Not NBA but basketball related.

Lebanon just beat China in the World Cup qualifications.

We actually have a shot at making it to the world cup.

Ali Haidar and Ahmad Ibrahim were really really good. Majok in beast mode as usual.

Wish the team had Wael and Jean available.

I'll be going to California in the beginning of November and will try to catch a game. I've been looking at Lakers tickets as I wanted to see Lebron but because of the prices in Staples I'm not sure anymore. From what I read the nosebleed seats in SC are awful and not even worth buying, and those are the only ones within my budget realistically. I don't really want to spend a small fortune just to see a regular season game, so I've been looking at alternatives. Warriors for example, prices are similar but how are the nosebleed seats there? Doable? And are there any good sites for purchasing tickets? I've been checking seatgeek and NBA.com. Other ideas?

I watched Lakers last season at SC, seats were not too bad (at least I could easily recognise the players ), I sat at top mid section, got tickets for ~$40ea from vividseats if I remember correctly.

Never happened.

I remember when Doumiati once stopped a game to honor Hafiz el Assad's death though.

The supposed solution to the Mike Woodson mystery only invites more questions. Did a 50 year old man ask his barber to shave lines in his eyebrow?

Seeing rumours today about KD to LAL next year (BS imo) and what strikes me about NBA rumours is how sure people speak about them.

The sources always speak so definitively, it's quite funny.

I think there is more chance of him joining the Rams myself.

It's not that impossible but I think he's more likely to go to Knicks. I think he will leave GS anyway.

Anthony Davis will IMO go to LA but they will try to do some moves to still have space for a max player in 2019 free agency (probably Kawhi). I think they will trade for Davis during 2019-20 instead of getting him now, and will try to play Kawhi, LeBron and AD together. At some point AD has to become frustrated with his situation in New Orleans.

Can’t decide which NBA pass to buy. League Pass is pretty expensive but great. Team Pass is slightly over half the price but I would have no idea which team to get - Portland are a bit tricky because they might actually be pretty shit this season, I would actually maybe take Utah, Milwaukee or Philadelphia instead as they could be very interesting (Milwaukee with Bud is very interesting), or one of the young teams could be fun too - Suns or Mavs for example. This won’t work. Game Pass is pretty decent value at a third of the price of League Pass, you get 8 games which is fine but I often switch a lot between the games and with this I would have to select just one per night.

I'm thinking of buying the Nuggets team pass. See how my man Jokic will do this year. Have you looked into buying a League Pass via Brasil... through a Brazilian VPN? It's much cheaper.

As much as you like basketball I'd bite the bullet and get the league pass.

Highly doubt KD goes to L.A. He doesn't have the stomach to put up with the ridicule he'd get for joining LeBron. He should just go East and be the main guy on his own team.

That’s probably right. If I stay up for a night of games on Friday I usually watch 3-4 different games then alone, not to mention all the games I watch during the week by waking up at 5.30 or so (which is when third or fourth quarters of games on the West coast start).

True, didn’t think of that.

As I said, New York seems very plausible. They should be able to get Irving, Butler or even someone like Kemba Walker to pair him with plus they already have Porzingis and I think Knox will also show skills this season. Once Durant leaves GS the league will be wide open again so Durant, Irving and Porzingis is basically as good as anything. Even if you replace Irving with Kemba that’s still good enough.

What are your predictions for the West?

I think Toronto and Boston will win 55-60, Milwaukee and Philadelphia will win 50-55 and Indiana will win 45-50. Nobody below that has a good shot at winning the conference IMO. In the playoffs I would have Boston as favorites.

Very interested in how Bud impacts Milwaukee. Giannis will be comfortably the best player in the East this season, he has bulked up even more and has apparently worked on his shot (which has been gradually getting better anyway). He will be amazing, no doubt about it. If Bud gets the best out of Middleton and Bledsoe and the newly acquired Ilyasova and Lopez prove themselves then I can realistically see them having a shot at Finals or at least Conference Finals.

I think Philadelphia haven’t done enough in the market unfortunately so unless Fultz remembers how to shoot again or Simmons finds some touch at least from the mid-range they should be just slightly better than last season which might not be enough. The experience could prove to be crucial though. Boston will depend on Irving injuries and how good Hayward comes back after a year off. Toronto are a big unknown - will Nurse be a good coach for them? Will Leonard actually care and put up good performances? He’s better than DeRozan as a player but he has to perform at a very high level to replicate DeRozan’s production from the last few seasons. Indiana are basically Indiana, good team without true superstars.

I just buy full league pass. I find it worth it for the amount of games and condensed games I watch. If money is an issue there are ways around it which I will be happy to discuss in PM.

All the american sports do a great job on their league passes. It's a shame the Premier League never do anything similar.

There's a streaming site I can recommend. It's like league pass, but cheaper. I'll PM you the name.

and whats the deal with condensed games? thats something i could see myself doing more
Condensed games are generally 10 - 20 minute cut down games. Very handy to keep up with all the other games that aren't your own team. The xbox1 app of league pass is very good so I presume the PS4 one will be the same. No blackout rules in Europe but if you are based in the US there may be, not too sure.

I had it only for a season last year but it was very smooth. You can use it on your laptop or PS4 (it doesn’t work on PS4 in Poland though so I couldn’t and can’t tell you how good the app is). I used it mostly on my iPhone, never had any issues with connection, always very smooth. I have nothing to complain about really.

Basically this, condensed games are awesome. Between October and April I usually start my workday by watching 3-4 condensed games in the office before I get down to actual work.

There are blackouts to an extent as far as the league pass is concerned but it does not affect you actually seeing the game. For the most part if you have the league pass you can watch a game using either teams' color commentators (exceptions are Raptors games where you only get one choice = probably some Canadian copyright issue). However, if a game is being shown in your area both NBA league pass channels are blocked and you have to watch it from the local team's POV on the local channel.

Jimmy Butler wants to be traded to the Clips, Nets or Knicks apparently (shot fired at the Lakers). It's prob worth the Knicks trading for him, wonder if Mudiay + Hardway + a conditional pick would get it done.

So he wants to build his own team somewhere I guess. Wherever he goes Irving is going to the same team next year IMO.

It’s definitely interesting. I think he’s better off in New York so that is either Nets or Knicks.
