All he needs to do to clear it up is issue a statement saying he is happy at the club and wants to see out his contract.that would end the story. But he won’t do that because he wants to keep his options open.
Personally I can’t wait for him to go he has been a complete waste of space, ignorant, arrogant and nowhere near as good as he thinks he is, get rid of this poisonous ego maniac
He already said he loves the club, but nobody cared. Like I said, he's the current scapegoat for a lot of fans.

People are currently angry at Pogba because his fat agent insulted Paul Scholes, because he hinted that he was angry about something (in the same interview he mentioned he loved the club), and because of this recent mistranslated quote. Paul Scholes is not currently working professionally for Manchester United. He's a legend, but his agent having a pop at him has nothing to do with Manchester United the club.

When he mentioned there was something bothering him, he said in that very same interview that he loves the club. So obviously the club itself is not the problem. Many people are getting angry at Pogba like he's trying to force a move and there is literally no evidence of that whatsoever.

This is directly what he said btw

Do you mean what he said, or what the Sky reporters translating and then dubbing what he said? Lost in translation?

One word:

Paul.
Ince.

Ok, that’s two words, but here’s five more:

Paul. Pogba. Is. Not. Paul. Ince.

Ok, that was six. But you get the drifts.

There's been some rumours as far as approaching the end of last season I think. Lukaku, Rashford, Lingard I think had enough of his antics but that's as credible as it is.
Was it from the credible SKY Germany?

This news is so boring now. He either wants to leave or wants a new big contract. Offer him parity to Sanchez and be done or sell him to Barca in the summer. The jury is still out on his performances for us. Massively talented but a lazy player that lacks consistency. This is partly down to Jose not understanding the player he is but also has to come from him. Has too much of an ego.

Which is why he isn't world class. He has world class moments, but world class players do that on a regular basis. To me he looks the part off the pitch, but does not produce enough on it. He used to take loads of shots as well, but isn't as much now.
Funny thing is, Jose is being justified more and more every day with each new revelation. Now we know he was right about Shaw (Shaw confirms this himself); he was largely right about being pissed with Pogba (Pogba and his agent are showing more fans his head isn't right for United); he was right about Martial (Martial has been fecking up his opportunities especially during pre-season) and he was right about the desperate need to reinforce the team during the Summer.

My one issue with Jose is the playing style of the team. If he fixes that, I'll be very happy with him.

Do think Shaw really wanted to say that? Man dropped Iker Casillas, picked a fight with bloody CR7, Ramos etc and managed to convince an entire fanbase that Hazard and Fabregas are not good enough and deserve to be sold.
He managed to convince the Utd fanbase that Martial is not good enough and everyone wants him to be sold despite the fact he was our best player before Mourinho.
Now he's managed to shift all the blame to Woody and he is now the one taking the blame for us being shockingly poor while everyone turns a blind eye on who the actual problem is.
It's Jose fecking Mourinho and that is what he lives for.

Tbf, I agreed with Mou on the Iker matter. Only that though. I don't know too much about the Fabregas matter to really have an opinion.

Jose picks his fights at wrong times with the wrong people.

He picked a fight with CR7 and Ramos in a bad season, then he picked another one with Hazard when he was near relegation places.

When sir Alex had a go at superstar at Manchester united, it was because he had so much credit at the board and the fans that people will back him even when he was not 100% right.

Who knows what Shaw really meant? No one really so we just have to take his word for it unless proven otherwise. And it was not just once he has justified Jose's handling of him. He has said it a few times since pre-season and if I recall well, even last season. And above all, it reflects in his football. So let's give his manager credit there.

And as for all the other players you listed, some of them are mere rumours and players like Hazard and Fabregas have come out to deny those allegations. But let's say they are all true (some are confirmed, I have to say like Casillas), the best managers the game has seen have pulled no punches when it comes to establishing their control in their teams. Even the 'great' Guardiola has had his battles with big egos. He got rid of immensely talented players like Etoo, Deco, Ronaldinho, Toure etc. His battle with Toure is well documented and he is currently showing Sane who is boss at the moment. So, it is not a big deal if Jose has battles with players he believes are not acting in his and the team's best interests.

Fabregas denied this rumour. Hazard also did. People would rather go with the press though.

The Casillas case was confirmed even by Iker himself. And I think the Ramos bit too but most of the others were just rumours.

How do you know what Shaw wanted to say? Did Mourinho pressured him to say that? Despite being portrayed like a devil personified he does have some human and nice touch I guess. Trying to portray absolutely everything like some his evil scheme is really silly to say the least.
As for Woodward he isn't only one to blame but has his fair share of fault.

Precisely. It's amazing how the anti-Jose agendas have turned this into a stick to beat Mourinho with

As far as I can tell, Jose has stayed silent on the matter: no cryptic media bullshit, no messages through his agent, praised him as far as "I cannot be happier with Pogba", even made him captain. Yet it's all Mourinho's fault!

Marcotti speaks really well here.

He is spot on while not even correcting the wrong quotes, he didn't say "next couple of months" in the answer to that question, they are working themselves up with fake quotes. The question was about his future in relation to Mourinho's, Pogba linked his to Manchester and added that anyway he doesn't really know what will happen in the future.

Truly amazing. Even when there's nothing to it they manage to shift the blame to Mourinho somehow. Agendas if I ever saw one. He named him a captain ffs, as you say, but Pogba still wants to refuel the fire, even if he didn't say in the next few months part.

I think you are kidding yourself mate it is obvious to all that he doesn’t want to be here and in all honesty who cares he has shown very little on the pitch the prem is too fast for him back to Italy where the game is played at snails pace and he can play in a team so superior to the rest of the lge that he can stroll around the pitch taking selfies

All this is getting out of hand. The media are making us a laughing stock with everyone, and even fans on here are all mixed up. My wish is that we could just concentrate on our football and let that talk.

Mourinho is the manager, what he says goes.

What did Ferguson once say? Something about cutting the cord when a player gets above his station and starts to undermine the manager and becomes a disruptive influence in the dressing room.

Let's not forget that it's not only Jose he has fallen out with, him and Lukaku are not speaking anymore. Should we blame Jose for that too? I get the impression that Pogba is a bit of a bully and sulks when he doesn't get his own way. (remember him arguing with Sanchez over the penalty?)
Err actually the only person whose word goes at the club is Ed Woodward's, because well, he is the CEO.

The rest of them, Mourinho and Pogba included, should STFU and let the football do the talking.

He isn't the one picking the fight right now. Pogba is doing the talking.
Pogba might be talking now, but Mourinho has shown first that it is okay to use the media as a sounding board for your problems. Mourinho had no idea of the floodgates he was about to open. Or maybe he did, and just didn't give a feck.

Ahh Ok. So nothing he says you can trust him, unless he says something that points to him leaving United.

Mou has caused more drama than Pogba though. It clearly goes beyond that though as some fans literally criticized his haircuts which is pretty ludicrous. A haircut takes what? 1-2 hours out of the day which only happens every 2-3 weeks?
I think players should toe the line or just leave. Not a half way house of stays but causing a media circus.
We're one step away from the ronaldo 'slave' farce.

I do agree his haircut is irrelevant to anything

It's hit and miss really for most managers. Like others, considering how many players he has managed in his career in four different countries and the few he has had beefs with over the years, it's unfair to hang Jose for that.

But I don't want to derail this thread. It's Pogba's show here. :)

People seem to have forgot his comments about not being happy after Leicester game, trying to get #pogfeelings go viral, claiming his attitude wasn't right against Brighton even though supposedly he always gives 100%, and then he let Wario piss on a legend. All the while never confirming he wants to stay at the club standing behind him and paying him extortionate wages, but giving cryptic messages on social media and interviews to get even more media attention. Then he has the audacity to claim that he isn't the one talking...

Pogba doesn't give a shit about the club and its people who have nurtured him, nor the fans who have stood behind him. If I wasn't in South America I'd go to a game with a big banner saying "DO YOUR TALKING ON THE PITCH POGBA!", because that's what he needs to start doing. He's been garbage since the Leicester game, and I believe he was only motivated in that game to put himself in the shop window.

Im sorry, but thats a total misrepresentation of what he said in that interview and the context of it. He had just captained United to a win in the season premiere, which he knuckled down and played without practically any pre-season. He was obviously annoyed with the reporter for focusing on something completely different when he just had performed admirably. Might not have been the best answer semantically but it was obviously in affection and not this planned show of discourse that you and others make it out to be.
The Brighton-interview was completely honest as I saw it. He was obviously annoyed with himself for his and the teams performance and chose to blame himself.
I think he had done alright considering he didnt have a pre-season. Sure, could have done better but that goes for a lot if not all of the other players that does not have this excuse.
And I really hope that he and the club refrains from commenting on what is a made up discourse by the tabloids that some people here swallow whole.

Fellaini gets a lot of stick because what he's doing isn't enough mate. Sure he can be useful to break opposition attacks, can be useful in the air but he's extremely limited.

When we start him we're basically resorting to long ball football because of his poor passing and poor mobility so we can't exactly play quick football, with quick passing. He's always a liability due to his extremely rough (some may say dirty) way of playing and he's always making them dumb fouls in opposition box.

That's from the footballing side, but other big thing is that he reminds us of Moyes who bought him.
That’s where I disagree. When we bring him on perhaps it’s a long ball last resort but when he starts I don’t believe we play to hit fellaini long. Whether he’s on pitch or not we don’t typically play from back as de geas passing stats show. I personally think every weakness in his game is exaggerated to levels bigger than lukakus bad first touch and Ferguson’s notorious ‘limited tactics’. Some United fans are specialists in exaggeration when it comes to criticisms of our own.

This is probably the most accurate thing in this whole thread.

Either way it goes when manager and players squabble amount each other, it's the club that pays the price in the end.

But selective memory when it comes to manager is truly shocking.
Except Pogba threw his toys away and fecked off when Ferguson was in charge too.

So basically he was asked 2 questions in one sentence: Where do you see your future?, and, what do you think of United's performances right now? (Roughly)
And he answered the 2 questions in one sentence: I have a contact with Manchester United, and, we have to see what happens (with United's performances) in the next 2-3 months.

Clever work by the interviewer you have to say to get a perfect shitstorm of a misrepresented single quote

It’s either that or he never mentioned “months” in the quote as has been said by the French posters on here. Feel sorry for Pogba. He’s getting battered now over something he either never said or has been taken out of context.
