Am I right, guys? Like if u agree.
You can't like posts on the Caf, Cato. This isn't Facebook, Cato. For fecks sake Vato get your shit together son.

Edit: Vato obviously autocorrected to Cato but I'm going to leave it that way. It's like my grandfather used to say; "your parents hate you and so do I, now pass me the salt". Great man.

These Italian defences are famous for their no-nonsense approach.. stepping on players toes at corners, ruffing them up etc.. I think people have seriously underrated Italian league.

Ronaldo won't find it easy, especially now he's more static and not as fast as he use to be.. he's easy pickings. Add that to not having a Modric or a Ozil putting sitters on a platter for him. I expect his worse season ever.

I believe he has made a mistake going to Juventus.. it was a vanilla move. Either stay at the best club (Real Madrid) or go to a new league and try to make that great (MLS, India etc) or go to a club like Reading (or a team just promoted to The Premiership like Wolves with the Jorge Mendes connection) and try to make them great win their first trophy etc (you'd be hero worshipped much more then Real Madrid fans or Juventus fans will). Juventus was a meh move for me.. no risk involved. Yes he downgraded, but only slightly.

A big name like Cristiano Ronaldo with his pull could be doing great things for a smaller league or a smaller club.. he's wasted at Juventus.. winning the Italian league every year and not really doing much else IMO - it's hardly going to add much to his legacy is it!? not like the above would..

Plus Turin is a dive to live, worse than Manchester and can be just as rainy.. which is why he allegedly didn't like Manchester - the irony !

I don't understand it. Money maybe?

He has a better chance of winning the CL with Juve than Madrid, even if he stayed, the chances of winning a fourth in a row were one in a million. The four favorites for me this season are Barça, City, PSG and Juve. You can bet your ass that one of this four is the winner.
Erm it doesnt work that way, madrid with ronaldo are stronger than juve with ronaldo.

If he went to PSG or Bayern then obviously the same comment would be perfectly valid.

If he went to a club in the PL then he would not be nailed on to win anything.

Frankly, I find it preposterous to suggest that Real Madrid didn't want to keep him.

This would all equally apply to Messi BTW. Except the suggestion that Barcelona wouldn't want to keep him, which would be even more ridiculous.

If Messi ever slouches out of Barcelona claiming he was unloved and they didn't value him or want to keep him, I will treat it with equally short thrift, rest assured.
You must be dreaming Bro. fecking Ronaldo joining City who finished 19 points above their closest rival and he would not be nailed on to win anything? Many Lols mate.

You are comparing a club who openly supported a tax cheat, and another club who wouldn't pay the man what was promised after tax earnings. And you wonder why Messi didn't leave and Ronaldo wants to.

That’s not how probability works. The previous three straight victories don’t change the odds of the next outcome.

Icardi and Immobile scored 29 last year there. The latter couldn't hit a barn door at Dortmund a while ago.

Cristiano will soon find his feet and start firing. He needs couple of games to adjust.

City have never won back-to-back PL titles, plus there are several other clubs who are credible title challengers, all of whom have kept all of their best players. Bit different to Italy.

Would Ronaldo even improve City that much, considering they've got Aguero? Would he score that many more goals than Aguero? Last season Aguero scored 30 in 39, would Ronaldo do much, much better than this? I doubt it.

I think your view of the tax issue is blinkered and naive, to say the least. Both Messi and Ronaldo have paid vast amounts of tax, and are also hugely wealthy. Neither of them has anything to gain by deliberately avoiding tax, and neither of them are directly involved in their own tax affairs. Equally, neither of them really deserves any sympathy regarding their financial circumstances, or life in general. If Ronaldo chooses to leave, it is purely a self-interested decision, not some rational reaction to maltreatment.

The guy is a multi, multi-millionaire, who lives his life in a golden cage, his ego continually pandered to (pretty much the same as Messi). To suggest that he left Real due to poor treatment is laughable.

I really have to say you need to have your head and ego checked.

The man himself said he left due to his perceived poor treatment and due to the tax fiasco. If you refuse to believe his own words and would rather imagine an alternate scenario in your head where he has hidden motives then it's time to write your own Messi X Ronaldo fanfics.

The man joined a team that only finished 4 points ahead the team in second place, bu you think it will be more competitive for him to join a team that finished 19 points ahead of their closest rival. I have no idea how you can dream this up.

I'm done here.

I'm not talking about tossing a coin probabilities. You would be right if this was a game of pure luck, like lotery, but it is not.

No one won back to back CL for 27 years, which de facto means that the title holder probabilities were lower than the rest, for a lot of reasons... Madrid broke that spell, making it three in a row though.

A lot of factors intervene, like other poster said, one of them is complacency, did you see how Madrid players celebrated their victory in the CL final, they were barely smiling, a little bit of an exageration, but you get the point. On the other hand you have very good teams that are "dreaming" of winning the CL, like City or PSG, it's being 22 years since Juve won the last CL. Messi even said that this year the CL was their priority. You have to take all that into account.

He had a slow start last season (aided by the suspension I know). He’s played well in the first two games this season so don’t doubt he’ll be among the goals soon.

I guess when you're 33 years old and a club that regularly wins the league and does well in the CL pays you 30million p/a after tax, a huge signing on fee, and brand new Italian sponsors.

You'd play in Antarctica for that kinda money.

I need to have my ego checked...for stating the bleeding obvious!

The tax situation has nothing to do with Real Madrid. It has little to do with Ronaldo. Obviously, as with Messi, he was poorly advised. If people really believe that one of the most spoilt people on the planet was hounded out of Real Madrid then they need to have a serious reality check.

I'm not sure what you're talking about in the third paragraph, but I simply stated that obviously it would be a bigger challenge to stay with Real Madrid, who have only won 2 titles in 10 years, and attempt to overhaul the 17-point gap between them and Barcelona, than to move to a team that have won 7 consecutive titles, 4 consecutive doubles, and are odds-on to win both again. No-one could possibly disagree with that.

Feck, didn't want Juve. The salivating over Ronaldo is nauseating and we'll have to go through it at least twice this season.

Couldn't be bothered up for the European Player Of The Year award even though a who he played with for the past 6 years, who helped him win a truckload of team and individual honors won it?

Wasn't he a candidate too?

You'd be laughing at United because some players scored goals against them?

He's coming home
Yeah, don't worry, he doesn't really care about United as much as you think. He only bothered to "come home" only when he had to with the away team.

The Juve games will be great, the Ronaldo-factor less so.

It’ll dominant the build up. Been there, done that with Real in 2013.

If they win, well it's Ronaldo

am I doing this right?

by all accounts he doesn't give a flying feck about us
I never claimed he did. We didn't attempt to sign the best striker in the world when he became available. Would we have got him? Unlikely but im still shocked we didnt at least make an attempt

We’re going to have to endure one of those attention-seeking ostentatious non-celebrations, aren’t we? Bleurrghh...
I'd rather he celebrate. After ditching us in his and our prime, and saying he was being treated like a slave here, just go for it. At that point, the fans who still love him will continue to do so regardless.
