Hundred percent Usmanov is going to Everton.Damn. While I feel a bit for Arsenal fans, I'll be interested in seeing whether Usmanov will put in some serious investment elsewhere.
Hi K,Hundred percent Usmanov is going to Everton.
Done!Hi K,
This needs a thread of its own. Can you kindly start one, please? I'm just on my way out and will be driving.
He’s going to making a killing off the new Los Angeles stadium deal. That stadium is going to host every major spending event in the next 10 years plus all that prime real estate surrounding it. Also he’s married to a Walton (Walmart) and owns several other sports franchises.Cash flow must be high for Kroenke if thst makes him to take full ownership
Are you really comparing our situation to theirs?Glad someone else are getting screwed as well!
United are obviously better off than Arsenal, but the Glazer ownership is far from ideal. Are you really comparing our situation to theirs?
Since the start of summer 2016, we've spent just shy of £400mil.United are obviously better off than Arsenal, but the Glazer ownership is far from ideal.
They haven't even done that in the last couple of years.Bad news for Arsenal fans. Kroenke is absolutelv indifferent to whether his teams are winning silverware or not so long as they are good enough to keep making him money. Look forward to seeing them finishing 4th for years to come.
Jaap Stam KroenkeSo there’s rumours Stam Kroenke wants to buy Arsenal outright and is going to take a loan out to buy the rest.
Imagine if their grim era since the emirates being built was only the prelude to Kroenke owned era
I’m not even going to correct because I love Jaap too muchJaap Stam Kroenke
Of our own money, not the Glazers. And you can argue that the Glazers have improved sponsorship all you want, but that's not true either. The club is benefiting from an enhanced TV deal and our past successes under Sir Alex. The Glazers only started allowing the club to invest its own money into the team when we finished outside the top four. This year is another indication of how the Glazers intend to slow down spending on the first team to pocket the difference.Since the start of summer 2016, we've spent just shy of £400mil.
No no no, we're a poor, struggling victim of a club.Since the start of summer 2016, we've spent just shy of £400mil.
I’m not even going to correct because I love Jaap too much
Maybe you haven't got the memo, but United are financially far bigger than Arsenal. We could have had Kroenke as our owner and we would have still spent £400m because its self generated.Since the start of summer 2016, we've spent just shy of £400mil.
Even the most ardent Glazier hater will tell you you are talking horseshit there my friend. It's undeniable that the Glaziers have drastically improved our profitability and marketability since their tenure began. Putting us in the same category as Arsenal is ridiculous. There's really no point discussing this with you when that's your opening statement.Of our own money, not the Glazers. So your problem with the Glazers is they hire experts to run the club as opposed to having a crack at it themselves? Carry on.Maybe you haven't got the memo, but United are financially far bigger than Arsenal. We could have had Kroenke as our owner and we would have still spent £400m because its self generated.
Both Kroenke and the Glazers operate in similar ways. They hire other people to run the club because they don't understand the industry and are happy so long as the profits are coming in.
No not at all. I don't have a particular problem with the Glazers. I simply disagreed with this idea that Kroenke is the big bad evil and the Glazers are alright. Whatever you think of them they have to be similar because they operate in similar ways.So your problem with the Glazers is they hire experts to run the club as opposed to having a crack at it themselves? How? Because they hired marketing experts?Even the most ardent Glazier hater will tell you you are talking horseshit there my friend. Wouldn't be surprised if we get a new logo soon or even change the name to "London Arsenal" in order to ´strengthen the brand' or some crap like that. The old, classy Arsenal is completely gone now.
