That would be a stupid thing to do since he wouldn’t get his payoff.
Makes sense his stock at United is declining rapidly, if as it looks likely he has his second league meltdown in the last 4 years, only Inter or PSG would probably touch him right now.

Plus Mourinho has an obsession with big tall strong fellas. They're all shite. Not one of them would get into any other team in the top six. It's a complete disaster.

Jose stands to pocket around £15 million should he get sacked right now. Such a sum of money is not to be sniffed at by any means, can hardly blame him for hanging around to be fair.
I mean he gave up most of his summer holiday to do punditry for Russia Today during the world cup, he clearly cares about money. I think he knows his time is up, he's given up on this squad and is now just looking to get sacked. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Mourinho is a symptom of bigger issues that still haven't been resolved.

United were run like an old fashioned club up to Ferguson's retirement. He was literally the manager and had a hand in everything.

The infrastructure wasn't there and still isn't there.

They need a European/modern model of DoF, scouting network, and a coach who fcuking inspires the players and is centred solely on coaching them.

But they need to change the set up first. Bringing in another "top" manager, such as a Conte or Zidane figure would solve nothing.

The club is royally fcuked.
Agree my completely. SAF was the one managing almost everything for the club. Him leaving exposed the lack of planning for the club. All panic decisions following panic decisions regarding managerial appointments and transfers. Zero strategy.

Fergie was really and truly the club. After him we're lost.

Time to start learning from the other clubs around us who were never reliant on a single manager for +20 years.

Exactly. However it could be a good opportunity to get rid of some.
It pains me to see youngsters like Fosu Mensah/Tuanzebe on loan and we keep playing dross like Lindeloff
I agree. Both TFM and Tuanzebe have showed so much promise, they can't be any worse than what he saw today.

It would make sense to hang arund for that kind of pay off no matter what, but absolutely yes.

The 15 million figure has to be rubbish. Considering his track record of having meltdowns it would be crazy to think that the club does not have a reasonable get out clause in his contract.

The bigger issue is the club can't fire him and be seen to let Pogba win the battle between them.

Inter maybe but no way when it comes to PSG. Players will veto a move like that, they play a type of football that is the complete opposite of what they aspire

We need to get rid of both of them and start fresh. We cant have either of them at the club poisoning the rest of the squad further

Part of the problem is that he’s a massive prick who cares more about himself than anything else. It creates a toxic atmosphere that filters in to the club and the players. He’s obviously lost the dressing room, we can all see his methods are trash so obviously the players can see it too. Can’t help but wonder where Chelsea would be if they’d stuck with him and ditched Hazard & the rest of the players who disagreed with his crap football.

Why the feck is he still manager? The longer we keep him, the more damaging the situation gets. It's not even a matter of saving our season, I've accepted that it's pretty much over bar a miracle in the UCL. But we need to look at next season. If we appoint someone now, they'll have all of this season to prepare for next.

Mourinho is doing just fine. Give me a team with Chris Smalling as the number 1 CB and I’d struggle staying up, even if I had Ronaldo

There is absolutely no reason to keep him. He "tactics" are dreadful. His comments to the media are simply a disgrace. The entire club has become toxic. I've been watching United since a kid, well over 15 years. This is the worst I've ever felt it - even with Moyes it just felt like a one off mistake. With Mourinho, the longer he stays, the longer it feels it will take to fix this.

Ed does not need Pogba as a reason/excuse to fire Mourinho. Questionable team selections and shambolic tactical plan leading to 3 early season defeats as well as an early exit from a Cup competition is more than enough reason.

Nah, it's not like that at all, everyone knows what Jose is, and how long he lasts at clubs, we could sack him tomorrow and no one would think any different of us, we'd be insane to sell half the squad just to prove we back the manager.

He needs sacking, and 'player power' won't be mentioned in the aftermath imo.
Problem is you're still making this a player vs manager decision. Most are judging the manager on the quality of his work not which players like or don't like him
I actually think there's a difference in Jose now. At Real Madrid, Chelsea we did indeed see a short-term manager chucking in the towel and begging the owners to give him a nice big pay off after 2 or 3 years' hard work. With making Pogba captain this season, cutting public criticism of players, cutting all moaning of failed transfers after the window closed, we see a far more conciliatory Mourinho still absolutely determined to make his dream job work. We also however see players who know our history of sacking post-Fergie managers on a whim and know the manager himself historically gets sacked after a couple of seasons, and so due to his high level of demands and unrepentantly forthright style of management are deciding to play into that and get in a more simpering replacement.

It's blindingly obvious that whatever we do now dictates what the players do next time they're faced with a similar situation; doesn't matter if it's Zidane, Pochettino, Guardiola, they can kiss their squad's desire goodbye if they too dare question King Pogba's desire to track back. Why is that desirable?

He will worm his way into PSG mark my words but we need to get rid of him first!

Mourinho's turn now.

All of SAF's incredible work put to shame by 3 charlatans.
I suppose you can have lengthy debates about the respective qualities (or lack of) of those three individuals but what is certain is how much the board have failed at delivering on the one goal that they seemed to set out above all others which was that there would not be a repeat of the saga which occurred post-Busby.

He signed Bailly and Lindelof and neither of them are working out (although I do think they are good players).

Again this has nothing to do with taking Pogba's side. The people who are changing their vote aren't doing so to side with Pogba. Tactics, results, team performances, these are legit reasons you're ignoring

The day SAF left is the day the club changed forever. We should get off our high horse, we aren't special. Better clubs than us get rid of their managers when things don't work out
These days, clubs can't afford to give managers to much time. You don't have time if you want to hang with your rivals. It's all about instant results.

I hope you're right. Then again I'd hope the "conversations" with Zidane would have gone beyond initial by now!
That's what really ticks me off about the running of this club, any half decently run club should have finalised Jose's replacement and just be waiting till the appropriate time to fire him. Our next manager issues should have been sorted by now already, but knowing Woody, its probably the day after he sacks Jose he'll start checking google for available managers. I won't be surprised is we haven't contacted Zidane or anyone at all at this point, we are that incompetent.
