it pushes the scale for waiting on Zaha.

Also, I'm loading my team very back heavy. Back 4 or 5. Looking at history, you get 130-150 points on average for some of the top defenders w max max price of £6.5. Yet with forwards there's nowhere near that value on a consistent basis.

Yes prices change on a net transfer basis so their ongoing value matches their demand. Not sure if you can see last years price change history but Salah went through the roof obviously. Iirc he started around 7-8m and ended 10.6m, Mane was more at the beginning.

Ok that is a big jump! But worthwhile I suppose. Good to know.

I'm not touching a Utd player from the off. Way too much up in the air with us right now and not much value either.

I can see the value being in defence again though eventually. Our attack is a joke because of our joke of a boss.

Rightio. I'd really like a caf paid league but I'm too lazy to organise one. I suppose who holds the money might be a problem too.
Pm’d you information on ours. Yes I’d join a paid Caf league too, I’m sure money is something that could be sorted out through a trustworthy admin? I know some leagues use PayPal but it becomes awkward with fees if people send incorrectly and even withholding of funds at times depending on the references used. For that reason but also that the majority of our group know me personally and see my history of paying out we’ve always used direct bank transfer.

Apparently Mahrez might be fit for charity shield. So be careful for those who are bringing in Sane, in case they rotate.

Improvements? Assuming Rojo joins Everton, if not I’ll transfer him out. 5m seems like a bargain for him. I’ll perhaps change Maguire if he doesn’t join us.

Any reply is appreciated!

You can play a 3-4-3, defenders don't score as many points as strikers!
