Raiola has been offering him around since January. He's been preparing to leave since well before the summer.
He offered him to City which is just ridiculous considering he's not in charge of Pogba's transfer and United would never sell him to City. It's pointless to take it serious.

There's more correlation to his relationship with Mourinho.

The thing is, Barcelona aren't going to put up with his nor his agents crap either.

Mistake in not giving him more minutes. A lot of United fans have this wrong belief that Fergie did not want Pogba, but that is obviously not true. He sent multiple first team players like Rio and Evra to convince him to stay. I think you're thinking the opposite going by your post. Pogba ended up on small wages at Juve, and he proved his talent there. Fergie blames Raiola for that incident. I believe it's a mixture of both.

This has been done to death though and not really relevant to the current circus. I'm just saying that Pogba leaving United isn't something to beat Pogba over with considering it obviously was the correct decision for his development. If a contract that guarantees playing time was needed to convince him to stay, I also agree that Fergie made the correct decision in not agreeing to it. That's different from his decision making during the season though.
Well that's fair enough really, can't argue much with that assessment though I obviously disagree with some elements. It's a massive cliché but I genuinely think this club needs players who are hundred percent commited and I very much doubt Paul cares that much about this club. Illustrated by leaving us once before in combination with the current turmoil which pretty much started with Guardiola coming out with Raiola offering Pogba, which is very typical.

Pogba's recent comments in the media, so both the 'I can't talk or I'm being fined' and this week's sly dig at the manager have been very conveniently 'unlucky' and awfully similar to what for example Justin Kluivert pulled at Ajax this summer, and I've seen stuff like this tens of times with Raiola clients. Of course I also understand his choices and behaviour from his point of view. But as a fan of this club I would say that leaving us at such a young age instead of fighting for a place shows what he's about, and now again angling for his big move to Spain, taking shots at our manager, while the team is genuinely struggling doesn't speak in his favour.

Same with an interview like this in the summer:

http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/st...france-star-paul-pogba-looking-impress-russia

"Long live Pogworld! Before he leaves, he is congratulated on not going after Mourinho. Pogba smiles. Russia is the canvas he needs. He's got to remind people that his vision of himself is more powerful than anyone else's.

He doesn't need to rip Mourinho.

"Not yet," he says.

I'm curious as to how anyone can think that Pogba loves Man Utd. I see no reason to think so.

It's ironic Pogba ranting about "attack attack attack" when France won the WC playing a defensive style that would make us look like a super attacking team :D

It's not ironic because clubs have far more freedom in the way they build a roster and follow a mentality, they are not limited to a nationality and they have far more time to build something.

no the feck we don't. so not enough top drawer performances from pogba? but enough from jose for you to say we trust him?
We have to trust him as he's the manager of the club.
Surely?
He needs our support and no matter how crap it is sometimes we need to be behind him as I don't think I could take another sacking and another manager.

United tried to build the team around him as the superstar, but he is the wrong type of player for that. Pogba also seems to think of himself this way, but he simply can't do it. All of that put way too much focus on him.
True. Let’s build it around Alexis or Lukaku instead. Yahhhhhhh

France National team has way more talent than our current Man Utd side. By miles!

It's not about talent but the players' profiles. Remember that France had a lot of injured players and players out of form because they were coming back from injuries. Lemar, Mendy, Coman, Sidibé, Dembélé. And most importantly France doesn't have a single game manager, playing counter attack is the easiest and most logical tactic and we can't really go and purchase the player that we are missing.

Jose isn't doing too well right now, but Pogba is basically making out as if he is bigger than the club.
If he wants to leave, he needs to be out in January.

The truth is that Sir Alex left this club in complete shambles with an aging squad. It's been non-stop circus since he left.

We've already seen what Pogba can do under a competent manager (see Allegri).

This news means its obviously time to move on from Mourinho.

No reason to delay the inevitable at this point, sack Jose and bring in a DOF and Zidane.

Let him go. Let his new club buy out his contract and let him sit in the stands till jan. sick of reading about this cnut. I don’t care how much of a bell end jose might be, Pogba needs to keep his shit behind closed doors. This fight in the media does nothing but destabilise the club.

You lot are so naive if you think pogba genuinely wants a move because of us being defensive.

He knows jose position is on a brink and he plays you lot like a violin.

Just like martial and how his supporters says he's better move on for his career. We're united supporter first, incase you forget.

 how about not putting anyone on a pedestal, because United doesn't have a single player is good enough for that?
Over the last few years the managers and the fans seem to hope, that a single transfer can fix all the deficiencies and carry the team. Messi can do that, but Pogba is no Messi. Pogba is never ever going to run the show neither as central midfielder who is controling games nor as offensive midfielder, who carries the creative burden.

I agree with you but I'm totally in the dark when it comes to understand the true reasons. I said it a few months ago that in France among reliable journos the talk has been that Pogba and Mourinho can't stand each others but no one has ever said why, it was also reported that he doesn't want to leave United. When you put two and two together it means that he wants Mourinho out which would explain some of the comments but I still don't know what happened.

Of course the money part needs to be considered too but it seems that the main issue is between player and manager.

Pogba is more valuable then an aging Jose to this club.

What Pogba has said isn't wrong, we do want to attack. Jose is failing and he's trying to control the situation, but who's going to be easier to replace?

There isn't many Pogba's in the world, but I can think of 10 coaches I'd happily take over Jose right now. I feel Woodward will agree.

Finally a bit of good news if Pogba is going.
Catch 22. If Pogba was going, Jose would still have to hang on till January, but he can't do that without a performing Pogba

Lot of hate for this guy going on now, as if he's a permanently caned Balotelli with an A level.

You need to keep Pogba at all cost. If you lose him you'll be in deep shit. For me, he's the only world class player in your team.

Ship out half of the team and build the team around him.
Wrong. The best thing they can do is to sell him. To us

Sack Mourinho, get Zizou along with Mbappe or Griezmann and another player or two and I bet you it would be day and night. It's not as bad as it looks right now I think, a change of manager can do wonders very fast for a club.
Especially with Zizou's hoodoo powers over the champions league

Watch them finish second in the group, draw Galatasaray in the rd16, Ajax who somehow sneaked in the QF, Slapstick Bayern in the SF, and then they beat Atletico in the final on penalties, in their own stadium

Pogba is a fecking weirdo, sadly. Fantastic talent but such a weird ass person and i don't think he'll ever fulfil his real potential. At least not here, because he doesn't think we're worth being given that gift. Pretty sure thats the case. I agree with the guy above who said he is playing ya'll like a fiddle, as he doesn't care about attacking or not he just doesn't want to be here and is using our situation to justify his desire to leave. Which is weird as feck because he could well have used that energy to carry the team and it would help our situation, instead he just acts like an asshole making a circus. Can't say I care much for all this Disney world drama

If Pogba wants to leave so badly he should officially hand in a transfer request rather than just trying to force us to sell by constantly undermining the manager and the club .
But of course that would affect his and his agents slice of the transfer fee.
He’s a disgrace

Don't forget lads, this is all a made up media narrative as the media all detest United. Well, so say RedCafe anyway.

Pogba is the only world class outfield player we have or have had since RVP.

However bad we are with him (and we are), we would be a degree worse without him.

Pogba's attitude isn't the disease here, it's the symptom of the disease.

Mou is the disease here.

I do genuinely believe that Pogba loves United, but his relationship with Mourinho is untenable.
The club seem to be sticking with Mourinho though, but in order for us to move on - something has to give, at least 1 of them needs to go.

Blind faith will only lead you down a precipice.

"we have to trust him as he's the manager". The recent trend is that we have handed that position to inept people. Committing to someone just because they hold the title of manager, despite not producing the goods, is a fool's errand. He has had time and substantial expenditure yet the team lacks basic competence. These are players he brought in, these are players he coaches on a daily basis. Its his responsibility. Rival teams that appointed new managers more or less around the same time we did are thriving and/or, at the very least, have a positive and readily recognisable style of play. We aren't even cohesive.

People are tripping over themselves to blame the squad and executives etc when the explanation could just be that the manager is simply just not good enough any more. Mourinho ended up here after being sacked for having Chelsea as 16th on the table, that doesn't just happen by accident.

"i don't think i could take another sacking". You shouldn't acclimatise to a mediocre situation all because of fear of the unknown.
