He himself is the virus. He has run our club into the ground.

Sack the bastard and put Carrick in charge for the remainder and then employ Zidane or Conte. I don’t care how much compensation he has to be paid, we are super rich, what’s the fuss over a few million now all of a sudden?

We are a fcuking joke, it’s unbelievable.
Sack yes , but Carrick ? that would be worse then Giggs, he is in no position to be United caretaker manager.

Source for this? I've only ever heard the self styled God, Zlatan, have nothing but praise for him and has consistently hit out at his critics in the press
I will have to look for it but I did read that he said in effect these words to Pogba. I've tried looking for it but you will only find good things online that he has said about Pogba. It wasn't a critique of Pogba as far as Irecall, just a bit of advice from Zlatan about dedication and humility, you can have all the moves of a freestyler but players like Keane/Viera/Gerrard will tear you apart if you aren't applying yourself or giving you're all.

Who in any profession would be ok with having a boss that constantly blames everything and everybody but himself for things not working out? Players always have the option to leave and Mourinho has to leave. Bring in Eddie Howe and lets start a proper rebuild 6 years after Fergie with a manager playing football in the right way. How on earth did Mourinho come to the conclusion to leave Martial on the bench yesterday after he has scored 4 goals in the last 3 away games? Is Mourinho and his "masterstroke" of signing Sanchez on wages higher than all others in the squad causing the problems with the De Gea contact? A manager has to lead by example and what message has Mourinho been sending out? One of a true leader or a person thinking of himself above everything else? Who made signings for 400million pounds and most of them flops? I have had enough of Mourinho, I also dislike how Pogba seems to not care at times but they seemded to be able to get him playing well at Juventus. So the question really is, who should you replace? The manager or the team? The answer is there for all to see.

The best midfielders around the world are mostly surrounded by top quality talent in their teams more often than not and it's always been that way. That doesnt ever take away from their ability but they can't go at it on their own and they never seem to be expected too either

Would love to see the likes KdB,Eriksen and the others mentioned try to do it in an immobile midfield with Fellaini and Matic. Chances are they'd struggle with it as well.

If it came down to it,I'll side with the player who's still redeemable and has shown more than a manager who has a habit of turning clubs into shambolic shitshows in efforts to protect his fragile ego 10 times out of 10

The season is done mate, let it go.
Anyone who isn’t a complete abomination would be fine as a caretaker, Carrick is not going to do any worse than Jose, I honestly don’t see much of a risk in such an appointment.

I can see your point , BUT we are still in the CL , the PL is gone yes , but we need to at least try and get top 6 for European football next season and there is the FA Cup, Carrick would be a mistake, need to continue learning has an assistant, but then again under Jose what is he learning ?

He definitely needs to go. I still put the majority of the blame on these players and we will see what happens under a new coach but his time here is done. He was given the opportunity to revive a reputation in tatters and he self imploded. We should definitely be going in to January with someone else but we should also be making plans to clear out 5/6 players this summer but we know Ed will make the same mistakes he has been making since he got the job.

Surely it's better to bring in the next manager now and give them half a season, that way we go into the next one better prepared.

So give it to a guy who just started coaching instead of giving to the full time replacement now so he start working now to get us where we need to be by the start of next season? A sound plan.

Whatever Mourinho said at Half time to Pogba seems to have had a adverse effect which reflected in his performance. Pogba has played under Conte, Allegri and Deschamps and seems to have had no issue.

It's pretty obvious to me that Mourinho has had a falling out with quite a few players and has burned his bridges with them. A player who is unhappy will obviously not display his best due to the the tumescent shit on a stick type of football we've seen at the club and a cnut of manager who has never aligned with the clubs values and traditions.

Players are only human beings and won't display their best if the atmosphere around them is toxic. Mourinho to me seems like he's trying his utmost to get the pay out from the club and join his buddy Florentino Perez at Real Madrid. Get rid of him now and get someone like Poch or Howe who will play football that aligns with a huge club like ours before this narcissistic cnut does even more damage. Our players will enjoy football again under a forward thinking manager who wants to attack.

Whilst that makes sense, let’s actually take our time and hire a dof first and then get Poch or whoever in the summer.

No point rushing out to hire Conte or Zidane now. Neither will help us.

Nicky Butt?
If he’s jot gong to be our full time, then no. If we are sacking Jose it has to be for a full time replacement. Let him work with the squad for the rest of the season, get a summer window to make the changes he needs and by the tim Ernest season starts we are off to the races. Anything else is just utterly pointless.

It would be hard to get a full time replacement now mid season. Other than Zidane there’s nobody available.

Then there’s no point in sacking Jose now. Getting a dof isn’t dependent on Jose. That can be done anyway.

Well, if Pogba's pass completion rate is lower than expected "because he's technically gifted", has it occurred to statisticians that this is precisely because he's forced to attempt more ambitious passes on more occasions in order to force the play, since the movement around him is so poor.

Lukaku is more static than a living room tv. Matic and Fellaini have the vertical movement of a steam train. Of course he gets dispossessed. He's always isolated.

Deep down, we all know that Pogba would look a million bucks in Pep, Poch, Klopp or Emery's systems.

I hope t his is true. The board will ALWAYS side with Pogba (because he's a world wide brand and extremely marketable) and therefore we could finally be rid of the true virus -- Mourinho.

Jardim is available is he not? And well suited to team building, which is what we need.
Jardim is currently in Saudi Arabia to finalize his deal with some club over there. Not sacking Mourinho already, is already costing United.

I've said since Palace Jose probably needs to go now. Pogba needs to go regardless of our manager, I was never keen on his signing and despite genuine efforts to appreciate him as a player he just has far far too many cons.
Probably? Madness that Jose's management has been so poor, but it's only been since the Palace game that you "probably" think he should be sacked. Yet you were never keen on the player that saved his arse so many times.

He's certainly overrated amongst United fans. Neutrals broadly laugh at how overrated he is.
If Pogba is overrated then Jose is fraud.

Whoever replaces Jose will have a really difficult time integrating Pogba into a hard working, drilled team.
Whoever replaces Jose won't play such rubbish football. Pogba has thrived under managers such as Conte, Allegri, and Deschamps. He will be fine once that cancer of a manager is sacked.

Pogba and Jose are both toxic. Who signed them both? Incompetent Woodward. Pogba was a disgrace yesterday. Any manager would have said so. That’s the managers job. It’s clear Jose has lost too many players in his time here though. We have such a huge task to get back to the top. arsenal Liverpool and spurs have passed us out while we’ve transitioned into nothing only farce. Sick management all over. Bad ownership. Bad scouting. Bad footballing decisions. The stadium falling into disrepair. The only silver lining is the youth setup.

His replacement has had an even worse time

It's a bit tough to keep up a certain level when you're board sells off literally all of your quality talent...

His track record checks the boxes of what most fans would want in a United manager

I have no idea who are the candidates for the job, but I doubt any of them are available now. It doesn’t work that way, unless they are out of job at the moment.
And I’m not sure it’s such a great idea to bring a full time manager to this toxic mess of an environment left by Jose, let things settle down a bit before the new guy comes in.

Avram Grant took over from Jose and went to a CL Final... Negativity is always more powerful than the positive and you can't underestimate just how huge a destructive factor Jose's attitude, tactics and behaviour are having. We absolutely will not win anything with him so why not just cut the cancer out now.

Technically Fellaini saves Mourinho's ass more often than Pogba does.

Examples of Pogba saving Mourinho's ass include his astroundingly terrible performance at Brighton, costing us the game against Wolves by pratting around with the ball, costing us a crucial goal away at Chelsea because he couldn't be bothered to pay attention from a corner, yesterday's "performance".

The problem is people are so fixated on Mourinho they have to make it Pogba vs Mourinho. In reality, Mourinho's increasingly bizarre behaviour and idea of management doesn't explain or excuse Pogba's performances. He shows a basic and actually impressively consistent lack of professionalism.

People seem to want to believe that being talented makes it o for Pogba to perform terribly, but actually it makes it worse. When Darmian is rubbish you know it is because he is, in fact, a bit rubbish. When Pogba is rubbsh it's usually because he's busy day dreaming or pratting around. Mentality is as if not more important than ability, and Pogba just doesn't seem to have it.
His "languid" style annoys you, that's what it is. Pogba didn't cost us the game against Wolves, our shit manager did. Pogba made a mistake early in the second half, after getting an assist in the first and being probably our best outfield player on the day. Wolves dominated that whole game and deserved to win. Missing a marker on a corner is something that happens, but when it's Pogba this will get mentioned for years to come. The Brighton-game was just a shocking team-performance, don't know why Pogba deserves to take more blame for that than anyone else.

People who's so eager for us to sell him really deserves the sideway crap football we've been served for years. Pogba hasn't performed half as bad as Hazard did in Mourinho's final season at Chelsea, and I'm sure there were lots of Chelsea-fans who wanted rid of Hazard as well. There's surprisingly many of these absolute morons who thinks these players should rack up world-class performances every week, in a struggling side, and with a poisonous fecking snake of a manager who can't wait to rip into his own players when things are going bad.

Not sure if this has been discussed yet but during the press conference he was asked why the club can't invest when they're the richest club in the world and he said something like "I spoke about that a few weeks ago". What was he on about?

Why the feck are you turning my post about Pogba into a Mourinho debate?

I said probably because I've always maintained Jose should go if he can't get top 4. This is highly likely, so he should probably go (I can't say certainly unless he somehow manages top 4 in the tiny chance he does).

Now stop nit picking my posts because I said "probably" rather than certainly and look at the actual point, which is that Pogba is overrated as feck. He's actually been inconsistent under all the managers you've named, did you actually bother to watch him much at Juventus? Phenominal at times and sub par at others. If you want an actual opinion go visit the thoughts of Juventus fans in their respective forums.

Pogba couldn't pass or control the ball yesterday. In my opinion that is independent of his manager. That is basics, the fundamentals of being a footballer. A 89M midfielder?

He lost the ball 8 times! He literally stood and waited for someone to take the ball then jogged back in a attempt to regain it. As a manager, how do you fix this?

He either doesn't care or was having the worst day. Then again we always see these things in his game. How many times this season has he lost a ball by dallying and literally did nothing to regain it? With these performances, how can you trust this player?

I'd hope that our star player is held to a higher standard that what he is showing.

Some players just can’t take direction from managers. Fergie had a few run ins with players here too. The only difference is they were gone at the very next opportunity. Pogba is a great footballer but he has to put in a shift at the very least. This is the second time he’s let this club down. Unfinished business, coming back home my arse. Marketing. He couldn’t care less. The manager is fighting for his job and his reputation. Pogba plays for himself and it’s not good enough half the time. That doesn’t take away from the fact that Jose is done here. I feel like Pogba would have the same issues with any manager who gives him the hairdryer. I may also add it’s a lot easier for pogba to do it for a dominant Juve or France team where he only needs to play well half the time. He’s been found out here. He’s a really good player, our best player but his heart isn’t in it.

Exactly. He wasn't languid yesterday, he was freaking static. Herrera had to cover ground for him while he was strolling around giving the ball away. Doesn't excuse Mourinho though.

None of that is relevant to Pogba, he took direction from Conte, Allegri and Deschamps while SAF offered him a 3 year contract that he declined to sign for Juventus. So again, how is your point relevant to Pogba and at which point has he been toxic?
